The weights in the weight room are never, ever, ever sorted into their correctly labeled spots (you can only blame other patrons up to a certain point--then you have to start asking why the staff aren't enforcing a sorting rule or sorting them themselves). 2. The wifi is spotty. 3. When equipment breaks, repairs take forever. One of the selectorized weight machines had a weight that stuck for months and months after I politely mentioned it to staff multiple times. 4. The men's bathroom by the weight room often has a very strong urine smell and the hinge on the stall door is not dependable. And handle on the sink in there has been broken for weeks. 5. The second hand on one of the wall clocks in the weight room is broken, and has been for a long time, which is frustrating if you want to time a lifting rest. (It's a small thing, but it's the kind of thing staff should handle without having to be asked by their customers. Plus, who wants to be "that guy" who asks them to fix their clock? I already asked once--now I'd rather use up my political capital asking about the wifi.) 6. Any time you have to do ANYTHING in the office, it takes forever. Reception and basic bookkeeping tasks move at a snail's pace. Again, all the staff are very nice, and overall things are not bad. However, there are some continual/recurring (and frustrating) problems that appear to be a lack of proper management.

They had colorful booths of different countries. Everyone looked gorgeous dressed in colorful or bejeweled costumes. The event was an explosion of color, music, art, international countries, children, and fun. I passed the info to lots of people but no one went. You got a passport and stamped at each country. The place was full of love, children, and art. The had an arts and crafts area for children and adults. I made a jeweled cherry blossom tree there. If you were hungry, they had food trucks outside and a food/ drink place inside. The food smelled delicious. I did not eat any though. There was non stop live entertainment from different countries on a stage. They also had a story time tent. I came later during the day, but the place was busy. If you have children, enjoy art, or love international festivals, I would strongly encourage you to go to this event next year. It is fun and free entertainment. The art work was very impressive. I love the Native American Indian art painted by a teenager named Juan. I wanted to buy a card or print of his painting of a Cherokee Indian on the Trail of Tears. I ate some food from Mexico-yum, talked to a beautiful girl in the Venezuelan booth, made a jeweled cherry blossom tree, and met a cool Russian artist designing tarot cards. I wanted to take a picture of a buck deer made of barb wire. My favorite booth was of Japan. It was the most beautiful and creative booth. I liked having a bunny origami made for me with my name on the back. Watching the lady draw in Japanese calligraphy and seeing beautiful women and children in kimonos were very beautiful and enchanting to me. All in all a spectacular day and mini adventure at 2019 Hopkinsville International Festival.

Glow golf was rough for this old gramma -- dark and kind of dangerous with all the hidden ups and downs making navigating the various holes a bit scary (in that I feared falling and breaking bones, neither of which happened, thankfully). I was very glad when the mini golf was over! Actually, I think my grandsons were as well. They also have daylight outdoor mini golf, which would have been a better choice for me. Afterward I gave each boy $10 in quarters (ATM and change machines on site) to play with in the arcade. Prizes were crap, naturally, but they had fun. A few games were out of order, sadly. My children are now 8 and 10 and I still feel they can enjoy the playground. It offers something for children of all sizes. The inside facilities could still use some updates. The workout area is still not something I feel drawn to use as it is squeezed into an area that all people pass through on their way to class, the pool, or any other parts of the facility. The area is dark and glum and, since I have enough trouble finding self-motivation to work out, this is something I'd like to see changed. I'm not sure the facility has a better space for it, but daylight and more openness would go a long way in improving this experience. Kudos to the facility for offering a variety of classes ranging from fitness (including yoga, swimming, Zumba and more) to after-school care and even guitar lessons. It is a well-rounded facility that all ages can benefit from. I have seen seniors doing aqua aerobics and there is a small daycare room for the younger children. This could be improved with increased toys and activities, but it is offered and can help a mom get a workout in when she otherwise might not.

Five stars because it's paradise for our family when we can't go to the beach or otherwise choose a…read morestaycation. We've had so many great memories here over the years. The campground is normally well manicured, a genuine camping experience with the amenities of a bath house and certain sites having electric and water. The only thing I could dock stars for (but figure it's part of camping anyway), would be the bath house. The sheer amount of spiders and large insects lingering around at all hours is insane, especially when showering or dropping the deuce, as 8 legs come hauling ass your way! The campground has become increasingly packed on weekends with many of the sites being booked months in advance. That's fine by us. Our schedule allows us to be off while the majority of the workforce is hard at it. We absolutely love being at the campground through the week, especially while school is in session. This allows us to sometimes be the only campers in the area and the waters of Nolin lake to be like glass. The campsites vary in length and layout as well as some that offer electric and water. They all have a picnic table, lantern hook and a fire ring with grill top. Just bring a tent and some chairs, don't forget the graham crackers, chocolate and the marshmallows and make memories that you and your family will cherish forever. You will see plenty of deer and wild turkey in the area throughout the year. Many of the sites have lakefront footage as well, allowing you or loved ones to wet a line and maybe catch dinner for the evening. Hope your family enjoys your stay as much as mine, Happy Camping!
