I've been here many times but this time was my least satisfying. I ordered a sandwich with no cheese, it had cheese. The sandwich is supposed to have Russian dressing and I asked for extra on the side. I'm glad I reminded them about the side of dressing because the sandwich was dry. Love the food and the help is always... well, helpful. However, for the past several months, they rarely get our phoned-in sandwich order right. Example: The last time I ordered two subs. One was OK. For the other I specified two meats, one cheese plus the usual other stuff. Instead, I got a normal quantity of a meat I didn't order, one slice of a meat I did order, and a single slice of the wrong cheese! This is happening so consistently, it can't be accidental so we've given up on Liscios. Tried this Liscio's again after many months for a hoagie. And again, it was disappointing. It wasn't crowded (mid-afternoon on a weekday). I ordered a turkey and Swiss cheese hoagie with oil and mayo, condiments in side cups. Opened it later, and it had just one slice of cheese, no oil, and a bit of mayo. I can't stand a dry hoagie, especially when I didn't order it that way, It's a surprise when they get a hoagie order right here. Don't get me wrong: I love their pizza. But the people who make the hoagies are idiots. And now they skimp on the cheese. One other thing: The people who work here seem aloof and act like they're doing you a favor waiting in you. And at least now they ask if you want a bag. Before, if you didn't bring a bag, good luck carting everything to the car. Today we had the hoagie, condiments in side cups, and pizza slices. "Would you like a bag?" It's tempting to say, "No, I'll juggle everything out the door and into the car." By contrast, Aversa's always provides bags without asking and they're cheerful and make you feel like a valued customer. There are too many other places around here to get good hoagies and good service. My wife said to me (as we added our own oil and mayo to the dry hoagie), "Why did you even go there again? They never get things right. Now they're even cutting back on the cheese." And you know what? From now on, I'm taking my wife's advice. Even Wawa beats this place for hoagies. read more

I grew up down the road from this Liscios, but even when I moved a few towns away, I'd still pop in with family members for stellar baked goods and top-tier hoagies. Their old world Italian hoagie on a seeded roll has been my favorite consistently through the years, even after long lags of no visits. But I think the aroma when you walk inside is in a realm of its own. Seriously: This place smells too good, what with all the cakes, pastries, ready-made items, pizzas, and deli items available to order. Be sure to grab a number if you're looking for more than grab and go. It doesn't take long to receive a hoagie after ordering. I'd say expect a wait time similar to Wawa for a much better product. I most recently also tried their pumpkin crumb cake and pumpkin pizzelles. Both were delicious! I hope this place continues to prosper for many more years to come. read more

we ordered two corn beef specials which were on hoagie rolls, they call them bulldogs, there was so much dressing on them, little meat, little cheese and some coleslaw slopped all over it. each one was $26 and I was so disappointed. I stopped at in here to see what they have to offer since up until now, I was only aware of their rolls that I get at my local supermarket. This is a full service bakery with lots of treats and also rolls, loaves of bread and a full deli counter. They also have almost a dozen varieties of pie that you can buy by the slice. Liscio's is the number one place for hoagies in Washington Township. To get an idea what a true hoagie is, get a Liscio's Old World. I'm originally from the Philadelphia area and was quite spoiled by true hoagies. When I moved here years ago, ugh... sorry South Jersey, your local hoagies are more like chain store subs :( Liscio's has everyone beat in this department. Their pastries are a hit or miss, depending on how snobby you are with your tastes. If you expect ultra fresh, soft pastries, then you better find out when they first stock them. I've found most of the pastries and sweets behind the glass to be a bit stale. This does not take away from the taste though! Their pound cakes with buttercream frosting are the best I've found in the area so far. Their Italian rum cake is also quite yummy and if you order one, it's very moist. Back to those yummy hoagies though! The lunchmeat is freshly sliced for each sandwich (you can watch them do it!) and their rolls are the best in the area (IMO). On top of this, I find their prices to be extremely affordable. Our family of four can eat three regular sized sandwiches, two slices of pizza (which is fairly good), two bottle drinks for the kids, and a "sweet" for each of us, for under $30... definitely NOT expensive! I should mention that almost every person who works there is very friendly... aside from one guy who makes the hoagies.... he seems grumpy... but since he does such a good job, and the girls are cheerful, this does not take away from my experience. read more
