Some even requested just underwear that fit. Their needs were simple, and with the community donating wonderful items Bargain Box was able to make it happen. They are run by volunteers, and every penny goes to clothes for children in need. Everyone that works there is friendly and welcoming. It's so clean and inviting. This is how you run a thrift store, unlike the ones we recently went to in Lancaster, charging outrageous amounts for used things they got for free. Lately, it seems like the store has shifted from offering great closeout buys to stocking cheaper brand merchandise. The excitement of finding something new or getting a great value on regular brands ,just isn't there like it once was. That said, the staff continues to be one of the store's biggest strengths. They're always friendly, courteous, and helpful, which keeps me coming back from time to time. This used to be one of my favorite places to come as I often house sit for clients in the area. I've come here over 100 times probably in the last couple of years, and this is the worst I've ever seen it. When I walked in, I wasn't greeted with a "Hello!" or "Welcome in!" by the cashier, but instead she demanded that I leave my shopping bag from Dollar Tree at the front. When I asked her why, she laughed. I had a wad of cash in my hand, so I'm not sure what the logic behind it was, but it was clear from the outset she thought I was going to steal. Fine, whatever. I just need a couple of fresh produce. Oh wait, the produce section looks like life support is no longer an option. It was so bad that another customer and I were talking about how we never come to this store and we remembered why. All in all, this will be the last time I come to this store. There was a small area of work out equipment which was a nice surprise. 5 lb dumbbells for $5 each. A $5 book section. The stock was a little different from other stores like this. This location in particular is always sold out of everything - the store often has empty shelves and bins. In addition, this location is a mess! The shelves are haphazardly arranged and items are often laying on the floors and in the aisles. You can find great prices on the items that are here. I like to shop here for character items for my kids and for journals or guided writing type books because they are much cheaper than going to Target or Barnes and Noble. Although the store itself isn't in great shape, I always love interacting with the staff at this location. They are always friendly and open to chit chat. Hopefully the opening of the new location will take some of the foot traffic out of his location and allow more time for the staff to organize and stock the sales floor.

They sell other clothing items. They also have scrubs here, so if you're in the medical/dental field and need affordable scrubs, they have them here. They have a little bit of everything for everyone. The staff isn't super friendly, but they always help you if you have questions or need certain items. Prices are pretty good and parking is never an issue. My only complaint is that sometimes people drive like crazy people in the parking lot and there's literally a taekwondo place a few businesses down with kids running into the street here and there and by FoodMaxx and people just don't care, so be safe!
