The preserve is always a great time, good food, and awesome service! I've been for lunch a few times with work but recently went for a birthday dinner and enjoyed all of it. I didn't realize they had a different menu for lunch and dinner so I was pleasantly surprised to see some new options than what I am used to. I had an espresso martini with peanut butter cold foam and I wish I could taste the pb but still delicious. My friend and I both ordered chicken and the pieces were huge and so delicious!! We had a reservation for a Friday night and i'm glad we did because the place was packed, which it normally is! We were even 15 mins late and they were super nice about it and had no problem keeping our table for us. All the staff are very friendly and can give an answer to any question on the menu very quickly. I really do like everything about the preserve and will keep coming back! It's also nice they have a parking lot and don't have to street park.

I gave this place 3 stars because the server was great, the drinks were great and the garlic parm fries were phenomenal. It was difficult to converse with my party because there was a super large party next to my party and they were extremely loud but very nice people who supported our party. I subtracted two stars because My entree was cold when it came out. The Risotto that came with my Salmon entree was not edible at all it was very hard.

Really nice interior, we put in a reservation ahead of time for a high top table. Upon arriving they did not have a high top table reserved for us, but luckily sorted out an option albeit being a little awkward as we stuck out into the aisle in an inconvenient way for others. The food itself was good, my party ordered 3 hot lobster rolls. Mine unfortunately looked a lot different, and not what I'd expect for a roll of the price. It was tiny, shreaded pieces that looked more like the end of the container or lobster salad. The taste also didnt compare. The other two however were good with large chunks of claw meat. I wouldn't get my version again but would consider the other two. These were supposed to be all the same sandwich though so I am not sure about it. The appetizer and desserts for the evening were all great. We were shocked at how much fried dough there was for the cinnamon butter fried dough. The service however by the end of the evening really was fantastic, they did a lot to make up for the reservation mistake and I really appreciate that warm attitude.

While my lobster roll was fantastic, other people who ordered the same thing received far less chunks of lobster and it was much tougher. Server was attentive and nice. Due to an issue with our reservation we had a fairly awkward seating arrangement in the bar that felt a bit crowded whenever someone passed by which made it difficult to enjoy the ambiance. Seems to have plenty of off street parking

I was really looking forward to trying this place after reading so many great reviews but unfortunately, my experience was pretty disappointing. I ordered the Cody sandwich (a chicken pesto sandwich), and it was surprisingly bland. I was expecting more flavor especially with pesto but it just fell flat. My fries were also lukewarm. Overall, it didn't live up to the hype and I left feeling underwhelmed. The presentation of the food was great though!

Had a dinner reservation with some friends on a Friday night. The service was incredibly slow especially for ordering 3 salads and 1 alcoholic beverage. It took nearly 1.5 hours from being seated to get dinner served. The food was good, I enjoyed the sun-dried tomato in the Caesar salad. I'm not sure if their ventilation system was broken but the dining room was incredibly hazy and our eyes were watering throughout dinner from the smoke. I wouldn't go out of my way to come back here

I was very pleased with my family's meal last night. Water was delivered to the table as we were seating. We ordered the fried mozzarella as an appetizer and they were delicious! We shared the funky chicken (buffalo) pizza, wedge salad, and sweet potato fries (well done); everything came out perfect, it exceeded my expectations! To finish our dinner, we got some coffee and cake! To sum it up: very friendly staff, accessible parking, comfortable seating, and great food!!!

I absolutely enjoy dining at The Preserve at 405. The owner and his staff are always so welcoming and kind. They have some of the best wait staff I've ever encountered. The signature cocktails are phenomenal! Food is delicious! Portions are HUGE and worth the cost. The atmosphere is very modern & comfortable. Great for all occasions! If dining here on a weekend, I would strongly encourage making a reservation.

Always loveeee our food from here!! The wedge is outstanding, you must get the wedge. I've also had the beet and goat cheese salad with salmon and I was happy dancing it was so delicious!! The salmon was cooked to perfection and I got it to go! Amazing! Will be ordering again and again.

This is a very nice restaurant! The service was great. I ordered the special which was a sirloin steak, 4 blackened scallops, mashed potatoes, French beans, and a wedge salad. It was phenomenal. Removing 1 star because I thought the scallops were a tad salty for my palette and the dining room is VERY loud. Practically had to yell across the table to have a conversation. Overall would go back again!

This unassuming restaurant in a warehouse district was just what we needed after a long drive. The shrimp app was so tasty and had a large portion of shrimp. The burger and tuna melt were large and tasty, as were the fries. The strawberry salad with salmon tasted great but was sorely lacking in balsamic and I was basically eating dry spinach. Service was great.

I visited for the first time last night and I WILL be going back! The artsy atmosphere alone was amazing! You'll fine tons of eclectic art on the walls. The cocktails were so creative. The menu is extensive - something. For everything! This time I got the cheese board as an entree. Lots of leftovers from that. It was delish with many choices. The staff was super friendly and I even got a pose from the hostess! We sat outdoors where you'll find a quaint patio including a fire pit with seating. Highly recommend checking this restaurant out!!

But, the vegetables were great. The flat iron was cooked perfectly. It had a great flavor but was a little chewy, not terribly though. The vegetables with that dish were also quite good. Dessert was not appealing enough for the price. I was happy to try this place. Walking through the restaurant was nice as the space was very large and the decor indoor was cozy and whimsical. Our server was nice throughout the meal. I asked them if they could get me a clean cup and they ended up bringing the same one as the same mark and crumb were still there. For food, our table ordered a few items to share. We got: -CAULIFLOWER WINGS: The chutney/salsa on top of the fried cauliflower was nice and gave the item a little sour kick. However, the cauliflower itself was not cooked fully so not as soft as I wanted it to be. -SYRACUSE POUTINE: The appearance of the poutine was not the best. However, the gravy it came with was very flavorful and tasty. The potatoes themselves were not fried and were in wedge form but went well with the gravy. The small globs of melted cheese on top were a nice complement. -CAJUN SLIDERS: The slider compliments/sauce went well together but the sliders themselves had grill marks on it which gave a bitter bite to those parts of the slider. Additionally, the fried shrimp inside of the slider still had the tail on and so it was a bit of a surprise to bite into a full tail while eating a slider. All in all, a cute spot to see people but food had some hit or miss components.

I was the only returning patron, the others much enjoyed their first time here. Walking through the front door you're instantly hit with a wonderful smell of food cooking over an open fire. Got a terrific table to look out the window and enjoyed a nice evening view. Took full advantage of every food meal course available. Started out with their evening appetizer of homemade bread with cinnamon butter. Each of us got our own dinner choice along with small plates to start. The two small plates were green lentil salad and ember roasted carrots. Both of them with their unique flavor and style. The green lentil salad featured heirlooms. The ember roasted carrots featured labrieth, doqqa, and maple syrup. Keep in mind everything here comes from local farms and local breweries and distilleries. Big fan of supporting the state and local community. Fantastic! They feature only a few main entrées, tonight's included halibut, steak, chicken, and sea Island peas with jasmine rice. Knowing how well seasoned their steaks are, I went with a filet mignon 10 ounce. Probably a little more than I should've gotten, but I very rarely eat steak and know how well and good they are here. Ordered the steak medium to medium rare and that's exactly how it came out. Mouth watering delicious. Along with the steak includes mashed potatoes, chimichurri, kale, and. crème fraiche. Every bite was outstanding. One of us got ice cream for dessert which she said was very good. The ice cream was made right there at the restaurant. We kicked off the dinner with a rum cocktail and a tequila cocktail. All spirits locally sourced. If you haven't tried it here yet you should. You will not be disappointed.

So far so good. Very nice young woman looked after us. My wife ordered the rigatoni and I had the chops. She loved her rigatoni so much she's finishing it off 2 days later and still loving it. Sadly my dish was a bit of a disappointment. My two large chops were extremely fatty. It's the kind you simply can't cut through on a slippery plate. Trying to separate what little meat there was from the fat was impossible so I had to give up and bring it home to a cutting board and an extremely sharp knife. I haven't tried to eat it yet but it looks as fatty as the first. Both had been totally covered by a condiment that I think should have been served in a separate container to allow the diner to regulate the amount desired. The base was a pilf which made trying to cut the chops even more difficult because every time the meat or the knife slipped, the table was showered with grains....all a bit slapstick....! As I previously said, my wife loved her meal and the previous visit was epic so I hate to criticise but I'm just trying to be honest and fair. I think $45 for a couple of very fatty chops with not much meat and smothered in a vinaigrette you might not like is a bit cheeky... In different circumstances I would have sent it back. While staying in Downtown Syracuse I looked for some good Italian in the area and this place came…read moreup with excellent reviews. I checked OpenTable for 6:30PM on a Wednesday night and it said there was nothing within 3-1/2 hours. I found this very odd and since I was on my own, I ventured on down anyway to see if I could score a spot at the bar, which I easily did because they were only 1/4 full and the bar only had 3 other people at it when I arrived. I believe the bartender's name was Justin and he was great... very friendly and helpful, as well as engaging. He constantly checked on me and discussed the menu and restaurant, as well as their offerings. I chose their All 'Amatriciana with their slightly breaded chicken breast on top. The chicken was so very good! The All 'Amatriciana itself was so bland. I was disappointed in how bland it was. There was no spice at all to it, so I asked for their crushed red pepper and ended up putting several spoonfuls on it - turns out their crushed red peppers are either old or stale, but they're definitely bland and useless, as they didn't add any spike to the flavor of this dish and if the chef used these to season this dish while making it, that would explain some of what it was so bland. I will say that their table bread was outstanding! It came with their whipped butter, seasoned with honey and parmesan and that combo was so good! Too bad I didn't order something else, like pizza, as this is what I initially saw in reviews that looked amazing. I'm sure they normally are great here, I just came on an off night.

Another Take Out Thursday…read more If you asked me if I'd ever thought id have a chicken parm waffle id have been pretty sure id say no but I've never had funk n waffle so I figured if im gonna do this might as well go weird with it. The waffle is literally made of spaghetti like the pressed a pile of spaghetti into the waffle iron. The sauce is sweet with chunks of tomato which I like. The chicken parm piece was good but a little small. 2 entrees for $30 so reasonably priced. The people are very nice and thr various options mean of course we have to go back.
