We enjoyed bringing our dog in here. The staff was super welcoming and friendly and I love how they have so many samples of treats. Our dog is very finicky and. It has been difficult through the years to find her treats she will actually eat. Most dog owners understand the frustration of purchasing expensive treats and bringing them home to realize that your dog is not going to eat them. At Dogologie, you won't feel that frustration. We offered our dog 7 samples (which she refused) before she finally accepted the 8th treat and then we knew it was something she wanted. This was immensely helpful for us and it was something I never would have expected and don't think I would have chosen on my own. They have lots of other dog accessories on offer including clothes, leashes, toys and even decor. They will even kennel your dog for 4 hours for $40 if you want to shop or do some activities that aren't dog friendly. This shop is a great resource for dog owners. read more

What can I say, anything that promotes taking care of your furry companion is an instant hit in my eyes, and Dogologie (Dog-ology) was no exception! They had no problem with us bringing our big baby Nina (pit mix) into the store in her stroller which is of course great. We did a quick browse and found lots of cool things for dogs, but I ended up coughing up $35 for what I now think is my new favorite hat. The hat reads "Texas and my Dog" and has an awesome design, and also has "dog is good" running down the side of the bill. Love the hat, and I also picked up some dog treats Nina ate right up. My grand dog, Ruby, just had her 3rd birthday so my son and daughter-in-law bought a couple of cupcake dog treats that Ruby and her big brother pup, Shiner could enjoy. This store is one of many on main street in Fredericksburg. They do have dog breeds listed in alphabetical order, and some note cards, towels, magnets, stickers, etc for each. My dog's breed is so hard to find stuff for. They actually had my dog's breed. The Redbone Coonhound. I way overpaid for this magnet at $10 something and $20 something for this towel. Another place that I have to go to when I visit Fredericksburg because I love my furbaby and want to bring her a treat back. I also bring clips back for her which she hates but endured for my pleasure. They have a ridiculous selection of treats including cookies, rawhides, berries, jerky, you name it and they probably have it. They have cute accessories as well including clothing, collars, evening wear, and even sports gear. It's hard to leave empty handed and I'm sure if you bring your furbaby they will want every squeaky toy in the store! This is a really neat place to take your canine friend shopping. Here you can find really unique dog collars, clothes, treats, and other miscellaneous items. They usually have samples for your dog to try out as well (my baby loved the buddy biscuits). Most of the items though, are a little bit pricey (especially if you try to compare some of the stuff to places that sell for a bit lower price, such as Wal-Mart or Petsmart). Yes, this place is more expensive, but if you really go to stores and compare prices to online competitors, you really don't know how business works. Of course Amazon and other online stores will have things cheaper. This concept relates to places like Best Buy, Walmart, etc as well. You'll always find it cheaper online. It's also cheaper to just cook your food at home compared to going to restaurants, but people don't complain about that either. This review is to showcase the store, staff, and products and less about the prices. This is a super dog-friendly store and you and your dog will definitely have a great time exploring this store. The offer a variety of different products for you and your dog. A lot of different treats along with free samples. They offer rental strollers and a place to crate your dog if you want to explore some unfriendly dog places. The staff here is great. They offered me a little brochure and even though a little outdated, told me some great placed to take my dog in Fredericksburg. This doggy boutique is full of treats, clothes, accessories and toys. For the human species they have witty shirts, dog breed socks and dog themed wine glasses. We were greeted as soon as we walked in and the pup was offered a variety of treats to test out. The store is a little pricey but has high quality grain free food/treats, cute doggy cookies and other well made goods. Nala went gaga over the 100% liver hydrated treats that she tasted so we couldn't leave without a bag. Besides selling goods Dogologie rents out dog strollers and you can also kennel your pup for a few hours while you check out the local shops. We did not use this service but did ask to see the kennel area which was very clean and they play soothing music to relax the pups. The cost is $6 an hour and owners are required to return at least every three hours for "breaks". The staff was friendly and provided advice on a few dog friendly places in the area. It is definitely a must stop for doggies and their owners. read more

Wowza! A super cool dog store for you & your pooch to shop for all the good stuff! We came with a good looking boy dachshund named Bucky. He was greeted by many fellow dig lovers & stayed a couple hours while we went to eat at a local restaurant. He stayed in a roomy kennel with fresh water, so it was perfect for a short stay and the fee was reasonable. Once we did our shopping including a super cool cowboy hat we headed for the door. Bucky wore his new hat out the door & it was almost like the paparazzi showed up! We had people actually stopping and not only petting Bucky but also asking to take a photo of him! This caught us a bit off guard as we made our way down Main Street he drew more & more attention! Our next stop was Luckenbach and you would have almost thought Willie Nelson had arrived! Lots of dogs there visiting but lil Texas BuckShot "Bucky" was a show stopper! People coming up taking photos of Bucky & also asking to be in photos with him! We got a big kick out of Bucky that day, he is a sweet boy & greeted all who came up to him... Now, we take lots of pics, & share them on social media to hopefully bring more smiles to others! We got one of our girls a cowboys jersey because my husband says he needs her to be there to cheer them on this fall and then we got out other girl a ball that she really really loved at one point and lost and they had it here, she of course lost it already but now I know that I can get a free replacement if I call the place! I was really excited to visit Dogologie for the first time. I'd heard such great things from so many people and this store is literally a dog heaven - they have so many unique toys and treats that you can't find at a place like Petsmart. With that said...I bought my little pooch a Happy Birthday treat and while it smelled good, it was extremely hard and Chompy wasn't too thrilled about it. He did, however, love his $15 frisbee... The NUMBER ONE reason I am giving this review two stars is because I went in on a weekday, there was maybe one other customer in the store, and there were two older women behind the counter. These ladies did not acknowledge me the ENTIRE time, not a hello, how is your day, or anything - they were too absorbed in their own conversation. When I went to check out, they continued gossiping through the entire check out with each other and they literally did not say did you find everything you needed, debit or credit, thank you so much...absolutely nothing - they spoke no words to me the entire time. I do visit this place every time I come visit, as I love dogs, have two dogs and also work in the dog business (daycare, boarding, grooming, retail). However, I've seen a lot of items that we sell in our store in Chicago for much more at Dogologie... if our prices are considered boutique prices in a big city, what makes anyone think someone in Fredericksburg is going to pay even more? Some of the stuff is reasonably prices, though - I got a brush and comb set for like $15 once, which isn't bad. I LOVE all of the cushy beds and stuff (I can't even afford cushy beds when I get them wholesale at work!) but I especially fell in love with this silly bunk bed type dog bed - my two dogs would LOVE IT. I also like that they have some quality food and treats, which gives me hope that quality dog food can make it to the smaller towns and maybe some day, dogs won't be turning into whales eating Beneful and Kibbles and Bits all day. The thing that worried me the most was the one time I went in and there was an ADORABLE Boston Terrier puppy set up in a freestanding pen with newspapers and toys and stuff all scattered about. They let customers pick her up and say hello and snuggle her, which was nice... What was not nice was the fact that she was FOR SALE. I'm sorry, is this an upscale dog boutique or a shady pet store full of puppy mill dogs? Even if the owner or one of the employees was a reputable breeder, it's still super shady to be selling your puppies in a store front. It just makes me think of backyard breeding and all sorts of terrible things... But I've only ever seen one puppy in there, so maybe it's something they decided to nip in the bud. read more
