Stacey's training worked fine in that case but I decided to try something new. She responded unprofessionally. Here service is expensive but enticing because she offers to train the dog with no work on your part. The second time, we adopted a puppy. After a week he started biting. Stacey assured us that she could help. So we kept the dog for a year, spending thousands of dollars with Stacey. Then our dog walker refused to walk our dog anymore because he was too dangerous which means we, a family with two young children definitely should not keep him. Stacey responded very badly. She was defensive and tried to get us to pay her more money to retrain the dog and was really rude about it. I regret using her. Without her bad advice the dog would have been sent back within a week saving all parties (especially the dog) a bad experience. I highly recommend you stay away.

I have only had one evaluation so far so I'll be back for a follow-up…read more I have a rescued pit-mix who has some issues so I called WWW for an evaluation, thinking I'd take her to the Growl Class, a special class for naughty dogs. Stacy and an assistant met with me and my dog Cola for 90 minutes, watching her with other dogs and asking very detailed questions. I was impressed with her methodical attention to detail and seemingly no-bullsh*t manner. She asked me what my goals were and told me what Cola and I would need to do to reach those goals. She said Cola could probably do a regular obedience class even though she has some leash aggression, which was good to hear. But Stacy assured me she was being honest and not just telling me what I wanted to hear. On the downside, she doesn't come to Brooklyn so it's kind of a treck but we loved the 2 plus hour walk home over the bridge! Also it's QUITE pricey for an evaluation but so far I think it's worth it.

I have two rescues Now and a community cat etc. But I began perusing high kill rescue sites etc... then North Shore Animal League, then went to Hempstead Shelter... So during this time a memory keeps hitting me hard.. of a GORGEOUS quiet huge German Shepherd that I saw when looking with a friend for him and his elder dad. The dog was perfect but way too strong for his elder dad.. So we had to pass him by.. I had three huskies home and could not add another. So in my heart his image flashes into my mind for 15 years whenever I think of the North Hempstead Animal Shelter. And yesterday and today he was on my mind again. Where did he go. With who. Must be long gone now. Sadly. If only I could have gotten him to a Shepherd knowledgeable friend.. but he had a cat back then. If If If. If only again over him.. So what was so surreal.. Sigh. All of a sudden the Microsoft Edge browser starts showing Animial shelter links. And up comes an image for Yelps review of the Hempstead Animal Shelter. With.... the photo I took soooo many years ago of him.. And there was his face. Just when he kept popping up in my mind yesterday and today.. The universe paid me a visit. Sometimes we connect big when we don't even connect. Life is completely amazing... but now I wonder where he went even more. With who.. Any chance he was only 1 and living to 17 and has another year out there? Would have loved to have somehow been able to have him around back then and now. He is so soulful. Either way... this was just completely surreal how that image showed up in links on the edge browser. Somehow we all need to tune into to all the lonely souls needing rescue and find who would be a good fit. Do what we can IF we can.

The owner came out flailing her arms and questioning what I was doing there and why I'm parked there. I was literally there for 4 minutes. I was so taken aback by her abrasive behavior and audacity that I obviously did not bring my dog there after all. Maybe consider not staring into people's cars when they pull up and interrogating them if you actually want their business. I definitely wouldn't leave my pet with someone so high strung!
