Best dogs ever! Even better than a Chicago style dog. Very friendly staff, too.

Tom has figured out how to do hot dogs right. Be sure to try his Z relish and firehouse mustard. Remarkable stuff!

A cuban friend recommend this place. Since we are in Holland today, we have to try it. It is…read moresituated in a strip mall and has plenty of parking spaces. There was no customer when we went, it was a Sunday around 5PM. The host/cashier was nice and friendly. We sat and she gave us 2 menus (spanish and english). I wish there were more photos of food so we have an idea what to order. Anyways, we asked her to make sure we order the right one. -Cubano Sandwich was really good. The pork was not the typical pulled pork, it tastes more of a lechon or roasted pork. It was juicy and tender. It comes with shoe string potatoes. -Croqueta, I chose ham as filling. This one is a winner for me. A great appetizer to start. -Beans... one of the best beans I ever had. My husband loves beans and he enjoyed this one a lot! -Pastries (coco and guyaba) we took it from the shelf by the cashier. They were ok. Not so sweet. This restaurant has a little store at the side almost to the back... some Cuban stuff and snacks.

I am hoping more people come to eat here as it's pretty good food. There is plenty of baked goods and drinks if you are looking for a snack sized option as well. The menu is huge with large sized portions. This is one of the few places I have seen lobster on the menu in Holland too. They had the potato balls with ground beef and a well complemented tangy sauce to dip with that was great. The half banana balls with 4 different proteins (pork, ground beef, chicken and tuna) were also very good. I got the lobster and added a side of plantains and it was excellent! I would love to come back and try more things. The prices were reasonable, but wasn't sure if the staff understood at times as we were needing plates for the appetizers.

We tried Mezkla on 8th Street in Holland recently, and it was one of those meals where everything…read morejust lined up. I had the steak quesadilla. My wife had the shrimp tacos. Both were excellent. The guacamole was fresh, bright, and clearly made with care. Nothing felt like an afterthought. What stood out most was the experience. The chef came out to check on our dinner personally. That kind of attention tells you something about the people behind the food. Mezkla sits right near the new theater strip on West 8th, and they're already expanding their dining room. Growth like that doesn't happen by accident. It happens when the food is good, the service is genuine, and people keep coming back. If you're in the mood for excellent Mexican cuisine in Holland, give Mezkla a serious look. We'll be back.

Bland, bland, bland food. Decent service. Nice ambiance…read more Ordered chips and salsa, nopales tacos, potato tacos, and the Jamaican Hibiscus agua fresca. The chips and salsa were decent enough, the agua fresca was so cloyingly sweet that it was pretty much undrinkable, and the nopales and potato tacos were utterly tasteless. The food came out fast and the waitress was at once brisk, brusque and efficient. The patio area was nice to sit out on during a pleasant summer evening. We were glad we did not sit indoors--the outdoor seating was one of the few good things about the experience. The restroom was clean. Two stars because there were quite a few vegan options and because Taco Tuesday was good value for money. Was overall however quite disappointed and will certainly not return.

I heard about this place on instagram! Saw a friend went here and wanted to check it out:)…read more It's located in the back parking lot of the bar Parrots. There was ample parking when I went after work around 5:30 and one other group there eating already and saying how much they enjoyed their food which got me excited. I walked up to the truck and the gentleman behind the counter gave me some pointers and said what he recommended. I ordered the Bird Mac with tots. This burger has shredded pickles, caramelized onion, thousand island dressing, and American cheese. Very much a classic and I thought that would be a good place to start. The flavor was delicious and the tots went really well with this burger. I asked for garlic aioli for the dipping sauce. I think next time I'd love to try the Mac Daddy because Mac and cheese on a burger is very intriguing! Would recommend this spot because the food was good and the service was incredible! Thankfully it was a nice day and I could eat this on the back patio but you could also get your food to-go as well:)
