He was so reactive that I was constantly scanning ahead for other dogs and trying to avoid situations before he noticed them. I never felt like I could relax or actually enjoy taking him anywhere. On top of that he would be over the top with my nieces and nephews. There were a few times where I heavily considered rehoming him because he would jump on them, grab their hair like a chew toy, and just be too much which could have accidentally turned ugly. He had been to other trainers before, but the positive only training was not working and clearly wasn't a good fit for my boy. Now he not only listens better, but I finally understand how to handle him. We can pass things that would have completely set him off before, and I know what to do when he starts getting worked up. He's able to completely relax around the kids and any company that comes over. And he absolutely loves his muzzle and ecollar! Seeing him become calmer and more confident has been incredible. I also really appreciated that we were given time about using a muzzle and ecollar. At first I was a little apprehensive about them, but Olivia took the time to really explain how they work and made sure I was comfortable with it before using them. They were treated like exactly what they are: tools that allow us to safely give him more experiences while we continue working on his behavior. He now gets to live like every other dog and enjoy normal dog things like walks, parks, pup cups, and more while keeping everyone safe and happy. We still have things to work on, but it genuinely feels like I have a different dog and, more importantly, I feel confident handling him now. I'm so grateful for how much progress we've made and all of the work Olivia has put into us! I cannot recommend her enough!!

Both dogs are beautiful, incredibly healthy, and have been amazing additions to our family. And I really can't say enough good things about Famn Damily. I've been there twice now. With my family. In both cases we drove 240 miles to get there, just because we realized what a special place it is, and because we knew we didn't want to get our puppies from any place else. You set foot on the farm, and you see dogs that are truly living their best lives. They have so much space to run and play, they are so well cared for, and so loved, and so clearly happy!! And healthy. And the facilities that have been constructed for the dogs, that clearly took a great deal of time, money and effort to build, are very impressive. Melodie Hammond runs the farm. And she's amazing. I know that my future dogs will be golden retrievers, simply because I know I only want to get puppies from Melodie, from Famn Damily, and Golden retrievers are what she breeds. Oscar has been my only family, traveling with me for the past 5 years and I care for him very much. As so, it is very hard for me to leave him in the hands of others and NEVER over night. I started using the day care because of my work schedule and also because of how happy he was when I would pick him up. He quickly learned the word "day care" and really looked forward to seeing Jen and the other dogs. I became so comfortable because of his obvious enjoyment that this was the first day care I ever allowed my dog to be stay over night! When I relocated for work I wish I could have brought Jen and the day care with me!
