What a shame. We LOVED this place. The staff was incredible and the groomer (Amber) was without a doubt, the best groomer we ever encountered in LA. We've spent 10's of thousands on boarding, daycare and grooming over the years on our 2 Basset Hounds. Most of it at Wag Hotel in Santa Monica. Coming to Puparazzi was an upgrade in caring and attentive staff. Puparazzi closed with no notice at all (email sent on final day). Not sure what happened, but wish them all, all the best. Would LOVE to find out if/where Amber moved on to. Our Penny-Mae absolutely loved Amber. Nearly pulled the leash out of our hand trying to get in to her room each time. ***WARNING: This place starved our dog twice and lied to cover it up.*** We've spent over $4,300 at Puparazzi since 2022. It used to be well-run under the previous manager, Kirsten, but the quality of care has completely collapsed under the new management. In May 2025, our dog was returned to us with almost all of her food untouched. Initially they tried to give every excuse trying to explain the discrepancy. However after thousands in vet bills, the manager (Nan) eventually admitted she was likely fed the wrong food or not fed at all. We received a refund and were promised better oversight personally from Nan. In September 2025, despite our experience in May, during my wife's medical emergency, we boarded her for one night. She was returned to us yet again with her food untouched. Staff told us she had been fed, but after more health issues, the manager later confirmed on camera that she had not been fed at all. [Email w/ the admission in screenshot] This isn't a one-time mistake. It's clear neglect followed by dishonesty. No responsible pet owner should ever trust this facility again. Complaints have been filed with local authorities for violation of California Health and Safety Code §122383(d). read more

If you care about your pet's health and safety AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COSTS. My dogs were physically attacked by one of their employees (see photo). There is a full video of my dog cowering with his ears back because he is terrified of her as she aims right for him and uses all her force to pin down a scared 30-pound dog. The hiring and employment of individuals who display such aggressive, dangerous and criminal behavior is extremely negligent on the part of the owners of Puparazzi. The owner's even admitted fault in the attached letter (see second photo) and after agreeing to issue me a full refund of outstanding packages, decided to renege and only sent a partial refund. After staying at Puparrazi (the only place they ever interact with other dogs), my dogs fell ill last year. As a responsible and ethical dog owner, I immediately notified the managers in writing and quarantined my dogs for two months. The managers did not inform any of the other pet parents, and even hid this from some employees who were shocked to hear the news after I informed them when we returned two months later. Puparazzi continued to lie and send out emails to all of its patrons that there were no known cases of the respiratory disease or any illnesses at the facility. It is extremely negligent to put all other dogs' health and safety at risk by lying to patrons who continue to put their trust in your organization and bring their dogs to your facility. Many dogs in LA have died from this disease and if their owners had known of possible exposure they could have saved them. This place puts profits above dogs health and safety. Lastly, the staff is poorly trained and has no idea how to appropriately deal with dogs often having fights breakout (my dogs have come up home with bloody cuts many times) and have their staff baiting dogs for pictures (a very dangerous practice for anyone who knows anything about dogs). They have tried to offer me free stays and I continue to decline because it is not a safe place for anyones dogs. I incurred thousands of dollars in vet bills and emergency hospitalizations due to the unprofessional, unsafe, dangerous and negligent actions of Puparazzi. If you care about your pet's safety, avoid at all costs. read more

I will not be taking my dog back here. Every time we'd go on the live feed to check on our pup, he was getting repeatedly humped by two other dogs. We totally understand this behavior is bound to happen at a daycare, but it was VERY excessive, and the handler in the room with the dogs would do nothing to stop it. My fiance and I both called the daycare multiple times to express our concerns, and when I finally was able to get ahold of them on the phone (after calling 4 times) whoever I spoke to giggled and brushed me off like it was no big deal. When I came to pick up my dog later that day, the receptionist blamed it on my dog's scent and said he must have been groomed recently (which he hadn't). Overall, we are disappointed in the experience we had and will not be coming back. read more

My dog loved it here! Compared to other places, from my experience Puparazzi's dog temperment assessment was the most extensive. They closely monitored my dog for two hours. Before taking my pup there, I had to fill out pages of paperwork and provide my dogs full medical history. It might seem tedious, however, I appreciate the efficiency. Additionally, What I love most is their online portal. The portal includes 24/7 webcam for you to keep a close eye on your baby no matter where you are! It also includes all the receipts and information from your previous or future stays. I had used Puparazzi for daycare on a few occasions, and my dog was always excited to go in which I took to mean he enjoyed the place. I recently took a trip to Europe and boarded him here for a week. When he was picked up, to my dismay, I was handed a full bottle of medication which I was previously assured would be administered to him during his stay. When dropping him off, I provided clear instructions for the medication, instructions were also on the pill bottle. I asked the individual I left my dog with if they wanted to make note of how frequently he needed the medication to which the individual said they would remember and "don't worry". My dog also came back with fleas... the fleas I can deal with, but negligence in administering medication is incomprehensible and completely unacceptable. I can not trust this place nor would I recommend it to anyone given the experience I had. read more

Yikes - I spoke to the owner Sophia on the phone and she is refusing to give me a refund for the credits I have on file. At first, she said she would only give me a refund if I took down my negative review. I told her this was unethical and I was happy to slightly amend it but I would want to know if there was a giardia issue there. She even admitted on the phone that the staff confirmed my poor puppy has eaten a lot of poop there because the staff doesn't always see and clean it in time. Since then, silence. So I called her. She refuses to give me a refund. She claims every single dog has gotten tested for giardia but refused to send me evidence (I know this is false - it's impossible to test all of their customers' dogs in the few days between. Store employee confirmed they don't have all dogs' negative giardia tests on file because they don't require it. I attached evidence of her reaching out to offer a refund. She's been very careful to only say the shady things over the phone where I can't screenshot. They really don't care about your dog -- they care deeply about profits. read more

I took my dog in for an evaluation test (needed before boarding). It was his first time Ever being in a daycare & I let it be known to the staff. I do agree with the report card that was given to me because I did watch the whole time . Can you blame me? I was nervous! & I saw that my pup was there with his tail between his legs and he was very frightened. Which I believe was normal given the fact again it was his first time ever staying someplace else. The reason for my bad review is because I am sure that the staff could've done so much more to keep all dogs, not just mine, busy & happy. All I saw the staff do was stand and stare at the pets or sat & do nothing. Besides holding the walls up. It seem like everything the dogs did would bother them. If the dog was standing on the wall they would ask it to get down. If the dog was laying down & they didn't want it to, they would ask him/her to move. They even removed the bed . The pups seemed bored and miserable . My dog was afraid & I wished the staff would've attempted to comfort him. I'm a dog sitter myself. I've cared for small dogs as well as big dogs. So I know what it takes to keep dogs happy. It honestly doesn't take much. I know there are plenty of dogs for this one girl to watch. But I know for a fact there were other staff around and they could've simply just call the dogs by their name to pet them. Talk to them. Again, I'm a dog sitter & I needed another sitter for my own dog this time. & I didn't like what I saw & am not comfortable leaving my dog here nor would I recommend this place. But that's not the point , I'm trying to get a message across & that is that the staff should be excited to go to work . You work with dogs , come on ! You get paid to play & have fun. The location seems nice, I like how clean it looks. I was going to go with this place because I like the fact that they have cameras and I can have access to them . Bella and I LOVE puparazzi LA! This is our first doggy daycare and it has been great for us. Bella has been going weekly during the pandemic. This was a great way to socialize my GSD during a crazy year. I love that I get a report card, pictures and they have live webcams to watch Bellas during daycare and at night in her suite. Every time I have a concern or request, the staff is very easy to get a hold of, I can text, call or email and I know I will get my questions answered. Wow! Such a wonderful experience. We had to board our dogs unexpectedly, and I researched all the local boarding facilities in Los Angeles. When I found Puparazzi, I knew I had found the best place in town. I was correct, my three 80 lb babies were very well taken care of. I had just adopted my dog, a young pup about a year and two months old. I was recovering from the loss of my sweet 14 year old furr baby girl who had just died. I can't, nor believe it's important to go into details about that. The point is that I was very emotional when I was trying to get a good daycare situation set up for my new pup. The staff, in particular Kirsten, was so kind and reassuring. I was clumsy getting through the paperwork. But Kirsten was so patient and kind. Now, I bring my sweet "Ladybug" there several times a week and she loves it. I pick her up on my way home from work, and she is always happy and relaxed. The staff are all so kind and loving to her. The staff are very helpful and responsive to any questions you may have and they clearly love the dogs. We love being able to watch her snooze and play through the webcams they have set up. I'm really torn about Puparazzi. I would give 3.5 stars if I could. There's a lot that I like. Booking is easy and they almost always have availability. The webcams are probably the biggest perk. I like that we get pictures and a report card as well. That being said, we've taken our dog here a handful of times and over time I've seen some things that concern me. First off, the dogs are just in a room all day. There's no toys, barely any beds, and little interaction. Watching the webcams, it's really a mixed bag with the attendants. Some seem engaged, but others just seem like they don't want to be there and just ignore the dogs. Also, my dog always comes home with his feet and legs covered in urine. On their website it states that they go out to the yard every couple hours, but I've never seen the dogs leave the room that they're held it. The only time I've noticed my dog not in the room is when I pay extra for walks, so I worry about him just sitting in a room unstimulated for hours on end. The lack of attention from the attendants and general lack of stimulation is probably the biggest issue for me. Maybe there's a reason behind some of the things they do (or don't do), so I try not to judge too harshly, but those are just things I've noticed. read more

I've tried all the daycare & boarding places in west LA & I've decided Puparazzi is, hands down, the best. I absolutely love the report card, pictures, & live video. I also love how it doesn't smell like dog urine when you walk in. The staff is so friendly & sweet to my pups, and I see them constantly cleaning the dog water bowls & taking other steps to ensure the safety for the dogs. It's very scary to board your dogs when a respiratory illness is going around, but I'm confident that they are taking all precautions, so I highly recommend for daycare & boarding. read more

The suite and play area are set up with a camera so you can watch your dog. It has been so helpful as we miss our dog so much! Our dog has anxiety problem and unfortunately snapped at the pet staff. They are so understanding and hopefully my dog will be able to adjust to the new environment soon. The feedback from the report cards are so helpful so we know what we need to work on next time with our dog. They send pictures of our dog and report card each day. My husband and I are very impressed and grateful to this business. They watched our high energy puppy vizsla for 5 days without charging any fee. They honored their offer for free daycare/overnight care for healthcare workers during the covid-19 period. The environment was very clean, new , and stylish while the employees were very professional, sweet, and kind. During her stay, we were able to watch live videos of our puppy in her room as well as in the playground playing with the other dogs. We also received daily report cards that included photos of our puppy as well as funny and clever comments that constantly entertained us and made us feel a bit better leaving our puppy without us.
