We strongly DO NOT recommend Pine Shadows due to the violence we witnessed towards our dogs when we…read moretoured their facility in August 2024 with our child. I have filed a police report, a complaint with the MN Board of Animal Health, and a complaint with the Humane Investigations team with the Animal Humane Society. The Pine Shadows lead trainer violently punched both of our dogs in the head during 2 separate incidents during our tour. He also choked one of our dogs by using the leash to pull one of our dog's feet off the ground. The lead trainer told us we needed to use the "wooden spoon" approach with our dogs and not "love and logic." As a 5'4" female I can keep our dogs under control using positive strategies when they are jumping and barking with excitement. There was absolutely no reason for the Pine Shadows lead trainer to use violence and one of our dogs was violently punched in the head by the lead trainer when the dog was walking over to sniff our other dog. If you have had similar experiences at Pine Shadows, I strongly recommend that you also file a police report and complaint to the agencies listed above.

Everyone was friendly, the service took exactly as long as promised, the groomer was SO kind and understanding and really took the time to go over a game plan for the haircut with me and afterwards at home my puppy was so happy and playful and looked better than I was ever expecting! It was a GREAT experience and we are definitely life long customers now!
