I told the employee who was monitoring the area and she got Roxanne, the floor manager of the day. Roxanne said that this was my problem and I'd have to call Walmart Tech Support. What the hell? My problem. Then she told me that I had not paid for the $35 bag of dog food and to pay again, which I did. I got to my truck and called my credit card company. They confirmed that I had paid twice. I went back in the store with the credit card agent on the phone. I found Roxanne and told her she could speak with them to confirm that I had paid twice. She declined and took off running across the store, back to the service desk. I followed her and told her that I would dispute the charges. She then said that she'd give my $35 back via a refund. When I called to speak with the manager to report what had happened Roxanne got on the line and pretended to be her own manager. What?! I hung up on her and called again. This time I got someone above Roxanne who said that she would be pulled into an office for a retraining meeting today. The manager was apologetic and seemed aghast by what i relayed to him. I have shopped at this store in Watkins Glen for 15 years and have never had a problem. This was bad. This Roxanne person needs to be retrained or fired. All of this was unnecessary. That's what I get for telling an employee that their machine wasn't working and was sending electronic receipts to the worng customer. Leaves a bad taste in one's mouth!!

A fourth generation dairy farm that excels in cheese and ice cream. We tried the 8 flight. 4 cheeses 4 ice creams. All were delicious. I tried the peach habernero Quark and immediately needed to buy one in the case. Its a super protein and so creamy. I can't wait to pair it with celery sticks for a nice snack. For icecream we tasted the purple cow, peach cobbler, cookies and cream, black cherry chocolate, and the coffee heath crunch. I liked the peach cobbler flavor though wish there were more of the mix-ins. For cheeses, we tasted the butter garlic cheddar curds, the signature Summit Cheddar, and the plain quark. The garlic cheddar curds were so good, I took a bag home with me! Summit cheddar had a nice nutty flavor, not too 'sharp' though. The quark was interesting... it had a rather mild flavor and interesting texture (similar to boursin). I didn't love it, but I didn't hate it. I also took home a bag of the tomato basil cheese curds which I didn't like as much as the garlic ones. The tomato ones had a very subtle flavor-- too subtle. There was a line when we got there though it moves relatively quickly and is definitely worth the wait! The aisles are clean and well stocked. They have a good variety of products. Some things you would not expect to see! For example I have seen dairy free cheese shreds, gluten free crackers, and 647 bread (which is a brand I can usually only find at Wegmans). Their prices of course are one of the best things about shopping here - lately I've been keeping an eye on the ridiculous up and down of things like eggs, and Aldi is almost always the cheapest place to buy them. Employees here are friendly and helpful. If you haven't been to an Aldi store yet then I would highly recommend, and if you have and already know what to expect, this location will not let you down!

Today I witnessed Rebecca stop working her own register (which was loaded with people) to stare at and watch a customer at self checkout. She then proceeded to ask the customer if they scanned their items, ultimately accusing them of stealing. When the customer responds "Yes would you like to come check?" The cashier, Rebecca, declined to check. When the customer was done shopping and went to their car Devon the manager came out claiming Rebecca had sent him and claimed a customer was yelling in her face. Devon waited for the customer to return their cart and then proceeded to go to the customers car and attempted to intimidate the customer. The fact the employees made such a scary experience for someone and then acted like some sort of body guard when the customer was clearly open and willing to have Rebecca come check just shows how this cult of an Aldi functions. I also witnessed several older generation customers using self check out. All of which were not asked if they scanned their items as Rebecca targeted a young adult just trying to do his job and then sent her manager to attack him in the parking lot when she was unsatisfied with her own bullying. I've shopped here a few times as an Instacart Delivery Employee and have not had a problem with this store until today. Employees make or break the experience I guess. Side note: as always with Aldi they have one person working the register with a line of 20people
