Very Poor and disappointing communication…read more I placed an order on December 26, 2025 to have my groceries delivered between the times of 10:00 AM and 12:00 PM on December 27, 2025. The notification I received was that my order will be delayed and will be delivered at 1:14 PM which was fine until it was 2:30 PM and the groceries had not been delivered and the app then just says, " Delayed, still in progress." I called Walmart customer service many times and all I get is the AI voice repeating the same scripted message over and over and not providing any real answers. For example, I called for an update status on my order on Sunday, December 27, 2025 at 1:15 PM and the AI voice said, " Sorry for the delay, your order should be ready by 6:00 PM on Saturday, December 26, 2025. I tried to explain to the AI voice that today is Sunday and now my delivery is now over 24 hours delayed. Every time I request to speak to an Associate, the phone just rings and then an automatic voices tells me to visit the website which is also powered by AI and generating the same scriped messages. Here is the dilemma. They have a temporary hold on my card for $205.36 dollars, including delivery fees and driver tips. If I cancel the order, it will take 10 days or more for the money to be available back on my card. The app does not let me reschedule or allow any type of editing or a way to communicate. I have been shopping Walmart for groceries for as long as I can remember. I started doing the pickup when all the lanes went to self checkout because I felt like that I was working at Walmart for free. I decided to do home deliveries because the pickup times kept getting delayed and I was making multiple trips up to the store when the order was finally ready. Now, I see the delivery service is just as bad. I am posting here today to see if there are any customer service associated still employed at Walmart that can help resolve my issue because no one at the stores are answering phones and the app is useless for communication. Shopping at Walmart is starting to be a real inconvenience and I am tired of all the hassle.

I have not been a fan of super stores, as they tend to either get grocery right and everything else…read morewrong, or vice versa. Walmart and Target are two examples of that. Now that I live outside of Chicago proper, I no longer have access to some of the specialty markets and grocery stores I used to frequent. Meijer tends to meet my needs when it comes to grocery, home products, casual clothing, personal care products, and gardening. Two things that stand out the most was their gardening products. I had started gardening, so seeds, plant food, gardening soil, and other gardening items were reasonably priced. Being a pescatarian, there vegetables worked for me. But now that I grow my own, the gardening catalog worked perfectly for me. As to grocery, although there has been spike in grocery prices, they were not as high as I noted at other grocery stores. It helps that I take advantage of coupons, specials, and price reductions thanks to participating in their perks program. This store serves four immediate suburbs, so it tends to get busy on weekends, for sure. I go during the middle of the day when I work from home through the week. I have yet to go and not find what I needed. And because I am a very picky shopper, primarily from the perimeter of the grocery store, I have not been disappointed in what they have.

So I asked the gal at the bakery counter if I could place an order and she looked at me and said 'I don't know if you want to, I guess' . I said 'oh I said if you're busy, I'll come back' . I asked how much time she needed for me to come back and she said I'm the only one here. When I mentioned, I tried to order online. She said I don't know why you're having a problem. We're getting online orders. She was not willing to help me. It was one of the worst experiences I've had at Meijer and Meijer is my favorite store. I just said that I will go to Strack and Van Til to place my order and she said 'fine go do that'. For reference this was Sunday 5:20 PM, June 28.

Subject: Formal Complaint Regarding Service, Product Quality, and Manager Conduct…read more I am submitting this complaint to document a deeply disappointing and frustrating experience at your store that warrants immediate review by leadership. I have been a loyal Whole Foods customer for years, regularly purchasing flowers and groceries, which makes this situation especially upsetting. I recently purchased flowers for my mother, only to have them wither the very next day. My mother was upset, and I contacted the store to resolve the issue. When I spoke with a manager named Mia (possibly spelled Mya), I was told to "bring pictures of the flowers." I found this request insulting and unnecessary -- particularly because she was the one who rang up my purchase and because I have built a consistent, professional rapport with her as a regular customer. Being asked to "prove" the issue felt dismissive and accusatory, as if my integrity were in question. When I returned to the store for a replacement, I was told that I had not been charged for the flowers in the first place -- an error made by the store. Manager Josh then stated that "associates make mistakes all the time." While I understand that mistakes happen, what concerned me was the lack of accountability and the complete absence of any meaningful customer consideration. Despite the inconvenience, the poor product quality, and the disrespectful interaction I experienced, I was not offered a discount, an even exchange, or any gesture of goodwill. To make matters worse, during this visit I purchased additional flowers and an orchid at full price. Even then, no one made any effort to acknowledge the situation beyond repeated apologies. Apologies without action do not resolve the issue, nor do they demonstrate that my loyalty or business is valued. A customer who has been inconvenienced, insulted, and sold a defective product deserves more than empty apologies. Respect is shown through action -- whether that is a discount, a replacement without interrogation, or a simple gesture that acknowledges the customer's experience. As the saying goes, "People don't care unless they know you care." At this point, I did not feel cared for, valued, or respected. In the movie Jerry Maguire, the famous line "Show me the money" became iconic because it represented proof, not promises. I am asking Whole Foods to show me -- through action, not words -- that my business matters. If this is not something your store can demonstrate, then I will take my loyalty elsewhere and make my concerns known. I am requesting a formal review of this incident, including the conduct of the managers involved, and an appropriate resolution that reflects the seriousness of this experience.
