I went here asking for a very subtle color change, showing pictures and everything. Instead of a natural auburn brown, I ended up with straight up ORANGE. It was unacceptable so I had a friend put box dye over it because it was so bad. A waste of $200 when I could have paid $8 for a better color with a box dye. My hairdresser was super nice, but the results were absolutely not. Special note: if you book online, be prepared to pay more than the price stated on your booking information. read more

I had a groupon for a cut and blowdry at the academy [separate from the actual salon, around the back]. The price was quite reasonable & they did a good job. It was cut a little shorter than I was going for BUT I love how it looks. (I asked for a bit below the shoulders, they cut it shoulder length) They still do a better job than places like cost cutters...and these people aren't even actual hairdressers yet. I have been going to Dolce for years now and it is the best of the best. Not only are the professional services top quality but the customer service is out of this world. Most recently I got the lash extensions to make life a bit easier on vacation. BEST VACATION ACCESSORY EVER. Step off an overnight flight? Still looking bright eyed. Go swimming? No raccoon eyes. Go for a hike in the heat? Eyelashes still looking perfect. I even went cliff jumping and emerged from the water with great looking lashes. These lashes make life so much easier with reduced getting ready time and also make you look your very best, even after jumping off a cliff. What more could a girl want? read more

I went to Dolce this past Friday. First, my stylist was twenty minutes late for my appointment because she was picking up product . I truly didn't mind tho because I was a stylist at one point and was completely understanding. After showing a plethora of pictures to stylist, Cassie, she began to mix bleach. After she began to process my hair, the foils began to get hot (I have well water that I previously warned her about) and she continued on- taking some foils out and letting me process without them in. After she was done taking videos and pictures of her coloring my hair for self promotion -her client after me walked in I sat there for three hours with bleach on some Parts of my hair. As she was busy foiling her other client, other stylists were washing and toning my hair. When I got back in Cassie's chair she apologized because she over processed my hair and as I looked at her hair brush piles of hair came out - I began to panic inside. After crying in the car- I got home I immediately did a hair treatment and brushed my hair to have my hair falling out in clumps and sores at the nape of neck because of the heat from the foils. Mind you I paid 265 dollars in total to for this mess. I contacted Cassie to see if I could get my money back because I now have to go get my hair fixed even offering to pay for the product she used because that would be fair. All she had to offer me is haircuts and olaplex treatments. I unfortunately have access to olaplex treatments and this solution I felt is a complete cop out. Why would I continue to go to a salon that left me looking like this ?? Please don't ignore these bad reviews. This salon is esthetically pleasing but that's about it. As a licensed stylist who stopped practice three years ago, I would never pull the crap this salon did. Having a client walk out the door looking how I did, and having my hair come out nothing like I wanted was heartbreaking. I wish that there was a solution that the stylist and I could have come up with that would make both of us comfortable but unfortunately I don't want to step foot back in this salon . read more

I'm from NYC so as soon as I saw this place has a parking lot I'm already won over. Doesn't take much to make me unhappy except when an institution forgets you are the customer and that without customers they wouldn't exist......that's when they'll definitely lose me. I brought someone here to get a haircut. What I told them I wanted was simple but it occurs to me that to in order to have understanding in communication, an institution catering to making people look better than when they first came in the door, is responsible for repeating back to you what they've understood you told them, otherwise if they just shake their head, yes, then you will assume they've understood you. And you're not going to be rude and second guess them, right? Because after all, they are the "professionals". Long story short when I took a peek, they were almost done and they had done the opposite of what I told the girl at the front desk and what she relayed to the hairdresser. I was in disbelief. I proceeded to question what is it that they didn't understand and immediately all eyes were on me. The hairdrsser stating that's what she was told and the desk girl, now nearby doing someone else's hair, not accepting responsibility instead suggesting that I stick by the chair, pretty much putting blame on me. I went to get a picture of a simple clean men's short cut, which meant the hairdresser would have to "cut hair". I showed the hairdresser. And now I was accused of hovering by the one that had earlier blamed me for not hovering and again all eyes were on me. About 5 hairdressers lingering around all looking at me and I can already tell business etiquette is lacking in this place. I responded with letting her know that i didn't understand why she was upset when I was the customer and she barked back at me that she wasn't upset. In the end an acceptable cut was accomplished, it was miles better. I made it even better by applying some hairspray to the scragglies of misshapen hair that were sticking up, which the hairdresser had made it seem like there was no solution on earth for. The problem I'm having is the unprofessionalism. It's not the first hairdresser I've been to in 40 years but it's the first I've been to in which feedback isn't welcome without getting your head bit off, without the embarrassment of all intimidating eyes on you pretty much Discouraging you from having reasonable expectations. Meanwhile, while I waited, another hairdresser was parading another client, pushing her into a corner and taking pictures. The client had a forced smile on her face. At one point the client mentioned that her hair was starting to droop in front and her concern was brushed aside as if she hadn't said anything. Based on the fact that they only have two reviews here I'm guessing they've gotten away with this kind of treatment of their clientele. Well, I'm here to make sure that starts to change. At the same time I'm doing them a favor, because a smile from any business goes a long way and the phrase "the customer is always right" is also good business. Someone needs to tell them. I'm surprised they've never heard of it. Upon checkout now a different girl at the front desk, one from the bunch that had been sitting around with their piercing stares at me. She didn't smile. Even when I asked about leaving a tip, even when I proceeded to bump up my tab by purchasing products from their establishment, she maintained her stink attitude as if she was smelling her upper lip. Management needs to inform these girls that their paycheck depends on their ability to retain customers. Will not be going back. read more

Went there a few times the staff was great! the owner was rude when my hairdresser only wet my hair and didn't want to charge for a wash but the owner insisted that I was charged for a wash since my hair was wet down...well you lost a customer right there because you are that cheap! It wasn't the money for me but the principle. You discuss this in front of a customer.. yes this happened a couple years ago but I haven't been back since! read more
