Happened to be in town and needed some dog tags, stopped in and was promptly aided by a very nice team member. While waiting for the tags I noted an INCREIBLE sale on fish tanks, so I started asking some questions and getting some answers. This prompted me to shop even more which caused me to spend a hundred bucks more than I intended too and I was happy about that, seriously NO complaints. The staff were super friendly, helpful and informative. the store was busy but clean and organized. I like it, I will return. read more

This review is for the grooming salon, although I've no complaints about the store itself. Looking at the previous reviews almost scared me off, but the few that were there were either old, or have nothing to do with the salon. I'm glad I gave their services a chance. We have two dogs, both were a bit challenging for the groomer due to some matting and the little one not being too keen on getting groomed. I was prepared that we might get them back looking like shorn sheep, but they were returned looking adorable. I randomly chose one groomer and have continued with her, but noticed happy customers and cute results, no matter which groomer was returning their dog to them. Perhaps the thing I appreciate most, is they all seem to love the dogs and put their well-being first. Safety protocols are paramount and the dog's comfort, a close second. I've seen them return a dog with a cute cut, but with an explanation that something was not done, because the process was just too stressful for the pup. The owner appeared pleased not only with the candor, but also with the results. Here's a tip for better success. If you have a dog with any kind of challenge, please do your dog and everyone else a favor, by not taking it to the "happy hour" to save a mere $5.00. From what I've seen, they have to move them through quickly, so it just isn't a great situation. Also, if you know your dog is particularly challenging, you can pay a bit extra to avoid your dog ever going into a kennel. Let the staff know this is your preference when you make your reservation. From what I understand, the little extra fee blocks off a time when your groomer can focus solely on your pup, from drop off to pick up. One other thing to keep in mind, is that the most of the groomers are in a training program, probably in different stages in learning. From what I can tell, they seem to work well together and really care about their work. No matter how long or short of time they have been there, they all seem very strict about safety protocols. I actually feel more comfortable with Baxter PetSmart groomers, than I did with a local well-known "premium" salon. read more

8/31/23 At checkout, I commented to the cashier it sounded like they were dealing with bad allergies (lots of coughing, sneezing, and wheezing). The reply was, "I'm sick and feel terrible". I asked why are you working, I was also told, "They [management] would not let me go home". I watched 7 customers check out with this person as I waited to talk to a manager about their policy of refusing a sick employee from going home and having that person working where they will expose many customers. The result of that dialog changed nothing, the employee still had to stay and keep the till ringing. Absolutely Brilliant! PetSmart appears to have little regard for the health and well-being of employees and customers. read more

The other day, I had the worst time getting my VERY timid 60 pound dog out of my car into Petsmart (we adopted him and he's had past trauma). Anyways, as I was struggling to get him out, an employee named Sami was walking by and saw my struggle. She went above and beyond to help my dog Maxwell feel comfortable enough to go into Petsmart. I was so relieved to have help!! She even waited in the grooming salon with me until it was Maxwells turn, taking care of my other dog Piper. I left that day feeling so grateful for Sami, I can't believe someone would go so out of there way make sure Maxwell and I both had a pleasant experience. I also want to acknowledge the 2 girls that always take such wonderful care of my pups! Cassie and Katrina from the grooming salon treat my two dogs like their own. Cassie is so great at making my very timid dog Maxwell feel comfortable, he can't stop giving her kisses when we arrive! And Katrina has a way of dealing with my very sassy, diva of a dog Piper. She works VERY HARD with Pipers attitudes to make sure her nails get cut. These girls are absolutely wonderful!! read more

One of the groomers at PetSmart wanted to report my dog as a biter. This was after she injured my dog's leg and I was later forced to take my dog to the Vet for Treatment. It is so convenient to take my dog there that I decided to try again but I would insist on using the only groomer that liked my dog. My dog had made it clear which groomer she liked. So then I get an email changing the groomer. I called and they had fired the groomer that my dog liked. To be honest, the other groomers hate dogs and I think they got rid of her because people were requesting her because they knew she was kind and compassionate to your pet. I talked to the store manager and he didn't care and basically said she deserved to be fired. I am guessing they made up some stories to fire her because they didn't want they competition with someone decent that liked you pet. Don't go there until they clean house. read more

I've been to a few PetSmart's and this is the worst. Seriously only one check out on a Saturday. Many have walked out. We would if Mom didn't need something for her dog. read more
