I'm a fan of this Walmart Supercenter in Ashland. It's just around the corner from my hotel where I…read morestayed over the weekend. This Supercenter is smaller than I used to in Texas. But it has everything I needed and more. I have been looking for wheel cover all over the place (I'm not from this area). I felt so lucky to pick one from many selections on the shelf. I actually came here during Tropical Depression 16 on Saturday September 23. Right in the middle of my shopping trip, the rain started to pour. Non-stop for over an hour. I was glad there were no roof leaks at the Ashland Walmart Supercenter. I stayed for as long as I could, like shop till you drop. Employees were friendly and I had no issues (Asians are rarely seen in this part of town). If I stay in Ashland next time, I would come back for fruits to eat at hotel.

Craziest Walmart I've ever been to after 9pm, the reason is because I didn't see any crazy people…read moreor as I like to call them, "Wal- Martians" the whole hour I was there. Like most Walmarts, the employees on the floor aren't very helpful or friendly. They just want to stock the shelves and mind their own business. It wasn't busy, so checkout was fast. We got some local veggies. The tomatoes were red, firm and perfectly ripe! Check out the meat case! I'd steak my life on the quality of their poultry, beef and pork! This mom and pop farmer's paradise has only 5 "aisles" but is stocked with some brand names groceries aand also some one-of-a-kind items. You can also order sandwiches and eat in! There's a little section of shelves with unique gift items. This is a not to miss shopping experience for those who like to shop small and help your local farmers!

There are certain things that I like to grab at a Dollar Tree mostly because I have tried them in…read morethe past and they work as good if not better than brand names. When I run low on them I always make it habit to stop at one where I am near and grab that item before I head home. Nine times out of ten I will also wonder about and browse looking for other items to try out to see if they are worth it. Most times they are and then there are times when I have to drag myself out of the store before I overfill my basket. On this trip I was looking for an item to help me finish up a project at home and I knew that I might be able to find it at a Dollar Tree. I will say that this was probably one of the better put together stores I have been to in a while. Not as messy, shelves somewhat stocked, and easy to navigate. Before I knew it, I had made my way through all the aisles and didn't feel like going back through the store. Made my way to the register to pay and on my way I went.

Stopped by to grab some ice cream as a post dinner treat on my way to an event. I ended up settling on a scoop of the newer cookie 2 step flavor which had brown sugar, cookie pieces and cookie dough! If you like cookies and cream this is a grander version. I also got a scoop of oatmeal creme pie all on a dipped waffle cone. Oh my goodness was this ice cream delicious and the cone just made it all that better. This store is absolutely adorable with fun decor and purchasable items throughout which gives the whole place a fun feeling of whimsy.
