If your looking for a dive bar that's on a dark street hidden behind a Chinese restaurant a few blocks away from the beach this would be it! This is a pretty small little place that has 2 pool tables and a little stage area in the back. Kinda random but wile I was here I payed a visit to the bathroom where the employee asked me if I had good eyes because he couldn't see how to put the paper towels in the dispenser I felt bad for the dude seeing that he had an eye patch so I did it for him he thanked me and that was that. Overall this is a alright bar nothing to special other than a dive the beer was cold and they had liquor I was satisfied. The bar is also CASH ONLY so make sure you have some Benjamin's handy because well it's always good to have some money on you anyway. If your in need of some cash they also have an ATM in the back so you'll be good. One of the best parts of visiting here had to be the message that was displayed on the curb out front to help the drunk people from tripping on it. We might come here again but definitely wouldn't seek out coming here as it's really nothing special. read more

My d went there last evening to watch her friend perform in a band. She did not realize her id had expired and was denied entry. This is fair, but the person (owner?) denying her entry was excessively mean and rude. To top it off, another student, whose id had also expired *was* allowed entry. Not sure how? . read more

I've had some time to think about this and I hate giving places a low rating. However, it just kept bugging me and I thought I better update this review for a more accurate description of my experience. First of all, yes, the people who go here are definitely friendly. Friendly from the scale of "howdy-neighbor friendly" to the "creepy-old-perv kind of friendly". If you've never been to a place that's kind of hillbilly then look no further! This is it. It was ridiculous the first time around but it's still entertaining. There are a bunch of weird characters who come here but hey, it's an interesting experience. The biggest jerks were probably some of the older men in their 60s who crossed lines and boundaries. I wasn't planning on drinking but since I was so uncomfortable, I started chugging so I can relax and put up with harassment or unwanted attention. My fiance and I just decided that going home and never coming back was a better way to deal with that. It just wasn't our scene... But for those who are looking for a bar for a bit older, less classier folks -- this might be the place for you. This is where I would picture Jeff Foxworthy and his friends would hang out. Maybe it's not usually that bad. I have to admit I've only been here once or twice but it was enough. I can tell that there are regulars who come here often. It seems like it's their second home and that's alright! Good for them to have a place they can just unwind and do whatever. I would never take a date here though, unless you're trying to turn them off or get rid of them. The mixed drinks were great. They were strong and they were fairly priced. I've been here a few times and have had no problem with my service dog in the past, today the owner was there and refused me Service and kicked me out after I showed her proper identification for the service dog I am also reporting her to ADA as well, the owner was very rude, they away from places that don't like dogs, and the place is a dive Bar and she's worried about my dogs cooties give me a break. read more

This is just a very typical dive bar as described. 21 and over only even know they serve food. Service.... uh..... Just don't expect any. Just belly up to the bar and order... They will get to you when time permits. Down to earth crowd. A little grizzly...but fun I guess. If you are a germaphobe....uh not for you. Careful with late night driving from that area. There used to be a chinese restaurant next to it which is now a Cox Store. The OC Sheriff can pick you off very easy. Have a designated driver. I don't agree with the single $ rating. It's moderate price for this type of place. Trying to impress a date? You will impress them right out of your life. 3 stars? I like the dive bar scene.... Only rating a 1 star because I have a strong feeling they switch the booze in their bottles. Multiple people ordered Sailor the night of our visit -- yes, we know the taste of Jerry -- and what we got was a cocktail that tasted like a bottle of Prestige Rum purchased from Smart & Final right next door to the bar. If you have ever made the mistake of purchasing Prestige you would never forget the taste either. I hope I am wrong -- head on in and find out for yourself. A great local dive bar in Capo Beach. Friendly people and staff. Great affordable drinks. Free burgers on Sunday (Yes, you have to grill them yourself!). Tamales on sale and sandwiches. Darts, pool, and sometimes punk bands. Yes, the place does have an older clientele, but so what?! Older people have the right to have fun and a drink now and then too! Ok FIRST THING GO SOMEWHERE ELSE. I would not have even given this bar a star that is how bad it is. I decided to go to the saloon cause I work right their and it took me less than 3minutes to realize what a bad Idea that was, first the very rude and unfriendly bar tender tells me after I ordered a drink they only take cash and I guess she noticed when I pulled my wallet out that I was a chargers fan cause I have the symbol on my wallet cause before I could even ask if their was an atm she says "and we for danm sure don't take cards from people who are chargers fans" and yelled it out to all the old geezers and just sketchy people in the bar. Then she just started laughing as I walked out. I don't care if you like a certain sports team or not I came in their to have a drink,chill,and socialize not get ridiculed. I feel I got the last laugh, because she had to toss that 5$ drink that she refused to me (or either served it to some other sap or drank it her self she looked like she had already had a few)hahaha.
