There's enough shade during the hot days but we generally went early in the morning to beat the heat. There are multiple water fountains for the dogs to use which is great. Area is pretty clean and the owners generally pick up after their dogs. There is one spot on the grass where the sprinklers are either broken or the water doesn't drain because it's a little bit muddy there but otherwise it's a nice place to let's the dogs run.

The smaller toddler section is almost fully shaded, and is the biggest toddler section I've found in the desert, with slides, steps, and accessible bridges. Even the swings are shaded! The best part, the bathrooms (although they are public and not the cleanest) is super close to the playground, which is highly important when it comes to having a toddler or young children. This park is also fenced all the way around! Definitely highly recommend this underrated playground and park. Included around the playground and dog park is a basketball court, sand volleyball court and grassy field.

She couldn't even run and play outside at our resort. So, she definitely needed her own getaway spot, and this couldn't have been better. I only wish there were some other dogs there for her to play with and sniff. Bad timing, not the park's fault. Owner and dog friendly, there are two sections, one for big dogs, one for small. There was plenty of cooling green grass, mature trees offering comfortable shade from the unrelenting desert sun, sturdy concrete benches, a permanent canopy with misters going, a clean water dish, a handful of slightly used tennis balls, a pooper scooper and bags, and of course, the obligatory fence so our canine friends can frolic leash-free. GPS for Google Maps is way off. You will find this terrific dog park next to the large parking lot for the YMCA, in the PS Civic Center.

A lady comes up to me & says "they're looking for you". I don't understand & walk back to say oh they found me they're looking for you as well. "Jackie" states " I have papers nothing to worry about" while her friends let out a great big laugh. To say this to someone who is minding their business sitting down is unacceptable & wildly inappropriate.
