I sent my dachshund to Tony 2 years ago and forgot to write a review. He has an issue with reactive biting and Tony assured me he could fix it even though he has no experience with dog psychology or biting. Absolutely abusive training tactics and they're ineffective anyway. Never send your dog to him especially small dogs. Mine came back traumatized with wounds on his nose and snout (I think from smashing his face against the inside of his crate at night, I'm not sure). I utilized Tony's services, specifically the board and train (1 week), in 2020 for my pomeranian. My main issues at the time was that my dog would not go #2 outside which I wanted addressed. With Tony, this was definitely addressed along with a few other things such as staying in place and following commands. However, with a board and train, I only received about 3 videos per day (~15-20 minutes total). I regrettably did not review the videos in detail as I was so concentrated on the results. There was A LOT of yanking. For a big dog, it may not be so much an issue. With a pomeranian, you can literally yank their necks and even lift with a leash (which I saw on some occasions). My dog eventually developed trachea problems which is so unfortunate. I was new to dog ownership but as I reviewed the videos now, I cannot say I agree with Tony's training methods. Please be careful with smaller dogs if you decide to use his services as it seems Tony doesn't seem to treat big or small dogs any differently in terms of training method (yanking a big dog vs a small dog). read more

Originally, I had signed up for Petco, only to request a refunds after they felt the dogs was not a good fit. After weeks of looking for a behavioral dog trainer, I decided to go with Dogmaster. Tony, the dog trainer was responsive with questions I had about my dogs. I needed to correct my 10 years old lab-pitbull mix aggressive behavior towards other dogs, and for her to accept my new 10 months old German shepherd puppy. In addition to behavioral training, I also asked for basic manners to be taught as well for both dogs and potty training for the new puppy. Tony said it would required at least 4 weeks. I signed up both dogs. Payment was half upfront, and half at finished. Each day I get a video of what the dogs was trained on, except on Sunday :) After 4 weeks, can't say I wasn't pleased. The dogs was cool together in the back yard, and around the house. However, our senior is not interested in playing with our new puppy, but It is not a big deal for me, I just wanted them to acknowledge each other. Several weeks after the dogs returned home, I was having some trouble getting the dogs to follow the previously taught commands. Tony was super nice enough to swing by the house to couch me on how to reinforce the dogs training. The experience with Dogmaster was wonderful. I 100% recommended the company and Tony! read more

NEVER send your dog to this trainer!! He does not care about the well being and health of your pet! He 100% ABUSED our dog while in his care. This was our worst nightmare and we would never want anyone else to send their animal who they love here in the hopes of helping with any behavioral issue or training need. We sent our one and half year old Great Dane mix to board and train with Tony. He came back emaciated and with sores all over his elbows and legs. We received videos while he was in Tony's care but they were from a far distance for the first week he was in training with him. Mid way through we finally saw a video of him closer up and immediately noticed his weight loss (our dog is normally just under 100 lbs he had lost over 10 lbs and noticed sores even in the video). We immediately asked Tony to see our dog in person after receiving the video and went to his house the same evening (10pm) to see him after insisting. Seeing him in person our fears were confirmed with Tony stating these changes were due to Bambino being "in heat." We took him home with us and to the vet the next day who told us he had been in an unsanitary living conditions and was not being fed at the levels his body needed and that he was not being treated humanely. We had to have Bambino on antibiotics for he wasn't having solid stool and for his sores. He still has scars from the sores on his legs to this day (over a year later). Tony took no accountability and refused to apologize or refund us our money. HE SHOULD NOT BE ALLOWED TO TRAIN ANYONES DOG. Please do not send your dog to him! read more

Hired this guy last Monday seemed like a good dog trainer but as I watched his videos it seemed like he was pulling my dog a little excessive he came back home with this huge scabbed cut on his neck said that his skin was sensitive but I didn't see any other dogs with this on there neck don't recommend he also started pooping a lot of watery blood after I got him back and he started saying it's not his fault and to call the cops on him. Thank you Thumbtack for finding us Dogmaster Training with Tony Sit in Carona. At 6 mos. our English Bulldog puppy was starting to backtrack on training and I thought training with a professional was called for. I was impressed with the reviews and reached out to Tony. Needless to say, Tony arrived on a Sunday for a pick-up of our Dame Judi in Hollywood and spent 45 minutes with Judi evaluating her needs and reassuring me how he would train my pup. My puppy took a liking to Tony immediately and Judi was off to summer camp for 4 weeks. Judi returned home a "better" and more obedient puppy refreshed from training camp. Tony sends a morning set of dog photos on Instagram of the 6-7 dogs he trains at a time so it's nice to see our dog at play. In the late afternoon we receive the daily training video on Tony's YouTube channel and we get to watch daily progress with a back to basics, sit, down, stay, loose leash walking, placement, and the like. Tony also does boarding at a very reasonable rate and we have him schedule for a dog pick up the day we leave town and a return on the day after knowing we'll be watching our Judi on Instagram and an occasional training video. Tony has a large facility where he walks dogs indoors in a field house and outdoors at the parks to teach obedience with distractions. If I can give zero stars I would!! This guy abused our dog Chico!! He came back malnourished and had cuts on paws and neck from being pulled excessively with a prong collar that as a trainer he should know how to use but didn't!! Our dog came back pooping blood and the vet stated he was stressed!! When asked to pay for vet bill and money back he said he would only pay half the vet bill and not refund us!! Tony has done a super great job working for a month with Winston, my 6 month old puppy, who can be a little stubborn and aggressive when he does not get his way. My wife and I decided to get a puppy. We looked for a trainer and found Tony. I had dogs growing up but hadn't had one in almost 15 years. After two weeks of training our puppy after having Tony come to help train us/him it was well worth it. Tony is an excellent trainer he boarded my Doberman sheperd for 4 weeks. My husband and I took him in after being rejected by other people he lived in the streets and roamed around the streets his entire childhood Tony took him in being around 6 months maybe more. Before he would eat our stucco and pee around the house destroy our shoes eat our palm trees and uncontrollably pee everywhere. I couldn't walk him he would run out to the streets and was uncontrollable. After spending a month with Tony I couldn't even recognize who this dog was very AMAZING!!! IMPRESSIVE!!! and I couldn't be happier I can walk him now he uses the restroom on command. He stays in place as told I can play with him now without being worried he is going to run out and leave. Our 1 year old German Shepard, Negan, loved to destroy our house and pull us up and down the street during our walks. We had previously done puppy training but it didn't really stick, until Tony. When I received my 5 year old Maltese he had never been doggie door trained as he was crated up to 16 hours a day by original owner. My grand daughter was able to train him in 2 weeks for the doggie door in the day time before returning to college, Being disabled currently, I was unable to train him at night as I had done with previous pups. He was afraid to go out in the dark, when it was raining, or cold. So he started peeing and once pooped in the house, which placed me in danger. My choices were professional room and board training or give him away. Tony evaluated him and determined he "could be fixed" and took him for the 3 week boot camp. My unbelievably stubborn 8 pound pup came home calm, trained and able to meet other other dogs on walks without threatening to tear them (even the Shepherds) to pieces.
