Yasin's Dog that visited to help train on our boy's last training day!
    Shirley L.

This review is long overdue, but I couldn't let more time pass without giving Yasin the recognition he truly deserves. [[HIGHLIGHT]]We initially chose Yasin after a simple phone call to discuss our options for training our husky mix.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] At the time, we were overwhelmed and stressed every other trainer told us the same thing: start as early as possible or else. We were constantly warned about how difficult huskies are, how they're too high-energy, not eager to please, and how this breed has "ruined" people's lives. It was honestly anxiety inducing. Yasin's approach was completely different--and exactly what we needed. He calmly told us to let our dog be a puppy, to enjoy that stage with our boy, and to focus on building trust and bonding first. He explained that the behaviors we were worried about were normal and that training would come at the right time. [[HIGHLIGHT]]That very first phone call lasted 45 minutes. I learned so much, and he didn't charge us a dime. His honesty, patience, and confidence immediately stood out.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] What makes Yasin exceptional is that his training is truly tailored to both you and your dog. He takes the time to understand your lifestyle, your goals, and what you want out of training. With his extensive knowledge of breeds and behavior, he then teaches you in a way that best fits your life always with a strong foundation in obedience training. You get out of the training exactly the amount of effort you put into it. The more effort and consistency you give, the more progress you'll see. Yasin is stern but has a very effective teaching style and was exactly what I needed. We started with 1 initial session when our dog was still a small puppy, then waited until he was about 8 months old to begin a 5 session training package. [[HIGHLIGHT]]One of my favorite parts is the flexibility you schedule each session when you and your dog are ready.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] If you need more time to practice and reinforce what you've learned, you simply wait and schedule the next session when it makes sense. It's now been over a year and a half since our last session, and I still apply what Yasin taught us every single day. Because of this, we constantly receive compliments on how well-behaved our shepherd husky is he's incredible even off-leash. We can confidently take him anywhere, around anyone, and even around other animals and running prey. Yasin's training didn't just improve our dog's behavior it strengthened our bond and completely changed how I understand dog training. This has been one of the best investments of my life. It makes life easier, creates a deeper connection with your dog, and allows them to be more engaged with you and the world around them. I've referred Yasin countless times to friends, family, and colleagues, and even my neighbor recently took my advice and is absolutely loving the training. It's 100% worth it! Thank you truly Yasin!

I have two Cane corso, Baloo and Leia. A little background story, I've had them since they were 8 weeks. I was afraid that they would get parvo, so I never took them out to socialize with people and other dogs. Baloo and Leia would bark all night and day, if a person walked or car drove by in front of my home, they would react. When I took them for a walk they would drag me. When anyone was walking their dog from across the street, my corso would explode. It got to the point that my wife wanted me to get rid of Baloo and Leia (my girls). I called Empire K9, Yasin. I remember the first day. Yasin ask me to bring out one of the girls. I choose Baloo, he asked why, i told him she was the most aggressive one. After meeting both of them Yasin told me and explained that Baloo was insecure not aggressive. Yasin has helped me so much that they no longer react to cars and people walking in front of my home. I can take both of them on a walk without them reacting to their surroundings. I can have conversation with others walking the street while Baloo and Leia in a seated and down position. We are still working on them getting less reactive with other dogs but as for their obedience training they are doing great! Yasin, Empire K9 is always on time polite and straightforward. He did not only help me with their obedience training but Yasin explained what to look for in Baloo and Leia posture to help correct them to any circumstance. I look forward continuing to work with Empire K9.

When we found Yasin we had 2 golden retrievers that were fighting. The younger of the 2, Seamus, was attacking the older boy, Hudson. He was able to asses the situation and recommend a course of action. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Now, there is harmony in the home again and both boys are more disciplined.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I can't say thank you enough to Yasin. I highly recommend him for any dog behavioral issues or just basic training.

I hired Yasine to help me get my stubborn Frenchie to stop being so reactive. So far the sessions are going great! I look forward to finishing all of our sessions and coming out with a well-behaved pup.

My wife and I rescued a Pitbull that seemed to be stubborn and have reactivity issues. After calling around other trainers, some who wouldn't even work with the dog because of his reactivity, Yasin not only walked me through things over the phone but also was honest about the best way to train the dog. I thought we were going to have to send him to boarding to get the extensive training he was going to need, but Yasin schedule a consultation with us at our home first. After speaking with us and meeting our dog, Yasin thought the best course of training would be 10 in home session over boarding the dogs. I was shocked with his offer because I know boarding would've cost more, but Yasin wasn't just about trying to make extra money, he wanted what was best for the dog and us. We did our 10 in home sessions and what a world of difference it has made. Not only is Yasin helping train the dog but he is showing you how to train to continue the learned behavior. Our dog is no longer reactive towards other dogs and people. And even waiting patiently on his "place" until release. Something I never thought I could teach that dog. The dog walks along side of me and does not pull anymore. He also doesn't jump at the front door and bark excessively when their is a visitor or delivery. I highly recommend Yasin for his honesty, knowledge, and professionalism. He was always on time at the house or even 5 mins early!

We found ourselves in a frustrating predicament when we rescued our second dog (adolescent GSD male) and already had a reactive dominant female GSD/husky mix. Our boy wanted to play nonstop and our girl would escalate to attacking him and occasionally drawing blood. We met a local trainer who recommended $3500 board and train for our girl and $1500 for private lessons for our boy after meeting them on leashes at a park. We didn't feel like it was the right option and wanted a second opinion. Yasin helped train my first GSD years ago and I was able to walk him off leash with perfect manners. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Despite us being outside of his usual radius, he came to our home to evaluate their behavior in their usual environment.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Yasin gave us guidance and confidence that we could foster a positive relationship between our pups. After a few weeks of implementing changes and putting effort into home training, they can coexist peacefully inside and are able to play safely. We owe Yasin our lives and could not be more grateful!! He is incredibly knowledgeable, patient, kind and well versed in reactive dog behaviors. He stayed consistent over many years and we could not be more lucky.

We brought our golden doodle to Yasin with some behavioral issues we had noticed since we first got him. He was very mischievous with problems counter surfing, resource guarding/aggression, etc. My husband and I were about to have a baby and knew we wanted to correct these behaviors while he was still a puppy before the baby arrived and so we did the private 1:1 training. Yasin began helping us to teach him the core obedience concepts and then focused on the specific issues we were facing once our dog knew the basics of obedience. This training made a HUGE difference in our pup and after consistency, we've noticed all of these behavior issues go away and he is amazing with our baby!

After trying another training facility, my 4 month old golden-doodle puppy's, Ruby, behavior became much worse. Feeing hopeless and in tears, I called Yasin and explained our situation. He was able to scheduled an evaluation appointment within a few days. I was immediately impressed with his with his training plan. After our first lesson and practicing the commands at home, Ruby's behavior changed significantly. Yasin knowledge, training methods and insight to dog behavior is remarkable. During each lesson, he made sure I knew exactly how to practice the commands at home. Empire K9 Training has made Ruby a friendly, loving WELL trained dog!!

I just finished my evaluation with Yasin!! He is the absolute best trainer I've met and I've been to a few trainers!! I would totally recommend him to friends and family! I never thought my five-year-old German Shepherd would welcome a new puppy to our family but Yasin has given me so much hope and confidence!! I am looking forward to working with him!!

    Best of friends now.

Yasin, is the BEST dog trainer hands down!! After thousands of dollars, after my dog threw my back out twice from pulling when she would see a dog, after paying for dog fight vet bills, and after Genesis' 3rd dog trainer told me that my dog would always be agressive with dogs, I decided to call Yasin. After the FIRST session Genesis' learned how to mind her manners atound other dogs. I loved the results so much that I decided to make Yasin Genesis' dog trainer. Now I was finally able to bring my other dog home and him and Genesis are good pals. Trust me when I say CALL Yasin!

When I started, my 6 month old puppy struggles with really bad separation anxiety, anything loud terrified him and made him try to bolt away. I was feeling overwhelmed and completely discouraged that I was doing anything right with him. During our training journey had its challenges, especially correcting my bad training behaviors I was taught along time ago that weren't working. Chloe and Emily were there to guide and support me every step of the way and gave me updated tools that actually work! The one-on-one sessions and private lessons each week were beyond anything I could have imaged, so supportive and willing to spend the extra time in areas most dogs would have blazed through things, Odin needed the extra support for him to become more confident. I know now every dog moves at their own pace and you need to be patient. My training journey isn't over with Odin and glad you guys are apart of mine and Odin's journey. Can't wait until I can eventually show off Odin once he becomes a service dog and let everyone know who helped me get there. Thank you from Odin and Me! See you all later! The most we've ever had to wait is about 15 to 20 minutes. Today, was no different, walked in at 10:15a, let them know that we needed a nail trim, the associate said that the earliest they can get us in was not till 12 PM without an appointment. An appointment? I explained to them that in the five years we've been going to them for nail grinds (which is pretty frequent) we've never had to make an appointment. That's when she said that making appointment has always been in place. So, I walked out, came over to The Good Dog. The General Manager greeted us, even while working with another customer. Listening how he handled the other two customers in front of us (who appeared to be regulars) set the tone that this is a friendly place that we want to be a part of. You know, it's like "Cheers," you wanna go where everyone knows your name! Well, they were able to get us in right away. They advised we typically do not need to make an appointment for nail grind, but to simply call up to make sure they are not busy at the moment, otherwise can get in quickly. I think that's reasonable, fair enough AND smart! "Thanks, Good Dog!"

Original Review: This is the first time I've been to this location and decided to go here due to the large number of good reviews. They were able to fit my appointment in very last minute, less than 24hrs notice, super friendly staff, and lots of merchandise. Also great cut options avaliable for someone new, trying to figure out what a new groomer can do with a new client. Asked them to brush his teeth and grind his nails, to which they accomplished (at least his breath smells better). With that said, I was told they would contact me 20 minutes before he's ready for pickup, they did not. They messaged me when he was done. No big deal. When I picked him up, immediately noticed the uneven cut job. As we're driving home, noticed A BUNCH of dirt left in his coat. Makes me question if they bathed him, and if they did, they didnt do a good thorough job. Also started to notice the uneven cut throughout his body, from his stomach where they left bunches of fur, to his back, which seemed as though they used two sizes for razors. They cut him (most likely by accident) but just reinforces my suspicion that they rushed through his entire "grooming". For the $100 package, counting $15 for dental/nail grinding, I can't say I'm not disappointed. Unfortunately, will not be coming back. Sincerely disappointed :( I will have to bathe him again, give him a complete haircut, and finish areas they didnt even attempt too, such as the hair under his nose going into his mouth.
