They charged me an extra $20 because I got there at 9:30am, My wife made the appointment, and as pickup was going to be 4PM I do not understand the fuss. I picked up the dog and said it all worked out, I just will not tip the $20 I did on the last cut. They told my wife they did not like my attitude, so when she went to book them they would not take him. Which is fine by me $80 cut with no tip was enough. Life is difficult enough without dealing with people with a nasty attitude. So if you are coming here, make sure you know what time your appointment is, and do not be late, or withhold the tip when they give you attitude. Response to the response: I was there at 9;30, that is not almost 10, lets be accurate. If drop off is 9am why was pickup at 4pm??? Get real, as to my health issues, maybe you should understand first I thought the appointment was 9:30, I did not make the appointment, second when I make a mistake going to my hospital appointment I am usually on time, but am never given a hard time if I am late. How this has anything to do with a dog grooming I have no clue. Your response tells me to NEVER use your service again. Third your response is a pile of dog ????. You really think you are this important?? I posted the review for 2 reasons, 1. to let people know, be on time, or expect to be treated like you completely destroyed your perfectly timed day and should put up with a self important attitude. Get real, your a dog groomer, not a brain surgeon. we LOVE dog wash cafe! when i moved into the metro atlanta area, i have such a hard time finding trustworthy people that specialize in dogs with severe ptsd. whenever we bring walker we are always pleased with his results. he never comes home with any nicks or cuts. he also doesn't act aggressive towards my husband and myself either! he is extremely happy when we come to get him and once we get home. he perks up and we think him getting his haircut gives him some confidence! This is by far the best place to take your dog to be groomed! Veronica is always so friendly and attentive. The place is ALWAYS busy and my dog looks AWESOME AND CLEAN when I pick him up. I switch from a big pet store that literally did whatever they wanted with to my dog's fur instead of following directions, to this family owned business and will never be back to that old place. I give them 5 star for excellent work, friendly customer service and fair price. I have also used their "Do it yourself" option and they give you several clean towels, shampoo etc. So when they are really busy I just take him for a bath, avoid the mess in my house and save a lot!! I am OVER THE MOON with the service and professionalism of the employees here. Amelia is absolutely the best groomer my Coco has had in the 8 years I have been having her groomed. I made an appointment recently that I had to change due to a work commitment and arrived on the wrong day for the grooming. Beth and her crew were absolutely amazing. I presented them with in an enormous challenge - My Cavapoo had unknowingly become really matted around his neck and underside and needed extensive work. They kept him all day and worked on him to minimize the amount of shaving necessary. He Looked incredible when I got him. They really worked a miracle on not having to shave him completely. They were so friendly and Were able to get him an appointment within a few days. I will definitely be going back and taking both of my dogs there from now on. read more

We moved to the area recently and needed to find a new groomer for our mini goldendoodle Humphrey, so after soliciting recommendations on Nextdoor we ended up trying out Dog Wash Cafe. I can't say enough positive things about our experience! Doug did a fantastic job and gave Humphrey the perfect doodle cut! I love that they let the dogs hang out when they're done rather than having them stuck in kennels all afternoon (granted they have kennels as an option if your pup wants to just relax alone), and it's also nice that you can check appointment availability and book your services online. I love how the staff treats my dogs. I have a 70 pound golden doodle who hates to get his nails drummeled. We bring him in every two weeks and they get him in and out. I take my dogs here often to get a bath and get their nails trimmed. They are great and my dogs are sooo happy to go there. They get excited when we pull up. The staff have always been great to us and extremely accomodating. If you tell them you need your dog in a couple of hours they will gladly have your dog ready. This shop is conveniently located on Crabapple Rd in the charming city of Milton, GA. Only 10-15 mins from Roswell/Hwy92. The owner is very experienced and my Shelly (poodle) looks absolutely adorable!! This was my 1st visit and Gerri, the owner helped ease my seperation anxiety by taking her as a 2-1/2hr. appt. My Shelly had horrible matts with loads of curly hair and had to be shaved. I almost didn't recognize her. She's a very classy pooch now and looks way better than she ever has. Gerri left enough hair in just the right places to bring out the character of a thoroughbred. I have finally found a groomer who cares and works hard to please me and especially my precious baby! read more

Odd. If I had to sum up this place in one word, that'd be it. I stopped in on a weekday for a self wash of my dog and to have nails clipped. When I walked in, a lady was standing and eating in the lobby area. No hello. Then I see woman behind the desk. She didn't look up from the computer so I had to say hello first, and what I was there for. Took her a bit to set us up on a wash bay. I asked about having nails done and she said yes, they'd do it. Then she brought watered down dog shampoo and face wash and some badly pilled, dirty looking towels and helped lift my dog into the bath. Then she immediately said she'd be stepping out to walk dogs. What?? I asked, who is going to do my dog's nails? She said I'm only going to be gone a few minutes and then I will, or you can ask one of the groomers in back if you need anything. Talk about self service. We completed the bath and I was ready for nails. No sign of lady. I called to the back and a very nice groomer came up and clipped my dog's nails, but it was strange. Why would you leave a customer when they're going to be there 20-25 minutes tops and they're requesting assistance with a service they can't do themselves? What if we needed another towel, had trouble with the water, etc? She finally came back and as I stood there with my dog whining to leave I had to ask her to get off the phone so we could check out. Complete chaos! I took my dog to Dog Wash Cafe because That Dirty Dog was full. I came in to wash my dog myself and stood in the waiting area for 10 min until someone asked me if I needed help. I should have left at that point. I was taken to a bathtub, which was dirty and the lady washed it just using water. Apparently, not only do dogs get washed here, but they was their own dishes and forks as well to be cleaned. After I was finished washing my dog. I started blow drying her. For some reason it kept cutting off. I finally gave up and left with my dog wet. As I was checking out the blonde lady had the nerve to ask me if I wanted to leave a tip. Gerri, the groomer took her time to explain to me just the right cut for Maggie as I don't often have time to brush her out and I did not want to get her shaved. I was hesitant to take my dog into get groomed after reading a couple of horrible reviews on this place. I had called this place b/c it was so close to my house. The lady who helped me on the phone was extremely professional and addressed all of my concerns. That evening I read the reviews about injuring dogs and became petrified. I decided to go on the fact that the place seemed professional, knowledgeable and caring and the fact that some reviews were positive. I knew I would be taking a risk. I arrived the next day and was greeted by the owner. They even helped me out of the car b/c my dog is 100 lbs and I had my 3 year old in tow. My dog has been know to be aggressive towards the vet and technicians and I therefore have never had my dog groomed. However, I was sooo sick of the hair I couldn't stand it anymore. I spent 30 minutes with the owner, groomer, and tech while Wilson was being washed. The reassured me with my concerns and answered all of my questions. They helped me make the decision between just getting him furminated vs. completely shaved-neither which he has ever had done. They called me 1/2 way through the process to tell me he was doing great. I was thinking they had the wrong dog. I picked him up an hour later and was so impressed. He looked wonderful. they had done everything I asked and I think the price was very reasonable.I look forward to going back and would highly recommend this place. read more
