We took our pug here for the first time today. I am so glad we found this gem. We don't crate Jax so going to the groomer is so stressful for him. When I found out that they are a free roam dog groomer I thought this would be a better fit. We dropped him off a little before 10 and he was done and ready to come home by 12:30! Jax feels so soft and smells great! They are reasonable priced and so sweet! Cash only, but that's perfectly fine with me! My boy is looking cute and loved his spa day! Great price great service. Terrie always trys to get my dog in even when its last minute. She is very friendly and nice and her staff is too. The only bad thing i could say is that she has an open play area for the dogs while they wait to get cut or picked up and my dog gets totally overwhelmed by all other dogs. She hates going but when its all over she looks beautiful and eventully her happiness returns after i comfort her. Great price, great cuts and amazing service. read more

CAUION!!! THEY LOST A DOG! Would you want your dog wondering all by themselves to end up 10 MILES AWAY when you left them at a boarding facility? They not only lost a dog they were boarding but NO ONE KNEW THEY LOST HER! Its almost 7pm, the sun is going down, when I see this little dog running up and down the street with no one around. She is terrified, does not where to run or what to do. After several attempts to try and catch her I was finally able to bait her in with some food, Poor little thing was starving. The scared, fearful little dog scarfed down some food as I called the number on her collar. I was shocked to find out the owner had left her dog for boarding at Doggie Dos by Terri I work in the veterinary field in several different animal hospital and could not believe this. How could a facility lose a pet in the first place than not even tell the owners?? The owner of the dog was going to try and get a hold of someone from Doggie Dos to see what they could do especially because her other dog was also boarding there also. 4 hours later at 11pm the Owner was finally able to get ahold of Teri who is the owner of Doggie Dos which was going to send someone to pick up the dog from me. What I was told by Teri ( the Owner of Doggie dos) was that she has 14 dogs herself so has her niece take some dogs home to watch. Her niece went out for the night and had no clue they were missing dogs. Teri had a nonchalant attitude and acted as if it wasn't a big deal. She was going to see if she could find someone to [ick p the dog. NOT ONCE WAS I EVER THANKED BY TERI FOR FINDING A DOG THEY LOST! She was asking me questions about the dog, what time I found her, what her condition was like,and what I told the owner? but never once seemed concerned. I live In an area where there are a few canyons and a lot of coyotes. You hear them howling every night as they capture another pray. After reading this I will leave you with a few questions to ask yourself before leaving your pets here: What if I did not stop and pick up the dog? When were they going to realize they were missing a dog, after the Coyotes found her first?? ( I live next to the canyons where there area lot of coyotes in the area) When was Doggie Dos planning on telling the owners? when they went to pick her up? Oh, by the way.... Did we forget to tell you, we lost your dog! Now is this the type of place you want to leave your dog when you go on vacation? read more

I used this groomer because she was recommended by a friend. Both times I took my baby his nails were not trimmed and ear hair was not plucked. Because of breed he needs to have this done. To make things worse he ended up with ear infections in both ears. He was nicked on his back legs on last visit and no one bothered to notify me of it. Per Vet the groomer did not clean ears, anal glands and he had gotten water in his ears. Very dissapointed and I paid for full package both times. To make matters worse my friend who referred me tells me that when she took her Dog a few weeks back another dog latched himself on her dog and by the time anyone noticed they were stuck. My friends dog is not fixed because she was going to mate her with a Maltese same as her before spaying her. How can one provide a pet sitting service if there are so many dogs loose and no one is watching them. My friend did not get an apology or anything from owner. All she did was ask if she was fixed and told her another dog got her. As a professional I would have expected the owner to not charge her for the haircut due to what happen but of course that didnt happen. So dissapointed!! I would never recommend this groomer and wished I could have done 1/2 star or minus stars. Be aware that if there are too many dogs unsupervised something can happen read more

This was my first time there and as soon as i walked in I knew i was NOT going to come back, the place is super small and all the dogs are let loose running all over the room where the groomers are working, if something was to happen to my dog or any other clients dog while being in a room with all dogs while all the workers are busy and not paying attention im sure they would be furious. Why let your freshly cut dog loose around other dogs who aren't clean. I was disgusted with the place, i asked them if my dog could be done by a certain time because i had to be out of San Diego by 5, he wasnt done till almost closing and he was there from 10am to almost 6pm. We have been going to Doggie Do's for about 2.5 years now, since it opened. The owner Terri is great. She loves my two stinky Golden Retrievers like her own! After reading all the great reviews and seeing 5 stars I decided to take my 6 month Bichon for her FIRST grooming (not just a bath). I didn't want her in a kennel all day so this seemed ideal. I should not have left her. When I walked in I was entirely overwhelmed by the number of dogs, all going crazy and barking (as expected). But there were FAR more than I expected. Additionally, if you read some other negative reviews, there IS fur/hair all over the floor which is a little unsanitary to me. I told them I wanted her face very short, feet as well, and her body cut longer as she has (had) a beautiful silky coat. Perhaps I was not specific enough but it was my first time and I thought I was clear. The girl wrote 5/8 - I had no idea what that meant. I did not recognize my pup upon picking her up. Her face and legs were nicely trimmed but her body was as short as her legs and her face/head longer. She essentially had a buzz cut. I was so upset (almost in tears) I simply paid, said thank you, and brought her home where my family expressed my exact sentiments - WHAT HAPPENED? Additionally, my mom and I need to trim up a few areas ourselves because they are uneven. Needless to say, we will not be returning for two reasons: overwhelming and a bit dirty and then the opposite grooming of what I requested. I will work on my communication next time I take her somewhere, but I'm praying her beautiful coat comes back and quickly! read more

Terri is absolutely incredible. This place is the best place I have ever taken my dogs and cat to. The prices are exceptionally reasonable and the work is very professional. I just picked up my Yorkies from here and they smell so good and look so cute. ^..^ Since it is almost Christmas Terri gave both of my dogs the cutest wooden carriers one painted as a snowman and the other as a reindeer full of doggie treats for them. She also gave me a gift as well. Not only do they do grooming here they also have a doggie daycare. I highly recommend Doggie Dos to everyone. I will never go anywhere else. read more

I have been taking Newman, my Jack Russell to Terri at Doggie Do's off and on for the past 2 years. I generally drop him off in the morning and he stays and plays all day and is all clean and groomed when I return after work. He loves playing with all the other pooches and just loves Terri and her staff. As soon as he gets in the car, he curls up and sleeps for the rest of the night. He plays hard all day and has a blast. The place is clean, and you can tell Terri and her staff love what they do. I love that grooming turns into fun for my little guy, and not a day in a cage. Thanks so much Terri! read more

BIG kudos to this place- She groomed my pup for an unbelievable price. When I got back my dog was actually walking around and happy for the first time ever when I've come back from her getting a wash. On top of it Terri gave me a lot of details on how my dog behaved and told me if I ever want to go to the gym during each week for a few hours she'll have Bam in her daycare for just a couple hours for again, an incredibly low price- if you use please tip her 100% on top of her services- she is way undercharging her great work! I love doggie do's!!! Terri is the best. Rocco my Yorkie has been going there since he was a pup. I keep his hair short with yorkie ears and a teddybear face. Terri knows and does EXACTLY that. I just took my three labs to Doogie Dos for the first time today. After searching for a new groomer for the last year (and I have tried several) I am convinced that Terri is the one. My dogs have never been kennled - other then at the groomer - and it pretty much freaks them out. From the moment we arrived Terri and her staff were overwhelmingly welcoming. They did a great job and the dogs so enjoyed making new friends. Terri gives them treats and pottie breaks (way more then most groomers) and she is very accommodating to their specific needs. In my opinion the price is more then fair...especially for big dogs. I will be going back to Doogie Dos with my furry kids in the near future! read more

I love this place!! My little morkie is a rescue and can be nervous and skittish around new people and dogs. I was a typical nervous mom when I left him. He LOVED it! He was all happy and tail a waggin when I picked him up. He is so small I love giving him his bath but I take him to the shop every so often so they can bathe him just cuz he so enjoys going to Terri's and hanging out with the other doggies. You can really tell these people enjoy dogs and genuinely care about your little treasures. I just wish they had les pooch shampoos but not enough to take away a star! read more

I took my pup here for a shampoo last month. While the price was great, the atmosphere was noisy and chaotic. Lots of dogs were sharing a small fenced-off area and barking their heads off. My little guy is skittish and he was totally freaked out. The gal who shampooed him was very nice but the rest of the staff seemed stressed out. I would be too if I had to work in all that noise and chaos! read more

We take both of Portuguese Water Dogs to Teri. Even with all the brushing we do at home, they are a nightmare to groom. Teri and her staff always spend the extra time and make the special effort to get them to look "show ready" even though they're just going to come home and get filthy again. My only complaint is that it can be hard to get appointments on the weekend if you don't plan in advance, but that is more our fault than Teri's :). read more

I was in desperate need of a nail clipping for my dog Ramon. I've never taken him to a groomer. I called here, they said they were booked but I could come in if its just to cut his nails. I got there, saw a bunch of dogs just hanging out waiting their turn for a bath. Everything in plain view. The groomer took Ramon just for a couple minutes, he came back with short nails and no stress. She said he did fine (she could obviously tell my apprehension.) I asked how much and they said no charge... what? Well, this was a great service to me, they have no idea; I couldn't clip my dogs nails because I am missing my best friend that has helped me the last 5 years. I am so greatful, I left $20 on the counter in gratitude and left. I will be back for sure. read more

I'm new in town and needed a place ASAP to get my small dogs nails cut. It was an emergency because one of his nails was growing in close to his paw pad (I know, bad mom on my part!!) and, beung that it was an emergencyTerri took him right in on the spot!! She helped me out so much. I was so nervous about his paw. Ever other place I checked out was either closed on mondays or didn't open till later in the morning and I had to get to work. Terri and all of her staff are absolutely wonderful. I work at a dog shelter, and we often rescue extremely neglected dogs who have unbelievably tangled, matted coats. She and her staff welcome them with open, patient, caring, and understanding arms. When I come to pick them up I am often in shock at the transformations.
