I didn't know her or would even recognize her, again... until yesterday. I had in my groceries on the counter a jar of the Decaf version. Alyssa, the checker made a comment about appreciating that they had it in stock now. I said that yes, it had taken awhile, but I was so pleased to find it again, locally. Alyssa mentioned that it was she who sent in a written request on my behalf. I thanked her profusely then left. Before I turned around and got to the door, I returned and asked her if there were little forms that a customer could complete complimenting an employee. She looked and said that they were out of them. Since I try to make it a habit of catching and acknowledging people when they're "good", I asked if there was another way and she mentioned this website. So let it be known ~~~ far and wide ~~~ I believe most of us aim to please and are doing the best we can with all of the health risk issues, angry people, and whining... There are other ready-made hot goods in the deli, and I love their sauces. Staff is always friendly. I also appreciate their array of fresh vegetables for sale, many from local farms.That said, Moothart's, which has operated in the same place for something like 30 years, is in bad need of a scouring, inside and out. It's overcrowded with signs and poorly-displayed stock, and it is dingy from top to bottom. Even so, don't avoid this little store. I've found supplies there -- especially at the meat counter -- that are nowhere else in town.

The woman at the register told me she printed the tag incorrectly and that was for the 2-liter. Ok- no biggie. I asked her to price check the 12 pack on the register and it rung up for $2.49. Score! I went about my shopping and when I got in line to check out the manager (didn't even say hello or who she was or any sort of pleasantry) immediately said "we cannot sell you the starry" and that the "store wasn't authorized to sell it". I tried to tell her the cashier price checked it for me, and she ignored me and TOOK THE CASE OF SODA OUT OF MY CART. Literally moved my things aside and pulled the soda out and walked off. Who does that? She never even once said sorry or provided any explanation. She was a short blond lady with braces. Will NEVER shop there again. Horrible experience!

This is a cute little lavender farm just down from Monmouth. I've been here a couple of different…read moretimes and they seem to love all things lavender. They make some of the items on site themselves and others are purchased to enhance their whole lavender theme. They make chocolates and brownies with lavender infused in them. There isn't a lot of selection of these treats you just have to buy what they have at the moment but that is good enough for me. In the summer they sell lavender infused lemonade which is a refreshing delight. They make lotions there on site that are also infused with lavender. You can buy lavender plants to plant in your own garden but you have to have a greener thumb than I do because I killed two starts I bought a year or so ago. (I'm blaming it on my soil as I do not want to be responsible for an innocent lavender plant life) :) They have lavender tea bags which I have purchased before and they are good but not the cheapest thing on the menu four or five bags for around $6 or something like that. They make really good tea, however, so worth a try if you love lavender like I do. They have many plants on site and will allow you to walk though and pic your own when it's in full bloom. They have much dried lavender available for times like now (autumn and winter) when it is dormant. I would recommend stopping there if you like these types of products. We purchased our halloween pumpkins there and they were fairly reasonable. One caution, bring cash as they do not take any debit or credit cards. It doesn't make mention of checks (who carries them anyway) but I would imagine with the right identification you could probably use one. The first time we were there we luckily had enough cash to make our purchases. We just make sure we have visited an ATM prior to our shopping now. For all your lavender needs. This is the place.

When I was there today two people eating at Burgerville had driven their pickups with fifth wheels taking up the entirety of the Markets parking lot. They should have had them towed.
