Best Chilli Dog I've had in a long time. He uses Beef Hot Dogs. He also has walking tacos, street corn, brats.

Had the pleasure of finally trying Garcias Hot Dog today. And it didn't disappoint! I received a…read morefork with my hot dogs and was curious why since I had only ordered hot dogs, well I quickly understood! The hot dog is served with a generous amount of ingredients. I opted for the Chili Cheese Dog w/ onions. 1 was very filling on its own! Cash is best, no extra fees! Although he does accept card but know there is a fee to use it which is absolutely fair. I appreciated the tent they set up in front of the truck to be under shade while u order and wait for your food. Definitely a nice perk for comfort on the toasty and sunny days. They have some music playing too so u dont just listen to road noise. I enjoyed my experience and very much look forward to returning to try other items. I love when small businesses are successful and supportedby the community. Thanks so much for a great experience.

It's pretty good food if you're in the neighborhood. Otherwise, it's not worth the drive…read more Garcia's is a food truck in the Family Dollar parking lot on 16th and Emerson on the east side. The staff is REALLY nice. I arrived around 5:00pm on a Saturday and there already was a line. The guy that took my order didn't speak English very well. I asked for a chili cheese dog with no onions, but they still put onions on it. Once they took my order, they had my food ready in about 10 minutes. The food was pretty good, but nothing special. There's an upcharge if you pay with a credit card.

Um... "ew" best sums up my feelings. I had the same Cuban sub as reviewed below, and I was…read moreconsiderably less impressed. First off, I was expecting something grilled, or at least with toasted bread; this was neither. The bread was *slathered* in mayo, so much so that the innards of the sandwich slid right out of the bread as soon as I picked it up. If there were less than 1/2 cup of mayo on that entire sandwich, I'd be shocked. The rest of the mayo-wich consisted of cold Swiss cheese, cold ham, maybe 3-4 pickle slices, and pulled pork. The pork itself wasn't bad, but it was so liquidy that it made the bread disintegrate. I ate half the thing with a fork (trying to avoid the clumps of mayo) before giving up, only because I didn't have time to take it back to the Gypsy truck for a refund. I get that it's a "Cuban-style" sub, so I'm not annoyed at the lack of authenticity of a real pressed Cuban sandwich. It was just objectively bad. Why 2 stars? I'm feeling generous, I guess, or maybe because the lady at the truck was so sweet. Or maybe because it was a flat $6, which is cheaper than most truck meals. Seriously, though, it was the worst food truck I've tried yet in Indy, and I've tried damn near all of them. Duos happened to be right across the street, and I made the wrong decision. #bummed (For informational purposes, if you still want to try this place, it's cash only.)
