    Asada tacos

El Patio had a long line and I was getting a little annoyed but as soon as I took the first bite of my taco all my anger went away haha. The flour tortillas the meat was served in were soft and fluffy. The meat had a nice flavor to it without being chewy or over salted. Their salsa was spicy but still full of flavor. The grilled onions and chili that came with the tacos were a nice touch. The price for 3 asada tacos to go was $10.53 and worth every penny.

We have been going to this restaurant often over the last year for carry out orders, mainly after 6:00 pm. I've always been really happy with the whole experience. The employees at the counter are super helpful and friendly. They're very welcoming... the owner should be proud of the front of house staff. The food is usually quite delicious. We've had good luck with burritos and with soft tacos.. Sometimes the crispy tacos, wind up being a little soggy because of the sauces or juices associated with the meat served. Still this place is definitely worth a try. The portions are generous. Often while we wait for our order, we help ourselves to some free chips and salsa. I am really fond of this restaurant because it seems like the crew that works there cares about what they're doing.

The food is consistently good, which is why we keep coming back, but the customer service has gone downhill. Today I waited six minutes in the drive-thru as the only car in line, and no one responded when I spoke into the microphone, even though employees were clearly inside. When someone finally answered, there was no apology for the wait. She simply asked if I was ready to order, which set the tone for the whole interaction. After placing my order, I asked for some chips and was immediately told I would be charged extra. While I understand policies, this was a missed opportunity to create goodwill with a customer who had already been inconvenienced by the delay. Unfortunately, this is not the first time we have experienced poor service here. The employees make you feel like they are doing you a favor for taking your order, whether inside or at the drive-thru. This used to be a place known for both great food and friendly service, but I can no longer say that.

Have any of you have been checking your food before you eat from there?

Your question is not clear. Are you asking if people are checking their order before eating the food? We've been eating there for years and the quality and taste has been good. The price is reasonable for what they serve especially on burritos…

It's a nice little place, not too many tables or booths, plus it also has counter space, as well as a few outdoor tables. Pictures, signs, and knickknacks adorn the walls. The menu is decent sized. I decided to go with the "kitchen sink omelette." ham, bacon, sausage, mushrooms, onions, tomatoes, it even had green bell pepper. Normally, I don't care for green bell pepper, but everything in the omelette was chopped up really fine, and so it didn't bother me. I asked for fruit instead of potatoes, and she told me all they had was canned peaches. I like canned peaches, so, That was OK with me. I also asked for coffee, but they said they didn't have any anymore because they were closing soon. They were open for another 45 minutes, they were still taking in customers, including people arriving after me , yet they decided to stop serving coffee? OK...... The omelette was pretty good. They were generous with the fillings, and everything played well with each other. The one thing I didn't care about the omelette was the fact that it was made with American cheese. I love American cheese on a burger, but in an omelette, it just doesn't do it for me. To me, in an omelette, American cheese, kind of overtakes the flavor of everything, including the delicate flavor of the eggs. It was OK, I should've asked what type of cheese they used. Overall, the meal was good, and the price was reasonable. I would stop by again. Thanks.

These hash browns are nice and crispy on the top and soft and potatoey underneath. These hash browns are on the thicker side, but I thoroughly enjoyed them. The rest of the food experience at Black Bear was also good. The eggs were cooked correctly to my order of medium well and the portions here are more generous than other diners in the area. If you're a fan of thicker cut bacon, Black Bear is the place for you. I'm more of a thin and crispy bacon guy, but if you like a girthier slice of bacon, then Black Bear has got you covered. On the sweeter end of the breakfast spectrum, the waffles and pancakes were on par with what I would expect from a diner in town. The waffle is a bit more crispy and thin than you'd expect, but the inside still had a nice softness to it. The pancakes are hearty and will fill you up. It would have been nice if they were a little fluffier and had even more chocolate chips in it (in the case of the chocolate chip pancake). The ambiance in the restaurant is pure Black Bear. There are black bears all over the place and the decor is very woody - like the diner was found in the middle of a forest somewhere. Service was adequate. Overall Black Bear Diner is a solid choice for breakfast or lunch in the town of Woodland. It's comparable to the other morning diners. If coming for dinner, you'll have to go with another review!

We came on the Monday during Thanksgiving week. There were cute stuffed bears and merchandise decorating where you wait. And the interior was quite cute decorated all around. However the wait for our food, especially with a toddler after his first airplane ride, I would not recommend. I also do think it's because they didn't have another kitchen staff cooking, but definitely was the most miserable waiting experience I've ever had. Our waitress tried her best in getting some fruit out for our hungry toddler, however meltdowns happened and he was not able to sit still until the food came. And I think we were there for about 1-2 hours until our food came. My burger tasted good due to also being hungry as we weren't able to grab a bite to eat before our flight. However it was evident everyone was hungry and trying to not be super irritated. Would not come again if we're all hungry, especially as toddlers cannot wait.
