Instead, we watched through the live suite camera as our dogs were fed breakfast while there was still feces and what appeared to be urine in their suite. The attached screenshots show the waste remained in the room from 7:43 AM until at least 8:28 AM, and the suite wasn't cleaned until later that morning. Obviously my dogs will not eat if their food is right next to feces or urine. And they did not even send a message of them not touching the food... Feeding dogs in a soiled suite is a basic sanitation issue and completely unacceptable for a facility that markets itself as a luxury pet resort with 24-hour staff and daily housekeeping. We ended the stay early because we no longer felt comfortable leaving our dogs there. Although they refunded the unused nights, no one apologized for what we witnessed. We were even charged for baths, yet our dogs came home still smelling dirty. We paid thousands of dollars expecting exceptional care. Unfortunately, this was not our experience.

They were kennel workers that were promoted, by the owner Laura because she was desperate for the income. My dog had been coming here for several months and was "trained" with them for a week as what they call a refresher to ensure he is a good fit. They always praise him, send me pics and videos of how amazing he is. I was in Europe on vacation, and Laura Cresto sends me a text message letting me know that they can't handle my dog and despite that he is showing aggression they'll watch him until I'm scheduled to get back a week later. Naturally, I asked for proof of videos as they have cameras recording in every single room and keep said recordings for 30 days. She wouldn't send me any videos, and then claimed that I had to be there the next day to pick up my dog because they couldn't handle him anymore. It's funny how she went from "we can manage to keep him for a week" to "pick him up tomorrow morning" after I asked for proof within hours. She basically said you have to come get your dog by tomorrow morning or else, the flight time alone was roughly 10 hours and then add a connection. Luckily I had the means to do so, but who is paying for my new flight, loss of costs on my other flights and all the hotel accommodations that were already paid for? There was zero compassion for what I was going thru despite that my dog was in her care. Still, I kept pressing her about providing me proof which she finally sends that was recorded from a cell phone, not her cameras. In the video you can CLEARLY see that the person is NOT a trainer and does not know how to handle my dog. This person has only been working there for a month with zero experience in real dog training prior to coming on board with K9 Off Leash. I FOUND A SCAB ON THE RIGHT SIDE OF HIS FACE with a huge bulge around it, which tells me he's been struck. Maybe he's acting defensive because someone physically struck him with an object? He doesn't play with other dogs there because of his repaired ACL's and Laura confirmed he hadn't. She initially stated his behavior was like this from the moment I dropped him off a week prior. I told her this was a grotesque understatement of the level of irresponsibility it is to not have informed me Immediately. She said, "I didn't want to bother you because we specialize in this field of dogs and aggression." Then when I pointed it out via text, she back peddles and states that the behavior started only a day prior. She claimed it was so bad that they had to take him out in a full bite suit, yet when I asked her for the videos of proof she couldn't furnish them. Her words "Thank God we have this gear otherwise we wouldn't be able to handle your dog at all." They do not currently own a bite suit of any kind. When I went to pick up my dog, I recorded the entire interraction between myself, Sierra, the new employee(I don't know his name) and their new head trainer who just stood in the background observing and recording. Sierra is a 24 year old office manager. The new employee who started only a month ago actually put his hands on me when I went to retrieve my dog and stood in front of his kennel/room to avoid me from getting him because I refused to pay, and brought out a leash to take him out himself. You claim he is so aggressive that you have to wear a bite suit to take him out, yet you are trying to take him out while I am standing there after I have told them again and it is known that he is protective of me.You're more concerned with keeping my dog to get paid, then releasing him back into my custody despite how aggressive you claim he's been? While all of this is going on, despite how upset I am and the fact that this employee is holding the door to prevent me from getting my dog after he physically put his hands on me, my dog is still wagging his tail, ears back and crying for me with ZERO aggression displayed towards anyone there. Then Sierra says, we have to call the cops. I told her please do so, or I can call them myself. Instead she calls Laura who tells her to let me go with my dog. I wonder why? They didn't give him any of his pain meds, so he was in pain the entire time there and they missed many doses of his allergy meds. He came back to me in pain, scabbed/bruised, and with hives all over. The level and layers of LIES/DECEIT, NEGLIGENCE, LACK OF DECENCY/ COMPASSION, ABUSE OF ANIMALS, COMPLETE DISREGARD AND INCOMPETENCE for an animal's well being and the way they treat their owners is beyond disturbing. Annie is so precise and perfect, I'll bet if you measured any point on their fur, it would be exactly 1 inch. It's this perfection plus a sense of personal artistry and enormous kindness to the animals that makes the big difference. When you walk in, you can see just about every dog wagging their tail, not looking terrified of the clippers. She even washes and ties back their bandanas; she even gets the right color bandana on the correct sister and they're almost identical. She's not only inventive (ex: little bit longer fur just by the corner of their eyes to keep away gnats), she's terrific, highly professional and very friendly. While not the cheapest game in town, she's like the L'Oreal of the dog grooming world: because you're woof it baby!

They explained that the dogs play all day, have activities, are separated by temperament, and that puppies are carefully monitored. This gave me peace of mind since I had concerns about his joints, breaks, and being around larger dogs since he's just a baby. When I dropped him off, the man at the desk was also professional and explained that Murphy would receive a temperament assessment around lunchtime, and I'd get a call afterward with an update. He said I could either pick Murphy up then or leave him longer depending on how things went. Unfortunately, I never received a call or text. When I finished work and called them, the woman who answered was short and unenthusiastic -- she simply said, "Oh yeah, we have Murphy. He's in with the dogs, he's fine." Her tone left me uneasy. When I arrived, I found Murphy sitting off to the side in the large dog area, panting and looking unhappy. The dogs in the group were very large, and one was jumping excessively on top of other dogs (I'm talking like a kangaroo. 6ft in the air. The dog should be named jelly bean). Murphy, normally playful and confident, seemed timid and off. To make things worse, he was completely soaked -- his belly, legs, tail, everything. The floor of the play area was covered in large puddles of liquid, and while the staff member tried to tell me it was just "water from the hose," it was clearly urine. Once home, it was undeniable from the smell that he had been sitting and lying in urine (possibly mixed with feces). I was told dogs are only walked once a day and use a grass area outside. From what I saw, the indoor space has no toys or stimulation, and the floors are left wet with urine throughout the day. This means the dogs are essentially playing and laying in filth for hours. I left with Murphy timid, drenched in urine, and completely unlike his normal happy self. When I raised concerns, I was met with a dismissive response rather than care or reassurance. While I was in the lobby, I actually asked other people dropping off their dogs if they would recommend this place, since I was so concerned. To my surprise, they said they would. So perhaps some dogs are less sensitive to the environment, need less enrichment, or hygiene isn't as much of a concern to their owners. It's possible I caught the facility on a bad day. I am grateful this was a free trial because I would not have paid for such substandard care. Unfortunately, based on this experience, I will not be bringing Murphy back. I sincerely hope the facility improves its sanitation, communication, and oversight, because the way the dogs are kept now is unacceptable. - I felt providing an update on this review is important for anyone considering bringing their pup to DogTown. After I picked Murphy up from daycare and wrote my initial review, he slept for hours and hours. When he finally woke up, he had developed a severe limp in his front leg. The limp worsened, and he ended up at the vet today. Thankfully, there are no broken bones, but the vet believes it's either a soft tissue injury or a hairline fracture. This almost certainly came from the rough play that's allowed at Dog Town, as Murphy had no issues prior and had just been cleared at the vet the week before during routine vaccines. My poor 5-month-old puppy is now on pain medication and sedation so we can keep him practically on bed rest while we hope his injury heals on its own. The vet also noticed a growth on his lip, which is canine papilloma virus. While I can't say with 100% certainty that it came from here, research shows it's commonly spread in dog daycare and boarding facilities, and the timing makes it very possible. With both of these things, I truly wish I could rate this place negative five stars.

Our dog, while small, happens to be such a dog. She LOVED it here, she NEVER got seriously hurt, and we felt totally comfortable taking here. Your dog might not be such a dog. If she is not, you should take her elsewhere. But if your dog is super-sociable and good at handling other dogs, you should take her here.
