This was actually the very first bar I ever visited when I turned 21, so it'll always have a special place in my memory. The food was great, the drinks were cold, and the staff made for a solid experience. The atmosphere was definitely lively, and there were a lot of bikers hanging out that night, which was a little intimidating for a first-time bar-goer. That said, everyone was respectful, and it ended up being a fun experience overall. Looking back, I'm glad this was my introduction to the bar scene. Good food, good drinks, and plenty of character. Holy cow the burgers. Good food & outdoor patio area down in the surf ghetto and industrial area. Fries spectacular, and not a pile, decent price for the regular Joe's and Josephine's. This is a good lunch place if you want a burger and a beer, and seems like a fun place to tie one on in the evenings too. This is a nice little, tucked away off the Main Street, traditional sports bar. They have a decent selection of American food and a good amount of tv with whatever sports your into that day. Nice spot to watch the World Cup if you're into that. Service is friendly and they crank out food pretty quickly in this little gem of a sports bar spot. In California for vacation and wanted to watch the World Cup and eat. We stop in , so it's a little rough in there and a few locals belly up to the bar talking really loud. But they had plenty of TVs to watch the game . But let me tell you the pretty bartender was so nice and the food was outstanding. Mulligans was always considered one of the best dive bars in Orange County to me. The drinks/food are great and the service is normally phenomenal. My wife and I met up with another couple to watch the UCLA game on Friday. Turns out they were also showing the Tyson fight so it was real Two-Fer! The place is very divey, in a good way. Easy to park, no cover, and the staff was amazing all night. Eclectic crowd from US Marines to locals to gays to old dudes like us. The wife and I have lived in SC for 22 years and we always heard Mulligan's had great burgers. Finally, in the week of my 60th birthday celebrations I wanted to go to Mulligans to try it out. Heads up, I am bummed I did not take any pictures. We showed up and there were quite a few people and I was surprised as it was Tuesday around noon. We got our menus from a very nice server called June. I did not see the huge signs that said "order at the bar". Once I figured that out we placed our order for beers and burgers. I got the basic burger and added American cheese, along with the standard lettuce, tomato and onion. The wife got the animal style burger. A coupe of on-tap Bud Lights rounded out the meal. The burgers took some time to come out. I expected this from Yelp reviews and from the website that noted they have a small kitchen. No worries, we were in no hurry and enjoyed our beers. June did mention that she appreciated our patience. All good. Burgers came out and they were hot and the fries were piping hot. Fries were freaking great. Not sure the seasoning but it was so tasty. I ate the entire fries serving before tackling the burger. I am not a ranch person, but their homemade ranch was spot on. The wife took the rest of the ranch I did not use. She loves ranch. Now to the burger. Looked great, had a knife through the whole thing holding a nice slice of pickle on the top. First bite of the burger was great with a crunchy outside of the patty and juicy interior. I added some mustard and looking back I should have added mayo or thousand island when I ordered. The wife loved the animal style burger. All good and will go back to try the western burger and patty melt. Also the wings and other things. Free pool play is cool. Went to check this place out on a Saturday night. They have some pool tables (free) in the main room along with a jukebox (TouchTunes). There's a smaller room that has more pool tables and a corner shelf full of board games. The drinks were good and I didn't expect for the food to be so good. We where on a So. Cal trip for the Newport Beach Jazz festival with a broken foot using a scooter and wanted to find a place to watch the 1st NBA finals playoff game. We used Yelp and settled on this place based on the photos. The food looked good and it was very good! The staff was nice and accommodating as they moved a high back bar chair to the table so that I could sit comfortably and use the high table chair to elevate my foot. The wings where good, the burgers, onion rings, salad and the wrap sandwich too. The bar was kind of dive bar, with lots of pool tables, tv screens and a full bar. We liked the food so much we returned on our last evening and ordered takeout to eat as we packed for our last day and return flight. I also loved the artwork on the walls.' They have typical bar food, chicken strips, fries, tots, wings, etc. but everything we ordered was really good. The wing sauce chipotle ranch comes highly recommended. The menu was quite large and next time we will for sure try the burgers. They looked really good and the bartender said they are known for them. Tons of options and really good prices. The place itself is pretty big and has pool tables and ping pong. Super fun place for football and would be fun at night. It was decently busy for the afternoon games but not too bad in the morning.
