It was a blessing to take her and our second GSP, Harper to their place. My dogs LOVED LDR. They were able to run, hike, and play in the pond. I was fortunate to have such a great place to take my dogs. Piper lived to be 16 and up until the last weeks of her life, she still went to Lucky dog. Harper passed away sooner (GSP rescue) but absolutely adored Jeff and Susan. Jeff and Susan, the owners are fantastic people and always treated my dogs with the best care and attention. They even let us lay Piper and Harper to have their final resting place at Lucky Dog. I highly recommend this place. They not only have great daycare but the cage free boarding is a refreshing change from having to board dogs at a facility where they only get to stretch their legs a few times a day. You will not be disappointed taking your dog here!

I asked if she would be ok if I took her when I got off work. She said yes. Just before I got off, she called again and said her breathing was labored and needs to see a vet immediately. I got her to the vet and he said she may not make it through the night. Two weeks later and nearly 3K dollars later we took her home. In the yard a few days later, my husband got the water hose and our dog freaked out! She ran away from the hose and ran straight toward me. She didn't do well around the hose or loud noises like music. I know Paula has an airconditioned area where they kennel and I wonder if they wet my dog and then put her in an airconditioned kennel. When dropping her off for the first time, the man in the back yard, had a water hose with an adjustable sprayer in his hand. I wonder if they shoot the dogs with water when they want them to do something. Glad we took her out.

Upon pickup Paula showed us all of the tricks that she taught our dog and some of them weren't working while she showed us which was fine because we only cared about the potty training for the most part. We took her home and after a few days we realized she's just not potty trained at all. We took her back to be trained for an extra week and a half free of charge. The potty training seemed much better after that but definitely not perfect. Our end result was that we had a dog who was halfway potty trained (pooping inside) and that she could walk on a leash. She could also sit and stay on command. I'm not sure how she got along with the other dogs there but she had a huge fear of big dogs afterwards and we're still working to get her passed that. If you do go to get your dog trained, she offers cheaper boarding for you and first dibs on boarding. So basically she gives you the VIP treatment.

I live in Celina so it's quite a ways for me to drive to Denton but our regular vet had quoted us $1k-$1.2k for a dental cleaning for my 12 yr old cat. They said he had some tartar build up on his back molars and a bit of gingivitis in his gums and it will get worse if we don't get a cleaning done. Our pet insurance does not cover dental cleanings so it would be out of pocket. I was recommended Guardian pet Hospital from a cat rescue group on Facebook. When I called the receptionist was very friendly and quoted me $300. A phenomenal price considering what our vet was charging us. My cat went to get a pre screening done and everything was good to go! He got his cleaning done shortly after, appointment times weren't an issue and he did so well under anesthesia. The staff is very helpful and very kind and the price came out being even a little less than what they originally quoted me! I highly recommend coming here not just for the reasonable prices but also for the great experience and friendly staff. I am highly considering transferring all our pets to Guardian pet hospital even if it's a longer drive for us!

As my dog is diabetic (and has been for 2 years now), her feeding and insulin routine is of the utmost important to regulate her system. First, I was told they would accommodate her feeding/insulin schedule when I initially called, which is on a rolling 12-hour basis. However, when I was dropping her off, they then decided to tell me that they could not actually accommodate the times and it would be about a 8 hour cycle between feedings/insulin with a 16 hour gap. This destroys her medical routine, and leads to huge degradations in her energy and health. Then, the onsite staff were very rude to me about how to treat her. I have been following a 2 year routine now with my vet, but the staff told me their on-site vet knew better and they tried to change the medicine for her. What?!?! Finally, I included hand-crafted bags with measured food for each of my dog's meals. But after I picked her up, I noticed that they did not feed my dog during one of the meals as I had one of my bags returned to me!?! This means they completely skipped feeding her one morning/night which is first, entirely unacceptable, and second, extremely detrimental to her health and survival!! When I called and asked about it, and after being on hold for 20 minutes, I was given every excuse in the book (maybe we fed her food we have here (breaks her vet's prescription), or maybe you are delusional and you gave us too much food (it's not that hard to count 10 bags for 10 meals), "but yes we definitely fed her". Absolutely ridiculous, again, avoid these people at all costs!!

At least once a week, we take him there to see his friends and scoop him up to return home for some much needed nap time. The holidays are great too because the team takes pics that you can pay for as keepsakes! The staff are all friendly and welcoming! Socialization is very important to help build confidence, mental stimulation at all ages! Yes, it's a splurge but we love giving him some extra avenues to play with dogs of all sizes! She did exactly what I asked her to do for the week - walk them every morning for a mile and come home and put them in their kennels for the day. One of my girls snuck out the front door as soon as she opened it one morning and she ran away. Nikki didn't skip a beat to go after her and make sure she was safe at home before going on with her day. I felt totally at peace with Nikki watching my dogs for the week while I was out of town. My daughter was home but since she has twin two year old boys, she is totally unable to walk my dogs twice a day. Nikki was great and I will call her again next time! Thanks Nikki!
