We were en route on a day trip to hang out near a river in the area and decided to make a quick stop here. This Grocery Outlet is impressively big. Not sure if it was a supermarket before also but the space is quite large. You've got everything in it like other Grocery Outlet stores. I saw a good meat cold case, lots of snacks esp chips and cookies which are my go-to's, I checked out the freezer aisle and saw a good amount of ice cream and popsicles for the hot days this summer. All in all, this is a solid store with lots of selections and the prices were the same or better than other grocery outlet stores as they had a special 99c section of their clearance items and they had other specials throughout the store too. Specifically, I got me some rice paper for spring rolls and some peanut butter which is a big stable at my house for protein balls and of course PBJ sandwiches for the kiddos when they need some quick energy on the go. read more

Adj: Well stocked and Well organized Store This Lodi store was impressive to me as a regular GO shopper locally in my area of South Sacramento/Elk Grove. It was, first of all, one of the biggest stores I've been in. It was well stocked and had the one item that I couldn't find a several stores in Sacramento and Elk Grove, but that's not why I came here. We were going on a little family field trip and it wasn't too much of a detour to stop by here so I decided to make the stop. In any case, this store has the cheese, deli items, meats, dairy, eggs, produce, snacks, pantry items, health & beauty, and everything else other locations have plus they still had quite a bit of the seasonal spring gardening tools and essentials left too. There were also displays of some backyard patio furniture. Overall, this was a nice big and clean and well organized and well stocked store. There are not too many GOs in the central valley, vs in Sac area or the Bay area, but this one does seem to fill a niche and a need. I normally enjoy my shopping experience here, but unfortunately, they have a manager named Jose. Not sure if he's new or what, but I've never seen him before, and he was extremely disrespectful and unprofessional. I purchased some items, and one of those items was 1lb ground beef, which was not expired but upon opening was rotten for sure. The smell was horrible. I tried to just either get it replaced or refunded, but he did not want to help in any way whatsoever. I've never heard of a business being that rude and that unprofessional, especially coming from management. read more

Worst Grocery Outlet I've ever been to! Twice, they failed to give me the 20% off of my wine purchase during their wine sale. I brought the receipt to them the next day and they said there was nothing they could do about it. I've had other issues at this store, but this morning's purchase takes the cake. I bought a pkg of Wagyu beef and another of Kobe beef. I should have looked at the expiration date but when something expires, shouldn't it be taken off of the shelf, or at least marked down so the consumer is aware that the meat is old? The Kobe beef expired 7 DAYS ago and the Wagyu expired today....ridiculous! read more

I'll never go back. Due to a medical condition I need to use the restroom more frequently. My bladder just doesn't hold a lot. The previous owners allowed restroom use for customers who asked. The people who worked there were nice, and understanding. Not anymore. I was just treated pretty darn poorly, and left humiliated over asking to please use their restroom. Even exclaiming that I have a weak bladder. "NO RESTROOMS FOR THE PUBLIC!!! The manager with a raised voice replied as she shuffled away not wanting to hear anything more from me. I just turned around and left the store. Have some humility, specially for long time paying customers. I'll pay an ever so slight premium in order to be treated like a human being. They have a nice selection with very reasonable prices to start out in a fresh apartment living. They have the necessities that we needed. The staff was helpful and helping us maneuver around the store. They have a wide variety of vegan/vegetarian and natural/organic options that would cost a fortune at Whole Foods but cost next to nothing here. And the NOSH items aren't even knockoffs - they're exactly the same food products that Whole Foods sells (Amy's, Beyond, Impossible, Daiya, SoDelicious, Silk, Gardein, Chao, just to name a few) - but at a fraction of the cost. They also have a lot of offerings from newer natural foods companies like Rebellyous and Future Meat (a Brazilian plant-based "meat" company that offers the best plant-based tuna I have ever eaten). I have been shopping here for years with my 2 kids. I regularly spend $200 a week on groceries here. Today I was with my son who had to use the restroom while we were shopping and I already had a cart full of groceries. Apparently the store is under new management and the blanket policy is that no one can use the restroom. Not even a small child who is going to wet their pants. We have shopped here for YEARS- we will never shop here again, we drive out from Rio Vista. We haven't been in a few months because we had a new baby, we decided to drive out this morning. We had a budget of $400 that we were gonna spend at this grocery store and we were not allowed to use the bathroom. I have a baby and two toddlers we drive 40 minutes to get here and grocery shop and we can't use the bathroom? Why does the staff have to be so nasty? Not speaking or making eye contact hurts business. The guy with the facial jewelry is the worst of them all. Rings you up with a scowl on his face, and walks away without ever saying a word. No bagging, no comments, just angry attitude. He didn't ask about the bag, or receipt, he set it down, walked out the store, sat down and had a cigarette. But, it's not me, he treats everyone like that. Most people who have experienced him this past couple of years avoid him or the store and that's obviously what he wants. Now they've hired a younger version of him, and he's picking up those same bad habits. They need to be periodically evaluated for customer engagement. read more

Very clean and organized store. They don't have "everything" or every brand.... that's the main reason for the missing star. They have so much stuff to choose from, but again it may not be the exact brand. Lots of great deals. We bought "ice" sparkling flavored drinks for $.50 when they are normally $1-1.20 every where else even on sale. We bought cookies and crackers for anywhere from 30-50% cheaper than from our normal grocery stores There are organic, gluten free choices to pick from. Bought lean ground beef for a much more reasonable price. Decent fruits and vegetables.... just not everything I'm normally shopping for. Helpful workers. There are many positives about this store that keep me coming back. For the most part, prices are good. It's kind of fun to stroll the store and see what you might find that you didn't know you needed. I have some staple items that I like to buy here. But there are a couple of things that keep me from giving this a 5-star review. The first being that the cashiers are generally never friendly. Not a hello or any conversation. Just asking if you want a bag. It would be nice to have a friendly hello. But aside from that, my only real complaint is that on more than one occasion, the bread I purchased turned moldy after a day. The first time I brought it to their attention, I was told that they wouldn't replace it without my receipt. I had a mobile copy showing I scanned it to a receipt app, but they didn't honor that. Thinking it was just a random occurrence, I have continued to buy my bread products there. I have now had a second loaf (different kind of bread than the first time) turn moldy right away. I called to bring it to the attention of the manager. The manager didn't want to take the call I guess, and the employee said I need to keep receipts if I want to bring it back. I've never kept a grocery receipt after a store purchase in my life. If I have ever had a food product issue, the store easily recognizes that it's their product and replaces it. So keep your receipts from here or they will not help you. The bread prices aren't really a bargain anyway, so I'll buy elsewhere now. read more

There are some good prices on a lot of items and this was a good place to stop and get a lunch when I worked near by and it's been a couple years since I stopped by so I came today and found good stuff. My problem is with stock team blocking aisles so you can even go down. They look you up and down and go back to work. I get they have a job so instead of dealing with it I just went around. My biggest issue is with the older Hispanic woman who still works here because she has ALWAYS had the worst attitude. Someone asked her in a NORMAL tone how much the price of a detergent was and they were told to ask the cashier to scan it. Instead of helping her this worker gave her attitude and then when the customer tried to clarify what she wanted the cashier responded with don't raise your voice at me. As a witness she never raised her voice. Sad to see this workers attitude has never changed. The cashier who rang me up didn't greet me. Didn't ask if I wanted bags. Didn't tell me my total. A couple years ago we tried to return some bad food with the receipt and the cashier Le Ann was so rude and refused to do it. We quit shopping at the lodi store and went to elkgrove or stockton, they're way friendlier. We started going to lodi again. I bought 180 dollars worth of stuff. I bought some salmon. When I opened it it was bad,Today I went in to return the bad salmon and le Ann refused to return it and said we were kicked out of the store. We never spend under 150.00 but I guess they don't want my money I just hope nobody eats the bad salmon it can be deadly. I don't know why she is so rude. First time ever entering the store and I was singled out. Was asked rudely from far away by an employee to keep my bag upfront while every person around me had a bag with them. I was definitely singled out and basically judged by either my sex, race, or what I was wearing by the employees. I asked why am I the only one asked to do this and pointed to a few other customers with bags bigger than mine. Was told it's a store policy. I guess if you're not a certain race with a certain look, it's your stores policy to assume I'm going to steal. Please train your employees to implement your store policy on all customers, not just the race they don't like. read more

Today I visited my local grocery outlet like I do at least once a week. However, this trip I was treated like absolute shit by the cashiers completely ignored while she chitchatted with her other coworkers including a manager on duty at the time I was completely ignored, left at the register, not told what was going on while she signed off, hopped on the register right next to it, never saying anything just leaving me there with my stuff on the line. Completely rude as shit, the one who I later find out is the manager on duty I said well that was rude of her. She said oh me I had to go sign off the other register well number one you could've told me that you were taking over the register number two she should've said something to me I didn't need attitude from both of the employees when I'm just trying to pay for my items. Yet they had another cashier that was right next to the register she was signing off of not checking anybody that they could've said oh, I'm sorry this lane is close now even though the light was still on and they could've taken my items to the register that was open instead of ignoring me that was rude AF then tried to lie to me about who the store manager is. After finishing my workout at Planet Fitness, I just walk over to Grocery Outlet and get the things I need for later on in the day instead of driving and stopping the west side of lodi which is my route to go home. I sure save time and money and they have a pretty good selection of items at very good prices. I even bought grass fertilizer. The staff are great and very helpful like Shelby O. and Carmen. This place is awesome. My trip today I saved $112.00. I was so amazed by the organic, healthy and gluten free options. Prices cannot be beat. The customer service is great too. Asking any of the employees if a certain item was available, mind you everything I wanted was here, the staff knew exactly where items were and pointed out the aisle and number with a smile. I was so disappointed today with my shopping experience. I stopped in to get a drink and decided to buy some kombucha. I was pretty happy because they had my favorite kombucha brand for $0.79. I get up to the cashier and she doesn't greet me and has a miserable look on her face. She tells me that my total is $2.75. I was surprised and asked her why it was this price. She just stared at me and says well it's $2.75. I said well on the shelf, it says $0.79. So she calls for a price check. One of the other employees yells back that I'm right, but it's because the employee stalked the shelf before changing the price sign. So the lady looks back at me and says oh well it's $2.75. Our bad. I asked her why they aren't honoring the price on the shelf? She seemed to be so off put by my question so I just turned around and left. What I don't understand is how this is my fault? Last time I checked, when a price is reflected incorrectly on the shelf, it is honored because that is a mistake on the stores part. I won't be coming back to this grocery outlet location because there are other places I can go to where I'm treated better. The owners of this store should revaluate their employees and how they treat customers. The cashier had a terrible attitude and so did the rest of the employees. read more
