The products are familiar brands; it is stocked nicely and cleanly; and they even have a legit produce and cold case that rivals Grocery Outlet. Not quite but almost. I never would of walked through these doors, if my dear aunt, who is now retired in this area, raved about this place to me a while back ago. So for her birthday, along with a cake and some goodies, I wanted to get her some gift cards from here. It was a little bit of a run-around getting them, as some cashiers were clueless about them, but I was able to get them on my second try in another line. Of course since I was there, I browsed the aisles for a bit just to get an idea. I ended up getting a few things that was on my list for the month anyways. Here are some finds: +Brand name galore. This definitely used to be a Kmart or some sort. I was there for at least 20 minutes, and I still didn't touch 70% of the store. It's that big. Out of curiosity, I found one of these in my town and checked it out. No where near as large, this was triple the size. And I think it contributes to their store being much cleaner, less damage and rummaging done to it. Now you will have to endure certain things, like long lines and the occasional drama that people who dollar stores attract bring. But that is not a big deal for me, it is part of what you sign up for, when walking through these doors. We were greeted by one worker that was stocking upon walking in, once it was time to check out nobody was there, so I looked around and seen 3 woman working, but just talking and said I could self checkout.. But I'm hella old or at least I feel like it, so when I turned around and seen the self checkout... Thankfully the same girl who greeted me upon walking in, checked me out. So that was appreciated! They always seem to be of good quality, and that's what matters to me. I found my drinks and some curry packets for the person who lent me their car. I found a tablet that will help me work on my writing with a brush that I haven't done for years. I even bought something that I am using for a napkin holder. Things generally don't cost $1.00 and they're not always on the dollar (e.g. 1.00, 2.00, 5.00). I was shopping for drinks during this visit, but I often find a variety of food items that I like and they were the first national retailer I saw to handle Philly's Tastykake brand that I missed so much. Their price on Tide Pods is good. One thing they do is to give you a coupon within the receipt for a future Saturday. You will get something like $5 off of $20 (or more) purchases on that date. Service was friendly and the store, while not a paragon of organization, was generally orderly--better than Walmart. Besides, I have two Dollar General stores in walking distance, which definitely increases their value to me.
