The store is immaculately clean and even though the parking lot looked fuller, it didn't seem busy inside. Most of the shoppers were elderly people. The carts are nice and ergonomic it seems. There was a woman collecting carts from the outside and continually bringing them inside. It seemed darker in this store compared to Walmart and HyVee but everything was very neat and the produce section looked very fresh and neatly displayed. The beef section was more limited and I feel like the butcher would continually bring out a new product as people purchased some. That was what I was there to primarily buy. The rest of animal protein was displayed like other stores. The aisles were wide and neatly organized. They don't have as much selection as Walmart (food) or HyVee but it's a nice neighborhood store. I only saw the butcher, deli worker, shop cart attendant and a woman working the self serve area though. The parking lot is kind of a negative because it's shared with many other businesses in a strip mall so it's hectic.

But this review is more a story about how this place operates. Every Veteran's Day area HyVee's have a breakfast for Vets. My little brother (Army Vet) and I (Navy Vet) go each year. Mostly so we can let the people at HyVee know that we appreciate not only the breakfast but that they as a company and as individuals that VOLUNTEER to work the event, are deeply appreciated. So special shout-out to them for their time and consideration! As for the grocery store itself. It is exactly what you want out of a grocery store. Some of the things I really love: Bright and Clean Huge Selection Meat counter people are really helpful Food counters are usually well stocked and organized. Some things that need improvement: Produce selection. Good Basics but there seems to be no expanded offerings. Also while on produce... they at one time had a lot of the precut onion and veg and did a good job maintaining that. But, that has slipped. Bakery. So many wonderful options. But, there is no one willing to talk with anybody at that counter ever. And the one thing that bugs me about every grocery store... impolite shoppers! Hey, we all want to get in and get out with what we hafta get... we can do so politely and courteously. Look up. Pay attention to what is going on around you. Ask yourself if you are going to be specifically getting in someones way/personal space? The parking lot is still a massive disaster IMO, especially with how it bottlenecks at the entrance, though to be fair to them, I'm not sure what else they could do to fix it. What does work here is that the lot is huge so you'll at least find a spot, even if it's a tad bit stressful getting in and out. Now, why bump my rating up to four stars? Primarily because they've done a really excellent job of continuing to improve this location. Everytime Target seems to come out with a redesign this spot gets it pretty fast, and not only do they implement it seamlessly but all redesigns seem to really work here. Now, this Target is no longer my primary Target, but I do still visit here from time to time and one other thing it has going for it is that I feel like I have fewer issues here in general. It could be the nature of me not coming here as frequently, but I can't think of a time that I've had a negative interaction with a staff member, them being out of stock with something, or waiting too long at checkout. When looking at the different flavors, the woman employee told us "you can only try something if you are buying something" in an extremely rude tone. This was off putting as the point is to try before you buy to ensure you like the product you are getting. I walked in today 11/14 to get a price adjustment, since items I recently bought went on sale. As I…read morewalk to the counter, the cashier is holding the bags you are given after your purchase. She throws them on the back counter and just stares at me. So I say " i'm here for a price adjustment. She looks at my receipt and goes.. "How am I supposed to do that?" I'm sorry... ask your manager? I then tell her, "I don't know how you guys do it here.." I ALSO AM A CUSTOMER. She clearly has an attitude and doesn't want to do her job today. She finally ask for help, one lady comes up, (Very sweet btw) and then the manager comes up. The first cashier says to the manager "she says she bought these products (obviously i did, since i have the receipt) and now she wants a price adjustment for them. Her manager said "Okay." looks at the receipt and looks up at me and says "I'm not sure if someone informed you wrong, but you actually need the products so we can scan them. To make it easier." Which is complete BS. It says nothing about having the products in the policy. YOU just don't want to do your job. Very disappointing
