We were very excited to try this place, and we were very dissappointed. Ordered delivery through the awesome Eat24 app. Delivery confirmed for 45-60 min. 1 hr 20 min later, still no sign of them. We tried calling several times to get a status update, the Eat24 customer service also tried calling and no one was picking. Finally at the 1hr 35 mark we are starving and decided to cancel our order through Eat24. Just as we get a rep, there's a knock on the door. We tell the guy it's over double the wait time, and he simply responds with, "traffico" and walks away. We live less than a half mile from the location, literally out of my window is the main thoroughfare for downtown with not a single car on the road. The food: cold. We had to microwave to be able to eat and even then it was super greasy, heavy, and soggy. I had ordered a hot dog with chili, bf had a burger, we shared some plain ol fries. 3.5 stars. At D-Dog House, packaging is everything! The ambience is festive; the service is friendly; but the food could be better. When you walk-in, it is sensory overload. The tables are trendy, the fluorescent backsplash at the bar is hypnotizing, and you order everything through iPad. The whole menu is listed on the iPad, so you can just browse, click, order, and also leave details before checkout on how you want to order your food. After ordering, you can play a game on the iPad or take pictures of you and your date. You can play the classic game Bejeweled, a fun game of iPad Air Hockey, or do a word search puzzle. However, please note that due to the way the iPads are stationed, you cannot leave them completely flat on a low level. The iPads can lay flat, but they are a little bit way too high for sitting level. In regards to the service, the staff is welcoming, asks if it is your first time here to ensure sure your first visit is a success, and will come ask questions if they have are unsure about your order. They also make your meal any way you want. For my first visit here, my friend and I ordered two Blue Moons, fries, a Columbian-styled hot dog, and a turkey burger (not sure about their exact names on the menu). The Blue Moons came in cold mugs with a slice of orange to garnish. They were the right temperature and were very refreshing. The fries were crisp, and our waiter gave us the dipping sauces that come on their Columbian hot dogs (at our request). It was good, but the fries were a little bit too heavy for my taste. If you are looking to eat healthy, the turkey burger may seem like a good option at first, but it is quite heavy also. The turkey burger is juicy, but the bread here is a bit tough and not as soft as you may like it. I have had better buns. The hot dog is all right, but again, the bread is not the best. I will probably come here again because this is the ideal place to go if you want to enjoy a few drinks with friends. I dropped into the D-Dog House to try out this new restaurant. First of all, you order your food on an iPad that is in every booth. I put in my order for a Columbian Sausage Dog and an order of Fries. There was a photo of the Columbian Sausage, but when the order came it didn't look anything like the picture. It had a layer of Cole Slaw on in (yikes, I don't like Cole Slaw). It wasn't a Sausage, it tasted more like a hot dog. The Fries were large and just okay. The iPad wasn't equipped yet to take credit cards, so the server give me the check the old fashion way. In the end, the price wasn't much different than the other nearby Brickell Restaurants. The server made a big deal of the iPad, I could use it to surf the Internet and play with the Apps. Man, where to start with this place. First, I'll say this is one of the very few restaurants in Miami that has surprised me by completely blowing away my initial expectations. I stopped in here with a buddy of mine and wasn't even hungry. But he kept telling me that I had to try a burger, a hot dog, and the fries. I wasn't excited to become a fat slob or to have a heart attack that day, but he was buying and INSISTING. He ordered me this BBQ Bacon Burger and a Colombian hot dog. The burger looked amazing. Pretty big but right away I knew they used high quality ingredients. I'm normally a Fuddruckers guy and if you love their burgers, you know why. I took a bite of this burger in front of me and I was like, "WTF!" Juicy beef, crispy applewood smoked bacon, the BBQ sauce was tangy and had a chipotle flavor. The balance of textures and flavors was perfect... this blew away Fuddruckers. I would pay double for a burger like that. Remember, I wasn't even hungry... I reluctantly took a bite of the hot dog. It had lots of crispy fresh toppings like little peppers, pickles, cheese, and this red sauce and of course little potato chips. I love Colombian hot dogs but then something put this one over the top. I started to wonder if he laced this dog with Marijuana or something to make me keep eating it but I ended up gobbling the whole thing. The owner came by and mocked me because I told him earlier I wasn't hungry... and then he told me the secret ingredient... there was BACON wrapped around the hot dog for F*#K's sake. Just when I'm thinking I might need a quadruple bypass after leaving, I notice these fries sitting there. And the owner Shawn says, "if you don't want to eat those, I'll eat 'em." So I thought, "well, maybe just one won't kill me." "Shut the front door!" These fries were insane. For sure they must have fried them in crack cocaine or something. The only comparison I can make to french fries are the ones at Five Guys that come in the big paper bag but are just sick they are so yummy. Well, Dog House blew Five Guys away. For one thing, they were a little thicker, crispier, and tasted like real potatoes. They didn't have that texture where the potato seems to have been replaced with grease. No, it was almost like taking an Idaho potato and frying it. Like a fried baked potato if that's even possible. Delicious! To top it all off, they make awesome drinks. I ordered a mojito and thought it wouldn't be all that great... nope... one of the best I've had actually. So good I went to order another and watched how the bartender made it so I could copy it. And these tables are lit up like a dance floor and are equipped with iPads. The menu was varied with all delicious-looking food. My group shared chili cheese fries, I had a Venezuelan dog, and everyone else had a Colombian dog. EVERYONE was happy with their order. The iPad was great entertainment as we played a group game of Hangman. The lack of a perfect rating is due to the service. I'll credit it to a crazy Saturday night, but it took a good 15 minutes for our check to arrive and 10 minutes after that before we were able to sign our credit card receipts and leave. We had a Mexican hot dog and a columbian one and they both came out cold. Buns were not even warm. Hot dogs were small and tasteless. First thing was our wrap ordered was made horrible it was all lettuce and no chicken inside of it that we couldn't even eat it. In life, I've encountered few burgers that met my eating standard. By that I mean that I'd choose that burger over steak and lobster any day. I get invited to this place by some friends and by sure luck also get recommended a burger; the "gordita". By far the best burger I've had in Miami. As I'm writing this I wish I could have one now. When I first saw pictures of this place I thought "Oh man this place looks pretty cool. "iPads you can order from, A cool theme and the hot dogs look delicious". The theme I gotta admit still seemed decent when I got there but the place being dead really kills the vibe. The iPads were kinda disappointing too because at the time you couldn't order from it and the menu was kinda clunky. I could look past all that if the hot dog I ordered was amazing but in the end it felt like they just threw a bunch of topping on a tiny hot dog. It just felt sloppy and the lack of hot dog was disappointing. The hot dog fries were just as disappointing. There was just no real taste to them and once again the hot dogs they use are small. If I return I'll have to get a sausage or something else I suppose. Giving five stars for how much sass my waiter, Jean Pierre, took and didn't get mad at me. My friend and I were pretty drunk, coming back from the bars and stopped here for food. So this place has a whole bunch of booths and its got a dark, retro interior. They have these cool electronic screens where you can order your own food. Being the unsophisticated lot we were, we didn't understand how to use them so the waiter graciously helped us and put in our order for us. We ended up ordering their loaded fries, which was a delicious and terrible idea. My friend also ordered a cranberry vodka at a bar for goodness sakes and they didn't sass her for that, which I would have. They have a Yelp discount if you check in as well, so don't forget to do that. Music's loud, but it's a good place for a late night snack. Props to being open really late too. read more

We came in on a late Sunday night during "spring break" time- the bartender Shaun was great, so nice and and really set the vibe for us. We snacked on the loaded fries that were really good. The food here takes me back to my to my home town in Medellin. The tequeńos and guava marmalade is another favorite along with the Gordita burger. Came here with a livingsocial on a Wednesday evening and it was pretty dead, however, the server was friendly and they were very accommodating. Outside seating isn't great, but the food was well priced and above average. I had the black and blue burger (blue cheese and bacon) which was very good (though slightly heavy on the blue cheese). My gf is vegetarian but was happy with the only vegetarian option (veggie burger), and unfortunately the burgers don't come with sides/fries so you'll have to pay extra for that (fries are worth the money as they were freshly made and delicious). That being said, the food (fries/burgers) were all above average and priced about like you'd expect. Without a groupon/livingsocial I would have probably downgraded to 3 stars, but if you're using one its probably a ~4.5 star experience. read more

This is the perfect last minute stop before heading home after a night out in the bars of Brickell. My new favorite obsession is the Mexican Dog...I love guacamole and I love hotdogs, so obviously I double love this hotdog. The staff is super friendly and I met the guy who owns it and he's the man.
