I chose Dog Training Now based on the outstanding reviews and to be honest, was a little skeptical of the very high rating. Reviewers wrote that after only a week, their dogs were transformed into obedient companions. Really? Yes REALLY Dog Training Now is not a training factory with dozens of trainers. It is a locally owned boutique sized facility run by Mary, a seasoned dog whisperer who trains every dog herself. We booked the 10 day boarding package and while we waited for our Bernedoodle puppy to reach the proper age for training, I was able to email Mary and ask for advice with everything from dog equipment to behavioral issues. I tease Mary about practicing some type of dog witchcraft because she was solving our pup problems via email. Whatever she said to do worked! Amazing. Due to Covid-19, we struggled to socialize our 2 year old Aussiedoodle. She is very smart, already knew off and would go to her crate on her own but she lacked in areas around leash walking/ barking at other dogs and had us pretty well trained. After sending her to Mary for a 2 week board and train, Willow LOVES to show off going to and staying on her "place", no longer jumps up as often, and has her own version of "down" (which demands belly rubs but that's fair). While she still is protective around other dogs, she no longer barks on walks, will sit and wait for them to pass, and will warm up to a dog to play with after about 30 minutes on her leash inside and with commands for "place" happening. All around we are thrilled with her progress and keep it up daily. We definitely plan to send her back for a few 1 day "refreshers" to keep socializing her. Thank you SO SO much Mary! read more

Mary was amazing! We have a 6 month old puppy who is 65 pounds and nothing but power. After he pulled us down the street and jumped on my mother knocking her over it was clear it was a safety hazard and reached out to her. She was quick to respond and we did the 2 week board and stay program. After just 1 week he came back a new dog. I was stunned that she could get so much done so quickly. He loose leash walks now and sits immediately when I stop without asking. No more counter surfing either! You can tell she loves these dogs and what she does. Very happy. In one word .....Amazing we worked only with Nick one of the co-owner of the company he is amazing !!!! We have two sweet little puppies that needed to get trained before the baby gets here so we were referred to nick by a woman in our apartment complex and we are super happy we did!!! Mary is an outstanding trainer and so attentive to our two golden doodles. It has helped us with every aspect of being a dog owner.
