Parking's an issue if you're arriving when the bistro is open. We were always able to find a space, but sometimes not near the cabin. There are a couple signs for "cabin parking" but they were frequently moved, taken down, or ignored. Something the lodge should really fix. Roomy living space, couch, several more upholstered chairs, dining table. Wood burning fireplace (in season). Smartest TV I've seen in a hotel room. Most every streaming service you could think of, and when one wasn't there, it was a breeze to download and add. Full kitchen, basic plates, glasses, silverware. Paper towels provided. Microwave, oven, toaster, dishwasher, full fridge. A few ice trays. If you plan to do your own cooking, plan to take anything more you need. Roomy bathroom, walk in shower, great water pressure. Bed was wavy when moving, so a little partner disturbance, and wife complained it was not great on her back. Ok, but could use a refresh. Daily service as you need; leave a card with what you'd like checked each morning on the door. Overall an excellent place to stay in Townsend. Enough issues that for the price, we may look around a bit before returning.

Small dresser for two people, four hangers on rack, nowhere to place luggage, very small trash can. Indoor pool area was uninviting, water looked unappealing, related bathroom disgusting. Outdoor pools did look fine. Disappointed front desk is not manned 24 hours a day for a facility of this size. Hotel parking tags are given out that include your room number. If someone knows your car and is looking for you, they will find you! Be careful.

We called down to the front desk and they said there was nothing they could do about it until 8am when a manager came on shift. They had no help to offer. Just expected us to stay in the room with it chirping loudly every other minute and did not seem to care at all about the inconvenience. Wouldn't even let us have a late checkout for the inconvenience.

I chose to sleep in a room upstairs, right across from the bathroom. It has a bunk bed and baby bed. I keep finding bugs in this room. I suspect they're flying ants. I laid my raincoat on top of the dresser and when I picked it up yesterday, there were 2 of these bugs. I had to shake the coat off outside and put it in the coat closet instead. Since then, I continue to find these bugs. They're not harmful to me, but one flew by me and it's quite unsettling. I'm afraid to sleep in here but I've got nowhere else to go, so I just have one of my parents walk in there with me to make sure there aren't any in the room so I feel okay to sleep. As of now we only have 2 more nights after tonight before we have to check out of the cabin, but I'm already wishing it away. I really like the pool table and hot tub though, and the bathroom situation is pretty decent. We are in the woods after all, so there's bound to be bugs but I do hate that they're mostly in the room I chose.

I instantly got out of the bed and woke my husband up. We found bed bugs and removed everything of ours from the room. Closed it off..and we left and ended our stay early. This was the very first time this has ever happened to me through Airbnb. I usually have an amazing experience! We are currently at the Laundromat washing all of our stuff and hoping and praying we don't have any going back to our brand new house we just bought! Please always always pay close attention! I would absolutely recommend staying here whether you're a family, a group of friends or ever a couple who wants to relax in the mountains. The resort lodging is great. There are many options with large rooms, numerous bathrooms, and lots of living space for entertainment. Each property has decks that allow for courageous viewing of the smoky mountains! The resort also has a pool which we were able to use. It was incredible to swim and see the mountains! We did not see any bears during our stay but we did wish we did! There were some footprints as well as overturned trash so we assume they were nearby. I would come back and rent a place here if I ever make it back to Tennessee!

We also really enjoyed the hiking trail at the back of the campground. Our 2 interactions with camp store staff were very pleasant, and we met a lot of nice guests here too. Very quiet, clean, and well-maintained with lots of entertainment areas and community spaces available. It's so close to the national park and other off-site adventures, but you could easily have a stay-cation here and never leave! Wi-fi is included and worked great. One tip - if you plan to cook over the fire, get plenty of firewood because their fire pits are quite deep and the cooking grate height cannot be adjusted. Our kids are already asking when we can go back!

We were given a couple goodie bags of candy and then made our way to our cabin. It's basically a small house, with a bedroom, bathroom, living room (with a futon), and small kitchen and dining area. It was perfect for our 4-person family. Air conditioning in both rooms, comfy beds, and black-out shades. Our only complaints were that the floors could have been cleaner and the kitchen should have been stocked with more/better utensils, dishware, and cookware. We enjoyed the amenities, like the pool and cornhole. The location was great, which only took 20 minutes to get to Cades Cove. It's also right on the main road in Townsend, which has some good restaurants. The price was a bit on the high end (more than $150/night), but I'm glad we stayed here as the cottage in particular fit our needs and was unique.

Anyway, both the motel rooms and the cabins are quite nice, and this coming from a hotel snob (I can't help it, too much business travel and it upped my game for nice linens, new rooms, amenities, etc.).
