When we arrived it was a dirty old shed with a 'makeshift' cage out of what appeared to be old lockers or something. The man was fine-initially- but the whole situation gave bad vibes. We left the dogs, big mistake. 5-10 minutes later he called us that our puppy was aggressive. While still on the call he was YELLING at our 14 month old Shih tzu. Side note: He weighs 14 lbs. He's around children and the public all day. He comes to work with us... He is not aggressive. We said we would be right back and drove right back. Upon arrival he was cutting our other dog. He was asked to stop but kept cutting. He was asked again to stop but kept ignoring my husband. Since returning home, our dog has not stopped crying and rubbing his behind. He is obviously in pain. From our interactions we believe him to be very rough with the animals. We are now contacting our vet. He was a very dismissive older man with a disgusting 'shop' and no patience for animals. He said he's semi-retired. He should probably go ahead and finish. We weren't looking for a deal, he was actually more than expensive than our regular place. We just wanted someone good with the dogs which was why we left them after initially arriving... Never again.

What a place from the beautiful, clean, modern office, to the receptionists, to the assistant to the Dr.,Genisis and especially DR. CARLOS! He took his time with us, explaining what he would have to do for Sparky, and explained that it was not our fault. It's just something that happens to older smaller dogs. Sparky needs to come back for surgery in July where he will be under anesthesia, to get a deep cleaning of his teeth and will probably have a couple teeth pulled. The entrance is in the back off Hallandale beach Blvd. It is very clean, everyone is so kind, and loving to the dogs. They do a full grooming, bath, cut, face trim, nails, and her cute little bow. She smells wonderful after. They follow the exact cut you ask and picture you show. I feel like so many places now I don't feel comfortable leaving her. She always comes back calm and there is no change in her temperament. That is something i realized effects her. She was scared of everything and would not leave my side after one grooming experience prior to finding Kenos. So now I am very selective of who I leave my dog with, who grooms her, and anything she needs. Dogs are like people, they just can not tell us what they feel.

I found her a little hard to find at first because she is a small shop behind and between the Perfume Outlet and D'Europa Furniture on the North side of Hallandale Beach Blvd. I only have four rescue cats at the moment and two have major problems. One female is the gentelest Birman you ever would want to meet, but she is very shy and has a skin condition on her back with precludes me from grooming her because she can smell the tools when I go to get them and, zoom, she is gone somewhere "in" the furniture for a day; forgetaboutit. The other is the King of the Cat People, Top Cat and The Boss in every way, but he is a Persian with the most dense coat and if I don't do him twice a day when his fur grows out then the knots are impossible for me to deal with and it takes a real pro like Connie to get him looking the way he wants to be (Persians are vain like all cats and even more so). I have bought my grooming tools from Connie and she has a full array of pet supplies to choose from. Connie's approach is very personal and after all isn't that the basis upon which we choose a groomer.

Every detail was spot on: from the even trim around his face to the neat paws and perfectly shaped tail. He looked like a show dog by the time she was done! What really impressed me was how patient and kind she was with Bleu. He can be a little unsure during grooming, but she took her time, made sure he was comfortable, and treated him with so much care. Throughout the appointment, she even sent me progress pictures, which I really appreciated--it was so reassuring to see him calm and happy during each step. Bleu came home looking and feeling amazing. I'll definitely be booking with her again!

Very bad experience on August 26 with my dog. I dropped off…read moremy dog at 9:00 a.m. and picked him up around 12:20 p.m. From the beginning I was very clear with the instructions: I asked for a short cut on the body, but told them to be very careful because in the past another groomer almost cut his testicles. When I picked him up, I noticed several issues: * The cut on his face was not done the way I asked, they ignored my instructions. * While inspecting my dog, I found a scratch between his testicles and leg, something he did not have when I dropped him off. When I asked, they told me "he came like that," which is not true. * The lady apologized, but they did not offer any solution or discount for the injury. * On top of that, they charged me $82 when I normally pay $70, without giving me a clear or transparent explanation for the price increase. I had to remembered them I always paid $70 I feel they don't follow instructions, are not careful with the dogs, and are not transparent with their prices. Unfortunately, I will not be coming back and I do not recommend this place to other pet owners looking for safe and trustworthy service.
