    Everything brand new.

Very large, separate, small and large dog park. Good parking on street, away from busy highway . Adjacent to nice community park that doesn't allow dogs. Everything is brand new. Wood chips are good quality and not in every section. The agility equipment and benches are treated with heat resistant material. Trees are small but will grow. I like the cement sidewalks that are in both dog parks. Good idea. I counted 3 human/dog drinking fountains in large dog park and 2 in small.

Very nice AND clean dog park not too far from the main road or from base! You past a residential area and a construction business and the dog park is the last park on your left. It's separated by weight (over and under 30lbs) and both sides have recreational activities for the dogs to enjoy. There is a pathway that is very clean also! And a lot of seating room is available! I'm excited to start running in here with my dogs and get exercise for us both!

The Ranch Park is one of my favorites in the Big Bear City area. For anyone visiting Big Bear who…read morewould like to visit a park but not deal with tourist-heavy areas, The Ranch Park is such a wonderful spot. Located in the back of a residential area, the park features relaxing energy with some beautiful nature / mountain views. If you're looking for a place to see the famous Big Bear Wild Burros (donkeys), they are often roaming around this neighborhood, especially if you take Lakewood Drive to the back of the neighborhood. Sometimes they can be seen wandering around The Ranch Park, especially when it's early in the morning or late in the evening and not super crowded. There's a really nice fenced in dog park (The Ranch Bark Park), but also lots of other features including a playground, climbing rock, tennis courts, basketball courts, and a ADA-friendly walking path. Parking has never once been an issue in all the years that I've been visiting this park. There's a large free lot in the center of the park, as well as an additional lot across the street, and other places in the neighborhood where you could park on the street if you needed to. No structured bathrooms, but lots of porta potties that are regularly checked and usually pretty clean.

This is the second time going to this park where big dogs where in the small dog side. The first…read moretime there was a regular older man who had all his large dogs in the small dog side. He appeared to be somewhat of a conversationalist. He saw me hesitate and yelled, "come on in". I seen other big dogs in there and since no one was in the big dog side it appeared he was telling everyone to merge to the small side. I waited for a minute to observe what was going on and overheard him telling a young man that "sometimes rules are meant to be broken". It was a waste of time and gas for me. Just a note:, I adopted two small rescue dogs from the kennel and they are manic panic whenever they are near Large dogs which is why I bring them to the small designated side of the dog park until their trauma and recovery subsides. The second visit I noticed a very large Irish setter sheep hound type dog in the small dog park. Unfortunately, I had to say something as I wasn't about to turn around this time at the expense of some else's convenience. As the owner walked past me with his dog he said, "my dog doesn't like other bid dogs" . I replied, "I'm sorry to hear that but neither do mine so I am sure you van understand". Perhaps the city can post a sign at the entrance to enforce this rule in more detail since some people appear to feel they are above others?
