I've been following along with Shift on IG for quite a few years now (since they were a coffee…read morecart/pop-up), and I've had them on my list to check out foreverrrr. I'm only in town a couple times a year and I don't always make it to the downtown area. During our most recent visit, we stayed at an Airbnb nearby and I finally got to visit Shift (YAY!)... What a great local coffee shop! The inside is cute & minimal and I loved the mural spanning the space. The staff was super friendly as we perused the menu, and my decision was easy once I saw that they have a seasonal fall menu featuring house made syrups. The carrot cake one immediately caught my eye, and I ordered a carrot cake latte. My husband got the classic pumpkin spice and yep, it was like drinking fall in a cup. It's so cool to see a gem like this reppin' the hometown. Also cool that they brew Bandit Coffee (out of St. Pete) which we are big fans of. Wishing them continued success and I look forward to coming back the next time I'm in the area!

Meyers, a request for Matcha was made and sure enough we spent the early morning yelping for Matcha and found this place. It looks fairly new and is part of an apartment t complex. The place is small, and sure enough the clientele fitted the Matcha seekers that have popped up in all urban areas. There were Lululemon' on display, women with tiny dogs, bodies that should all be on the cover of magazines and foreign cars in the parking lot. My daughter got her Matcha which set her on a high energy mood and excited for the rest of the day, so atleast I got something out of it. I did not want to be seen anywhere near a Matcha place so had my dark glasses on, a cap and stayed close to the entrance. My daughter did order me a chocolate chip cookie to make up for my misery and In all fairness it was really good. My daughter raved about her Matcha hence the 4 stars. So if you are craving Matcha, carry a small dog and fit in Lululemon clothing you have found your match!!

As we entered the lobby the amazing aroma of coffee filled the air. We walked to the coffee shop where we found whole bean house blend organic coffee in bags. We bought a bag. We had been searching to good whole bean coffee since we moved here weeks earlier. Well we knew we found our coffee roaster the next morning when I ground some of the beans for our morning brew. WOW! The coffee was amazing! The next time we need coffee we will stop when we can have a cup there and buy a couple more packages. Your coffee checks all the high quality coffee boxes and then some! My first time here after running from one store to another! I opted for a small Cappuccino and a French Crepes. The Cappuccino could use a little more steamed milk. The French Crepes with Nutella, Strawberry, and banana is simply fabulous! Other pastries like New York Cheese cake, Tiramisu, Napoleon and Chocolate Mouse look so inviting in their display cases. The ambiance is nice, cool, calm and clean. There are several high-top tables inside and several tables outside. Fresh grinded gourmet coffees are available with sandwiches and pastries. The acoustic background music is not loud and has a soothing effect. The staff is friendly and professional. Café In is a nice place to stop while shopping in Edison Mall. Strongly recommended!

I picked my own and thought it was a fun way to try several of their lattes! I believe you can get it hot or iced but definitely dine in if you get this! I also got a breakfast crepe which was delicious, crispy, and filling. My husband got a bagel sandwich which was also huge! We loved everything we got and the menu is big enough that you could come several times and try new things. They have a back area with tons of seating too. Lots of folks were working on laptops and there were a few dogs. It was a bit pricey but seems par for the area. Overall, I'd definitely add this to my list of favorite spots in Fort Myers!

I always try a Mocha at a new spot - the taste did not disappoint! Really delicious and well made, I have a few "special order asks", oat milk, half sweet, etc. And the barista did well. 4/5 due to price. I paid nearly $11 for a mocha that I pay $5 at Dean's, within the Luminary downtown (which is organic coffee) and even Starbucks is $8 something. Too pricey for local coffee when there is lots of new competition out there!

They have lots of fun coffee options, including creative seasonal drinks, and most of the pastries are made in-house. We've tried several items so far and have enjoyed everything. If you visit on a Sunday, it's cinnamon roll day! They offer four different flavors, and of course we had to try all four. Each one was unique and absolutely delicious. Rize Café has quickly earned a spot in our regular coffee shop rotation, and we're looking forward to coming back again.

Unfortunately, the $18 "chef special" shrimp tacos were very disappointing. The menu photo looked fresh and vibrant: diced onions, cucumbers, peppers, a nice salsa. What came out was the complete opposite. The shrimp were cold, inconsistent (some with tails, some without), and the vegetables were grilled and soggy instead of fresh. There was also no dressing, which made the dish feel unfinished. Don't get me started on the hash browns. Overall, the experience didn't match the expectation at all.
