Great gelato, a vast array of changing flavors, (also, from small size and up, you can mix and match 2 flavors!!!), a quiet location, indoor AND outdoor seating, legit espresso and cappuccino, a clean interior, reasonable prices, friendly staff, a private parking lot, etc, etc. They just really check all the boxes. Even my Little One, whos favorite ice cream is "Mister Softee," loves coming here to eat "Ferrero Rocher" gelato. My last trip I got pistachio blueberry cheesecake. Boom. I am POSITIVE that we will be back multiple times this summer. Also, they are part of the South Jersey diners club, so you get a discount if you are a member! I walked in soon after they opened in 2023 not knowing what to expect. But what I found is a family-run business with an amazing array of delicious gelato flavors, a mix of traditional staples, combined with other seasonal and unique flavors. I visit their website on Tuesday and see what the selections are for the week. Trust me: there are new flavors all the time, using a variation of ingredients such as dark chocolate, cannoli, olive oil, figs, all different fruits, etc. There is so much variety in their display... It is impossible to choose what to pick! So my family ends up usually getting two different flavors in a large cup, or more in a jumbo cup order. The product is so rich, creamy and tantalizing, we buy enough for the entire week. The gelato can be kept in your freezer so you can buy a variety with more cups at one time, just bring a cooler with you. They also began hosting small events and parties this year. You will love the scenery and music that is played! It truly is our "GO TO DESSERT" while watching movies or ballgames. They expanded into cappuccino and espresso soon after they opened which I also highly recommend! Having heard many great things about Dolce VIta Gelateria, I decided to stop by to see - and to taste - for myself. Located on the corner, it was easy to find and there was plenty of parking. Outside were some very cute tables to sit at to enjoy your treats. There are a variety of flavors that will appeal to anyone. Egg-based gelato, milk-based gelato, chocolate-based gelato, nut-based gelato and water -based sorbetto. You can get your gelato in a a variety of sizes, or even stuffed into a brioche. I got 2 four-flavor mini coolers and the gelato was perfectly frozen when I arrived home 20 minutes later. I bought the following flavors: vanilla, cannoli, pistachio, tiramisu and coconut. Every single flavor was delicious - and the gelato was creamy frozen perfection. I will have to try an affogato on my next visit - oh yes, they have a nice coffee drink menu as well as refreshing Italian sodas. The service was great, friendly and efficient. Ever since we heard a gelato place was opening nearby we were have been so excited. Finally we had a night with no plans and we weren't too full from dinner to head on over. The parking lot is something to note, since so many places do not have convenient parking. Upon entering it's evident care was taken to make you feel like you've opened a portal to Italy. The stone wallpaper, vines, and Italian scenery is just perfection. This family owned and operated business had a line on Saturday night around 8:30 and we love to see it. The wife was scooping flavors, husband was restocking items and checking on customers, and what seemed to be their daughter was running the register. They were all very welcoming and willing to answer any and all questions regarding flavors. They color code all flavors so people will know if they are egg based, nut based, milk based, or cocoa based. The flavors have their Italian title with a description of what they are underneath which is helpful to people who may not know what some of the items may contain. Despite being Italian, I needed the descriptions for some of the flavors. I got the kinder bueno ( cocoa hazelnut with wafers) and the Nutella. The Nutella was rich and creamy and was voted our favorite flavor of the night. The kinder bueno was milder with a light hazelnut flavor. My husband got the amarena ( imported cherries) and millefoglie ( vanilla puff pastry and bilberry). Both is his flavors were great and the cherry swirl in the Amarena was scrumptious. We ended up grabbing pistachio and hazelnut for my mom on the way out to-go and I tasted the pistachio. It was amazingly delicious. They have a variety of dessert options like affogoto, panini, and brioche ice cream "sandwiches" and more. They also stay open until 12 am on Saturday evenings for their own "club gelato" dance party. I really hope they have amazing success all year long. Looking forward to some fall and winter flavors. We loved the gelato. I had the dark chocolate she had the Oreo and I also had a double espresso. This is the real deal. The place was busy but the service was fast and they made you feel comfortable. My wife and I spent our honeymoon in Italy and everytime we were on our way to another landmark we would stop and grab a gelato to enjoy on the walk. Here in the states, there are a handful of places that claim to have gelato, but it's basically an ice cream in disguise.... But then Dolce Vita opened and from the first taste we were transported back to the streets of Rome. The options in flavors cover all the Italian classics and each one is more delicious than the last. The ultimate test was the Pistacchio and everything from the consistency/cream level to the color (perfect shade of green) to the flavor (delicious) is exactly how the best gelato places in Rome make it. My sister and I stopped by yesterday for the first time to try out this gelato. She had a small of their kinder cereal bar flavor, and I had a medium with raspberry and dark chocolate. All three flavors were totally delicious. You can order two flavors in a small or larger. (They have a size smaller than a small which is one flavor only). The inside was petite, but decorated and has a few seats. The staff member we interacted with was very kind and knowledgeable. Chose here for my Mother's Day dessert and so glad we did! First and foremost, excellent customer service. Everyone was so friendly and gracious. My husband asked a lot of questions and they were very nice. The gelato was delicious. My 13 year old who rarely says anything nice said it was the best ice cream he has ever had. I'm lactose intolerant and run into major issues with dairy, but because all of the ingredients come directly from Italy I've never had any issues. Goes to show you how much thought and care goes into creating the gelato. Nick and Kim are incredible and provide the best service around. Grace is very welcoming and is always ready to assist with anything you need. Dante keeps the business running with amazing tech that you would expect at a franchised company, not from a small business like this. Nick studied how to make gelato straight from Italy and is always open to any feedback on how to make anything better.
