The problem I've found with a lot of groomers is they are booked 6+ weeks out. Unfortunately, when I need to book a groom it's most likely b/c I've spilled queso or some other drippy snack in my dog's head hair and I need a groomer today, not 6 weeks from now. Woof in Boots was able to get me in the same week I called. When I dropped her off I spoke with the groomer and explained my dog's new anxiety contributed to her recent diagnoses of Cushing's Disease. My dog is now a nervous nelly when I bring her to the groomers. I felt very comfortable leaving my dog here. The groomer assured me she would stop immediately if it got to be too much for my old lady. My dog was done in less than 2 hours (I've bene places where they've kept her for 5+ hours). When I picked her up she was free roaming in the secure doggy area. She had her tongue hanging out and seemed happy. I loved that she was cage-free after her groom since she has PTSD from all her surgeries (and being caged). I will definitely be back for all my grooming needs - and most likely day care as well!

The Sunday I went there was lots of parking in front and along the side streets. The facility itself seemed to need some attention & upkeep - the front glass window was cracked & the inside lobby looked a bit disorganized. In addition, customers are not allowed to tour the facility. As with most boarding places, all dogs need to have an evaluation before a reservation can be made. At this facility dogs have daycare with boarding. There is no charge for the evaluation. I made my evaluation time for drop off at 10am & pick up at 2pm on a Sunday. Thank goodness I received a reminder text the morning of because the text also said the lobby is closed from 10-4pm on Sundays. No one mentioned this when I made the appointment. I would have been very disappointed had I gotten there & it was closed. I did call & they asked if I could be there a little early & someone would be in the lobby for pickup at 2pm. I was not happy at pickup when I discovered poop all over one side, by the ear & neck on one of my dogs. The employee was surprised & apologetic, he took her in the back & gave her a bath. The employee was very friendly & personable. At Woof & Boots he said they try to be accommodating & flexible. For example, if some dogs like people more (than dogs) they allow them to hang out with the staff in the lobby, which is gated. They also offer the Bordetella Vaccine for $35 & provide a First Day Report Card with picture of your dog(s).

I had hoped to come back to Beauty Bark to give it another try after our current amazing groomer…read moredecided to discontinue his mobile side of the business. Prior to last March, our dog was returned to us with a bleeding tail (at the base), some issues being able to walk (crying) after the appointment for a couple days following due to standing for long periods of time, and some uneven cuts (pictured above) which I amounted to the new management just getting their feet wet and installed into this business. We had such amazing experiences prior to these incidents, we wanted to keep giving them a chance to improve. Once our dog was there for close to 8 hours, we sought out another groomer (which was the last time we were there). I called in last week and requested an appointment and was hung up on. I tried calling back and no answer. Fast forward to today, I tried to schedule something and learned we've been black listed due to "notes from upper management." According to the manager on duty that answered the call, we had numerous incidents of "rushing the groomer" which was really shocking. In the times we'd brought our dog in, we used to receive updates from the groomer if it was going to be longer than a few hours (four hours max). In the last few times, we never received updates so I would call in to check and see when our dog would be done. It was always difficult to plan around due to my work schedule and wanting to pick him up as there's a charge to keep him there past a certain amount of time. The last time he was there for, I want to say, eight hours (maybe 9:15-close) with no calls or anything. I called in a couple time that day and was a bit upset (no yelling or anything-- I'm no Karen... Sorry to any Karens reading this) simply due to not being given an opportunity to come in and give our dog more meds for his legs (in the past the groomers said he was standing for a really long time so that's why he was hurting the following days). According to the manager on duty today, "there were numerous well documented incidents that happened," although he wouldn't mention what they were. All in all, the turnover here has always been rough and while there may be sole great groomers here from time to time, it's probably best to look elsewhere. The male manager that's typically there is quite rude and super testy. Just overall disappointed as this place was so so great when we first moved to Denver a few years ago. Wish I didn't have to write this as we always try to support local businesses not criticize them.

She is truly exceptional,…read morekind, professional, incredibly skilled, and one of the most attentive and thoughtful groomers I've ever met. Our dogs are not exactly easy clients: Ruthie is a 130lb Newfoundland with a dense, high-maintenance undercoat that tangles easily, and Ghost is a 120lb Great Pyrenees who lives outdoors, is constantly digging, and proudly shows up to every appointment covered in the evidence of his latest patrol. And yet, Jen always greets them with kindness, patience, and a smile. She somehow always manages to send them home looking (and smelling!) absolutely wonderful. Jen is incredibly gentle-especially with our elderly Great Pyrenees-never rushes, and takes the time to do the job right. If that means taking extra time, adjusting the grooming plan, or giving them a break when they need it, she does it without hesitation. She always does what is best to ensure our dogs' needs are covered until their next groom, including excellent hygiene cuts for Ghost and removing uncomfortable tangles for Ruthie. She clearly loves what she does and wants what is best for our dogs. Her love shows in the way she treats each dog like her own. I trust her completely and feel so lucky to have found someone who not only handles the size and quirks of our dogs, but truly understands them. Heavenly Dog lives up to its name thanks to Jen. Now I bring my 2 new puppy mill rescues to her, a Yorkie/Maltese mix and a Cavapoo. My Cavapoo is frightened of everything and Julie takes her time with her to help her feel more comfortable. My Morkie is a little sassy and Julie does such a good job with her as well. They always look fabulous! One of the most important things to me when I originally started with Julie, is that she grooms one dog at a time so your dog isn't sitting around in a cage for hours waiting their turn.
