Came here on a whim since I was in the area! There are so many unique options here. I wanted to try either a hot dog or burger. The cool thing is that their buns are house made! I ended up getting the papi chulo super doggo between that and the Sonora doggo. The main difference between that and the Sonora doggo, as it was explained is that this one is a little spicier, which I was looking for. The bun itself was a little crumbly than I would have liked, but still soft. There was A LOT of sauce as explained, which I guess should have been a warning for me (I'm not a big huge sauce person). It was almost a little overwhelming in terms of amount of sauce and covering the other flavors, but it was good. Very messy, of course. I also shared the elote cup, which also had a lot of sauce, but I liked how much tajin there was. Prices were reasonable. Service was very friendly! They have an outdoor covered seating area. There is hand sanitizer nearby, but I did not see a bathroom around. This was an unexpected find, and in a very out-of-the-way spot in Woodland, California. This is not an area that I travel to with any frequency, but when I found myself here, it was the perfect opportunity to check out Doggeros, a place that I heard about eons ago, and now I had my opportunity! What made this even better, is that one of my best friends was with me,, and we were both ready for a new food experience. I had been told that the birria tacos are a must, and must we did. We ordered birria tacos, a hotdog wrapped in bacon with cheese, the elote in a cup, and two drinks. ( a jarritos & a horchata) The hotdog by itself was tasty. The bun, cheese, and bacon, not so much. The horchata was watered down, and not great. The jarritos is always a tasty bottles. The elote in a cup. It's ok. The cheese was piled on top, and outside of needing to be mixed together, it wasn't very good. The birria tacos... we didn't order the consume, and frankly, the tacos on their own were pretty tasty. Filled with perfectly seasoned meat, slightly crispy taco shell, and a smattering of cheese. More cheese please on the next tacos! Outdoor seating is first come, first serve. It's loaded up with smoked bacon, mozzarella, chorizo, grilled onion, mayo and avocado sauces. It's like a street cart dog that has been loaded to the max. This is exactly what I want in a hot dog . Oh my goodness. I got the Chori Doggo, which has chorizo, onions, tomatoes, chipotle mayo, avocado sauce, and mozzarella cheese. The toppings definitely made for something so uniquely yummy, but the base itself is what made me SO HAPPY. The dog is so warm and meaty and juicy. The BUN!! MY FAVORITE! We had driven into town specifically to try a place that may very well be the oldest continuously operated Chinese Restaurant in the United States. Unfortunately, they were closed. LOL. Came with a little container of onions and cilantro and another of hot sauce that was too hot for us. 1 Consomme - 5 - The perfect dipping sauce for the tacos. We only ate one on the road and I ate the rest the next day. Super yummy. 1 Elote in a Cup - 4 - I think we prefer our corn on the cob. It was good but just not quite there. Service was excellent. There's not much seating , but I did see people sitting in the parking lot while eating . Lots of high school kids . We ordered the cheeseburger quesadilla and fries to share. Our food was ready right away and everything was hot . The quesadilla was heavier than I expected and the fries tasted like they were dusted with tajin . I was pleasantly surprised when I stopped in for lunch a Doggeros. I ordered the La Classico Burger and fries for $10.75 and thought I'd be getting a small burger and small order of fries. It was really sizeable and had a nice fluffy bun and fresh crisp produce. The fries were big thick crispy steak fries with a delicious seasoning on them. There wasn't an undercooked or overcooked fry in the batch. I can't get over how good the food was for the price. Doggeros is an unassuming little food stand on a side street in Woodland. There's plenty of partly, some outdoor seating under a shelter, and it's great for food to go. They staff prepares food quickly, and serves it with a smile. I love doggeros! The first time that I went I tried the birria tacos with consume and they were SO good! This last time that I went, I got the Carne Asada Doggo and my dad got the Papi Chulo Doggo and both were very tasty! The papi chulo Doggo is fully loaded with meat and sauces, it has a nice spice to it. The carne asada Doggo was perfectly savory, the asada was cooked perfectly. We also shared a cup of esquite which was the perfect size for two people. The esquite itself was really delicious. The service is always very kind and quick here. I used to DoorDash, and they would try to get orders out as quickly as possible so dashers could deliver the food as hot as possible (it's always hard, delivered food never tastes the same as food straight from the restaurant, but they tried!) The consome was more oily (fatty) than other spots so that took a star off but it's very savory. It was so fatty that the plastic cover of the consome got like wax when it cooled down. Yuck. I just had to stop by Doggeros on my last visit to Woodland. Literally, I was parked in the public parking and had to pass by twice to get my car. It was good that I stopped to sample their food. This simple establishment is a window service fast food place with a small covered outdoor seating area. Parking is decent with a public lot and street spaces. The menu is an eclectic blend of Mexican styled hot dogs and other street foods. They are very into the current birria trend, with several options. However, I am partial to a good Sonoran Hot Dog - aka TJ Dog or Bacon Dog. I ordered the standard Sonoran Dog to sample their offering and continue my quest of always trying the food mentioned in the restaurant's name. After a long wait, I finally received my dog. It was likely made to order given the wait. Overall, the dog was large and hit the mark. My personal preference is the more traditional turkey or pork smaller frank with a larger bacon/dog ratio. The bun was good with a nice toast. It came loaded with toppings, but I did not see beans as a topping which I find common on others. Overall, it was very delicious and would appeal to most. Other than a hidden location, Doggeros has a lot going for it. I can see this place being very popular at night with high school students. For $39.99 you get: 10 quesabirria tacos, 4 cups of consome, limes, cilantro, onion, and salsa. I asked for extra cilantro & onions and they definitely delivered, they gave me lots of small sauce cups full for me to enjoy. Each taco is pretty adequately filled with meat & cheese, and the flavor is definitely there. I've never been to Woodland so this was my first time trying this restaurant. I went on a Monday around 4pm it was not busy. It's a small cute corner restaurant with parking lot right next to it. You order at a window and there is outdoor seating in the back or to the side. It was clean and has outdoor fans. The service was fast the food was ready under 10 minutes. I got the birria ramen it was my first time trying this and it was "ok" it lacked flavor for me. The fries tasted like it had tajin on them like a hint of lime. Wow! We happened to be in Woodland on an errand, and felt like Mexican. Doggeros is in an older part of town, and driving through to get here took us past a row of Victorians. The guy at the counter, Julian, was welcoming and had excellent customer service. While there's no brick and mortar place to sit, they have an attached covered area with heating and music. The whole Feel of the place is small town charm. But the food! Oh wow again. One bite and my wife said we would definitely drive out here again just for the food.
