I will start this as I always do by saying that I don't give out five stars unless I am really blown away. I was very happy with our choice to stop in to this restaurant. They are unique in the fact that they offer a keto menu. We both ordered from the menu and ordered the keto chicken tacos appetizer. It was very tasty. The shell of it was cooked cheese. The only complaint I could give is the shell wasn't crunchy but I wasn't really expecting it to be. I was very happy with the appetizer. I got the park crusted chicken and she got the cauliflower crusted salmon. Both were excellent. The both had vegetables and mashed cauliflower on the side. The cauliflower mash was the best I have had. It was like mashed potatoes. I spoke with the owner and she told me how they do it which was great info. She also gave me a bunch of other pointers for the keto diet. Overall the experience was great. We loved the menu and the options keto and not keto. The atmosphere was nice and great for a date. We will be going back and soon.

Cinnamon sugar keto pretzel (came with two)
    Emily V.

While visiting Syracuse, we were looking for keto options so I was super excited to try the keto menu! I ordered the keto pretzel however when ordering was informed that they were trying something different so it was cinnamon sugar and that was the only option. I wasn't a fan, it was hard in some spots and soft in others and lacked flavor. I think it would have been better plain with a cheese or mustard dipping sauce. We also got the keto meat lovers pizza (minus bacon and ham) and my husband said that was "money" - it tastes more like a real pizza than we've had in months! I wish the crust was a bit crispier but that may have been because of delivery time and it did have good flavor! The broccoli chicken Alfredo with zoodles was also really good. I thought the Alfredo had a great flavor. Finally, the keto chocolate peanut butter cake was quite good . Was it as good as a non-keto dessert, no, but it was pretty darn satisfying! Overall, I love that they had so many keto options and it was pretty good though I was disappointed with the pretzels. Things did feel a bit overpriced though... delivery was quick!

    Calamari and Wild Mushroom Pillows

There's a lot of room for improvement here, some really good things and not so great things. I'm hoping to come back and see a star or two gain in the future. We saw a promotion for this place on yelp for a free app with purchase of two entres, which is in. There were really good signs at first, lots of appetizer options, a bar, and reasonable prices. We ordered some drinks and the GLASSES WERE CHILLED! Off to a good start. Unfortunately our draft beer was flat. :/ The food was very hit or miss. Appetizers: Mushroom Pillows - Hit! Calamari - Miss - too much breading and was kind of hard Tuna Skewers - Hit hit hit! Crab Cakes - Miss - too breaded, could be smaller and crabbier and would be much better. Entres: Cajun Pasta - Hit! Order with shrimp! Szechuan Stir Fry - miss miss miss - too much sauce which was too sweat. Barely ate any. Just need to weed the duds off the menu and this place could easily get 4 stars, maybe 5. The service was definitely good! The biggest lost of stars was the fact that half of the food we ordered just wasn't that enjoyable, which I think can be remedied. I'm planning to come back for a happy hour sometime and hoping to add another star in the future to my review.

I can't write an in depth review because I hopped in for a quick drink before a show at Community Folk Arts Center. What I love is that Antoinette is never too busy to say hello and her bartenders always remember me and my friends. That means tons! Dolce is full of sweet people and and great energy. If you stop in for a bite, hop over to Syracuse Stage or any venue on the Connective Corridor an extend your night. If you're heading to a gallery show at CFAC or a play, stop into Dolce for food! Love this place!

    Asiago rib eye
    Mike L.

The staff is amazing and super attentive, the crab cakes were to die for, the atmosphere is perfect, the music is spot on, the water was cold and clean, the rib eye was amazing along with the wings and the chocolate cake. It was fast; but not too fast. I'm usually one to find something wrong, but I've got nothing to hold against this place. The price was a great deal for all of this out together. Absolutely coming here more often! it was so good I couldn't even get the photo before I dug in.

Keto Herbed Butter Salmon Keto with zoodles
    Marissa R.

I was so excited to try this place and their Keto menu. When I walked in my mom and I were the only two people in the restaurant except for 3 people at the bar. Our waitress was very attentive and friendly. We ordered the crab cakes for an appetizer which were ok, very dry. For an entree I got the salmon. The salmon was good but nothing spectacular but zoodles were drenched with oil. Was honestly disappointed but maybe would return to try something different....

    a plate of food

Absolutely horrible experience ordering takeout from both dolce vita and Franco's tonight. First the menu online was combined with Franco's next door and says it's the dolce menu. Second we were overcharged when we got there. Was supposed to be $68 but we're charged $77. Third they only take cash and did not tell us on the phone and is no where on their website. I find this very sketchy because they had a card machine out in sight. But they do not want to have to pay for the credit fees. Fourth the food presentation was disgusting and the food itself was horrible. I ordered the eggplant rolitili and it was awful. The meal was freezing cold and tasted like a frozen meal from a grocery store. Fifth they got our orders wrong. They gave a hard gross bun instead of a wrap. And did not give fries and the salad we ordered. This is the worst takeout food my family has ever had. The place was also disgusting and dirty inside (Franco's). We are quite disappointed as it was our first time ordering from here and it is my moms birthday. The last photo I am including is a picture of how the eggplant was supposed to look. COMPLETELY DIFFERENT. Am never going back here.

For drinks they have a good selection of beers on tap, usually 10-20, from local and national breweries. The server offered me a sample before I fully committed on a beer I had a question about and I appreciated being able to try it before committing to a full glass. The Evergreen's menu itself is accessed through a QR code where their full list of options and specials are listed. My group opted to share the beer fries and they were taaaasty, pillowy soft, crunchy, and amazingly well seasoned. The vegetarian options are a regular part of the restaurant and the fried tofu I had was genuinely satisfying and well done. My cajun pasta was maybe a touch over but I was okay with it since it had my condiment obsession of chili crisp in it. The menu is well marked for dietary needs. A great thing of note is that they have women's, men's, AND an all-gender bathroom. I appreciate the inclusion in the food and restaurant itself. Car parking is street parking, it's accessible via the Centro bus system, and there is an artistic broken-chain shaoed bike rack just across the street from the restaurant. My partner and I chose to split the herb fries, burnt end chicharrones, and the brussels. I thought the herb fries were delightfully crisp with great flavor. The sweet & spicy smokey sauce that was provided with it was a bit tangy. I didn't like it at first, but it grew on me! You'll definitely have to taste it for yourself. The burnt end chicharrones left more to be desired. Both my partner and I thought they were dry and not tender. Also, there was something about the flavor that we did not care for. I absolutely love burnt ends from BBQ joints, and this was the first time we've ordered chicharrones so I don't have something to compare them to, but I'd suggest trying them elsewhere. As for the brussels, when we first got to the restaurant our friends were sharing them. We tried one bite and knew we had order a whole plate for ourselves! They were literally the best brussel sprouts we've ever had. The roasted garlic aioli and grana cheese were topped on perfectly cooked brussels which I would go back for. I highly suggest checking out The Evergreen, go through their beer menu, and find a new favorite plate.

We ordered appetizers and individual pizzas. I'm a sucker for a brussels sprouts appetizer and had to try theirs. This will be a repeat order, all the flavors balance each other so well(sweet, salty, and that mustard glaze yum). My friends enjoyed this as well. My friend's ordered the zucchini fritte and they enjoyed that. I ordered my favorite, tried and true The Calabrian (I love hot honey on anything lol). My friends ordered the Garlic & Broccolini (which would be my second choice). They both enjoyed their pizzas, my friend and I shared a sliced with each other. I like the garlic and broccolini as well, I enjoy a white sauce based pizza at times(I love broccoli on pizza, huge garlic person lol). They ordered dessert and coffee, and they both loved the pistachio crème brûlée. Overall it was a great evening with friends, delicious food and atmosphere. So far so good. Very nice young woman looked after us. My wife ordered the rigatoni and I had the chops. She loved her rigatoni so much she's finishing it off 2 days later and still loving it. Sadly my dish was a bit of a disappointment. My two large chops were extremely fatty. It's the kind you simply can't cut through on a slippery plate. Trying to separate what little meat there was from the fat was impossible so I had to give up and bring it home to a cutting board and an extremely sharp knife. I haven't tried to eat it yet but it looks as fatty as the first. Both had been totally covered by a condiment that I think should have been served in a separate container to allow the diner to regulate the amount desired. The base was a pilf which made trying to cut the chops even more difficult because every time the meat or the knife slipped, the table was showered with grains....all a bit slapstick....! As I previously said, my wife loved her meal and the previous visit was epic so I hate to criticise but I'm just trying to be honest and fair. I think $45 for a couple of very fatty chops with not much meat and smothered in a vinaigrette you might not like is a bit cheeky... In different circumstances I would have sent it back.
