Instead, they said they would only come out if the roof needed a full replacement. To me, a company should stand behind the promises made by its representatives, regardless of whether that employee is still there. Customers purchase based on the information they're given, and it's disappointing to hear, years later, that those commitments no longer matter. The roof itself has performed well, but customer service after the sale has been a major letdown. If ongoing inspections are important to you, get every promise in writing before signing a contract. Based on my experience, verbal commitments may not be honored.

I had a problem within a day or two with a scrape on the wall. I called and ask them to send some out to fix it. It wasn't a good experience after that. I finally got someone to come fix the scrape, but noticed after a week that the seams in the shower turned yellow. I had a tarp up there to cover the likely area of the leak. When I finally decided to give up on the possibility of insurance money covering the cost, I got really nervous about how much a new roof would cost me. I have a large home in a well to do neighborhood, which results in companies charging me 2-3 times more then expected, once they enter the gate. I asked neighbors for their recommendations and ended up calling Winter Springs roofing and Collis Roofing. My neighbors got shingles for 70k, my other neighbors tile at 120k and 150k. So you can imagine how stressed I was, planning to pay for this new roof. Both companies came out within days of my request fir a quote, but Collis' estimate took over a week to arrive after the estimator came by. During that time, I was becoming impatient. I started looking for another quote. A friend at work told me about Hodges Brothers. I called, they answered, and they came out the same day! He even offered me an estimate while he was there, saying it would be ballpark that amount and he would confirm after some satellite imaging measurements. I received confirmation within a day or two and the price was so good, I could not refuse. I appreciated that he spoke to me as a friend; we discussed home resale values for tile versus shingle, and I felt very supported in my decision making. They dropped off samples of everything at my home so I could have a look at the materials and colors. Paperwork was done over email and was very simplified. They secured all the permits while I contacted the HOA for approval. Work started within two weeks of the estimate. They removed a the tiles and replaced the roof with a beautiful black shingle in 2.5 days! During that time, they also supervised the wood replacement I needed, as well as the painting of the replacement wood. This was such a nice gesture since I was stuck at work. The work site was cleaned up and never did I have any issue with a flat tire due to loose nails. They were respectful of my property and the landscaping. They even used wood protection under the dumpsters on the driveway. I am very pleased with the result and I would definitely recommend them. I have since received an email from the shingle company for a warranty, all of which they handled. The roof passed all the inspections and was finished faster than I imagined it would be. I used his subcontractors to paint the flashings, replaced wood, and around the eaves as needed. They did great work and finished the job in two days. I also used his subcontractor to repair the damaged drywall on the inside of my home from the leaks. The repair was great. I was so thankful to have all of this done at the same time as the roof. I contacted Kyle to ask if there was any possibility the water could have come In Through the roof. He said he would get back to me. Later that morning I contacted the power company to request inspection of the electric meter. Before I heard a response from the power company, Mark from Honest Abe texted me to tell me he was 90 minutes away and was coming to inspect the roof. I told him we could wait until I found out if the meter had a gap that could've let the water in from the side of the house, but he said he wanted to come and check it out and make sure everything was in order. He didn't have to do this, but he came and inspected the roof which was as expected fine. He did find, a nearly half-inch gap around the electric meter, which is where the water came in during the storms. Mark went to the local hardware store bought a sealant, came back and sealed the area around the meter and checked the inside circuit box to make sure that the water was minimal and it was safe. None of this had anything to do with the roof and yet he insisted that it was an easy fix And resolved the problem. This is a quality company who provide a quality service more importantly, if there's even a question about whether there might've been a problem with the roof stand installed, they sent their technician out immediately, and the gentleman solved an unrelated problem.
