No better how hard you work something is always wrong if your in there click than you will make it if your not you won't be. FACTS customer's aren't treated the best a lot of people that in management don't know how to manage. The tension in the building is way to much and definitely not healthy but people do what they have to do to survive so you have to deal.

Stop Racially profiling people of color, Food City!…read more Worst Grocery Store Ever! Was at a state park (Falls Creek Falls State Park) in TN. Asked a staff member at the park if there was a grocery store near the park that accepts Apple Pay. They mentioned @FoodCity, Crossville, TN. Decided to drive to Food City but found a #FoodCity closer in #CookevilleTN. Entered the store, picked up a banana and a prepaid Visa gift card. Proceeded to checkout lane to pay for items using Apple Pay. I asked for $700 to be placed on visa gift card. The Assistant Manager (Danny Whitson) was called and came to the register. He asked for my DL. I shared it with him. After carefully looking at my DL, he said "I am not giving you any money." Shortly thereafter another guy -- husky, short, mid 50ish came to the register, looked up at me and asked for my DL. I asked who are you? He seemed belligerent and pulled out a ID card wallet from his pant pocket and hurled it on the counter. I looked at the paper card-it read "Steven Houston, Loss Prevention Security, District Mgr, Knoxville TN, Food City." The cut out paper card was neatly tucked inside a well worn ID card wallet. After carefully inspecting my DL he, Steven Houston stated "we are not giving you any money." I asked why? The AM-Danny Whitson again stated "you are not getting any money." They both repeated this several times in unison as shoppers began to notice me. The security guard left the the counter. I took my iPhone and begin recording the incident and noticed there was a huge recording monitor right above the counter/my head. The AM walked away from the counter and followed the security guard who noticed I was filming them and hid in a corner of the store. Several minutes later the AM comes out of hiding and walks back toward the counter. He passes right by me as if I were invisible. I said sir, he comes back to the counter. I asked why am I being denied the right to use #ApplePay? He, Danny Whitson- AM looks at me and ask me to "leave the store." I was in shock and asked to speak to the General Mgr he asked why. I replied it feels like I'm being selectively targeted. I decided to leave and upon leaving the store, I mentioned to Mr. Whitson I would be sharing the video I recorded on social media, which he replied "You can't do that w/o my permission." 5-10 ft away from exit door I was approached/swarmed by (3) police officers. One officer stated they received a call from FoodCity that "someone was trying to get a bunch of money and was acting suspicious." I explained to the officer what happened and while speaking to that officer another officer interjected in a semi aggressive posture and demanded "I get out of the store, leave now." I felt threatened and feared for my personal, physical safety surrounded by (3) police officers. I left that store almost running thru the parking lot. Parked across the street from #FoodCity and broke into tears. I must've cried for about an hour until my eyes were so swollen I could barely see. I felt crushed, hurt, humiliated and terrified from this event. Called corporate office several times, no response I'd like to know why was I denied the right to use ApplePay. Why was I asked to leave the store when I did nothing wrong. Who made the decision to call the police and why were they called, and when did " $700 become a bunch of money?" I believe I was racially profiled because I am a person of color.
