Finally was able to afford some hiking shoes here. Most shoes here are over $100, so we had to…read moresave to buy some shoes here. Well the day finally came, and they had limited of my size but thankfully they had a pair that I not only liked the colors of, but where insanely comfortable. They do have a free rewards program and if you buy non sale items that are over $100 you get a rebate. I know most of the time I'll probably buy items on sale, but that rewards program did cone in handy today. My husband did say he wants to grab some items in the future for camping, possibly a tent and some bags. They have lots of options, and I like that they had an area to test your shoes on rock like terrain. The employees are always friendly and helpful. I love this type of furniture, so I enjoy looking around, but the prices are high. I found a couple of Mission Oak footstools I would have loved to have bought, but they were in the $400-500 range - for a simple footstool. Granted, not easy to find and in good shape, but that was more than I was willing to pay. Shop is located in St. Joseph, which is traditionally a wealthy area (Whirlpool Corporation is here, so be sure to notice the who-needs-a-house-that-big mansions along the lakeshore if you drive by). St. Joseph is a tourist and summer home area for people with money. The furniture here is desirable, beautiful, and hard to find. Those factors create high prices that others can and will pay. As for we middle class types, we continue to rummage out of the way antiques shops in hopes of a lucky find.

When I walked in a few minutes before closing, the two ladies working were still kind and welcoming. They didn't make me feel rushed at all. There wasn't too much inventory but I ended up with a really cute grey blazer for work $20, a butter dish $1.50, and a beautifully giving spider plant with a vase $5. They were having a 50% off moving sale so I managed to get some scores. The only thing I passed on was the rose brooch and I'll forever regret it haha. May its owner love it dearly & enjoy as much as I am with my finds. Happy shopping!
