Idk if this is standard in michigan, but it made us happy to know that our pets wouldn't be exposed to any illnesses. They also interview every dog before allowing it to stay. I really enjoyed using the web cameras to check in on our pups every now and then. The staff was really nice at check in and check out. We will certainly use CBW again when we go out of town.

I started with Michigan Dog Training in the puppy class with Fidget earning her Star Puppy and then…read morethe Basic class and was very impressed. Eventually, after training Fidget at home for a while and other training, I decided to train her as a service dog for my social anxiety which is recognized by the ADA as a disability. Working privately with Michael has been amazing. I couldn't believe how much his knowledge about dogs has made such a huge difference in Fidget. The change after just one lesson was evident. I've learned that the e-collar isn't a punishment but rather just a tool to get her attention. Kind of like a tap on the shoulder. With my continuing the training at home and Michael, she's mastered walking on a loose leash, focusing on me versus her surroundings, recall, disregarding other dogs, the necessary tasks to be a service dog and earned her CGC and CGCA. We will soon be starting Advanced Training.

I took my dog here for the first time this week, three days of daycare, and we both LOVE it. We've had bad experiences with other places - either he sits in a crate by himself all day and barely gets a potty break, or he gets to be crazy with other dogs but obviously isn't well supervised because he comes home limping. The best part about Barktown is that they have a twitter feed and post pictures of playtime! I can see my dog is having a good time while I'm at work, and I know he's being well watched. It's a little expensive, but it's worth it to me to know and be able to see that he's being taken care of and happy. The staff is super friendly too, and there was no cancelation fee when it turned out I didn't need daycare for one day.
