"No, but the staff is happy to help you," the woman replied. She went on to tell me that she purchased a practically-new vacuum cleaner for $11. It was an Amazon return, originally priced over $100. The shop is open Thursday through Monday with declining prices each day. On Thursday these wondrous items are $11 apiece; by Monday whatever's left goes for $2. Important to note that everything you buy is final sale. So you get home, and discover the baby bottle warmer you purchased for $9 doesn't work? Sorry Charlie, outta luck.

I couldn't buy my favorite brand of mango nectar, pineapple ice-cream, ham croquettes, spices often used in Latin American food, etc. from anywhere north of Florida. This convenience store is a one stop shop for the hard to find ingredients/foods/items commonly found in Latin American households. They have meat, fresh Cuban bread, fresh produce, canned foods, variety of juices, frozen cut up fruit, cafeteria serving common Latin American meals. Within the shop but slightly separated is even a computer repair area, kitchen necessities like pressure cookers, dominoes, small cigar section and more. Definitely stopping by here often to grab the items regular grocers don't stock up on.

What an experience…read more.. I'm a self-proclaimed thrifting fanatic, and I grew up loving to go to flea markets and priced-per-pound places with my grandma. Maybe it was the heat, but this fleamarket just wasn't hitting when I visited. SETUP: You can really get your steps in here! Park and remember where you parked, then head in. Tons of shops to explore - like miles of it - and it's all covered. It's open air so no AC, but many shops have fans and some have AC running. They have each lane color coded on the floor, so you can remember you started in the red lane, then went to blue, etc. We still got lost haha. FOOD/DRINK: There are restaurants and bars here! Very fun to get a beer to drink while you walk. Most of the food was food truck style - pretty greasy and hot, which didn't appeal to us. SHOPS: This was the disappointing part for me. Maybe it's just not my style, but I was bummed to see it was mostly cheap bulk items and poorly made stuff at that. The t-shirt shops were selling cheap, misprinted Fort Myers stuff - but the prices weren't that crazy good? And they didn't have true tourist stores with souvenirs more than just t-shirts. Some of the shoe stores had some decent deals, a few record store scores, and I LOVED the few well-curated vintage shops inside. But otherwise, it was a lot of stuff I happily passed on. Some of the vendors were a bit pushy (the spa/skincare ones) but otherwise most left us be to browse. Even as a fan of thrifting, I found this to be overwhelming and underwhelming at the same time and likely won't be back.

After giving them information on the items, they quoted me about $200 that I have to pay in order to donate. After calling Good Will back, they don't do pickup any longer and if I want to donate, I have to bring it myself or pay for the pickup. And in return they will sell it for a higher price. I rather leave on the sidewalk and have the garbage collectors dispose of those items or any one that may have a used for them

I didn't check out the clothing on this trip, but definitely will next time. I stuck to housewares and books this trip. The housewares I would say had a large selection, but did feel a little expensive for thrifting. Holiday decor was upwards of $8-$10 for some items. I did find and purchase a set of corelle plates for $12.99 which included 4 large plates, 5 small plates, and 5 bowls. The book selection was also very large and well organized. I looked through the cookbook section and found a book on juicing I ended up purchasing as well. Overall a great trip into thrift here and will be back next time I'm in town!
