This is a great small town grocery (in the Kroger family). The store is laid out logically and small enough that finding things is easy. I come here for dry goods and usually find what I need. The pies looked delicious in the bakery today. Prices are reasonable. The produce could be fresher with a larger selection. Today, I scored 99 cent per pound zucchini and was able to find fresh sage. But cucumbers did not pass the freshness test for me. In the spring, they offer a beautiful selection of perennials and annuals....better quality than some nurseries and larger centers. The store is conveniently located off 31 just north of the Outlet mall. There is plenty of parking.

Now with the stay at home order of quarantine and social distancing they have stepped up to help us seniors by offering home delivery. We have used their service twice so far and will probably continue to do so. The online ordering is simple to complete and their list of available items is fairly extensive. Some name brand items are unavailable but their generic items are comparable in quality. Also you cannot get wine or beer in home delivery which was expected. I wasn't able to get name brand pet food but was satisfied with the store brand. The turn around time is what surprised me. Our first order was delivered the next day and our most recent order came the same day we ordered it. They didn't have to substitute any items. Thank you Aldi.

I enjoy shopping there I've been shopping there for quite some time now. Only thing I don't like is sometimes they don't have the electric carts so I try to shop early in the morning so maybe I can get electric cart. So if you ever in the neighborhood of downtown Indianapolis stop by Kroger's on East Michigan Street they have great values great products or you're not shopping just stop by and tell them what a great and wonderful job they're doing. Not sure if I like all the liquid but I did like the flavor. And it was only 200 calories. If you've never had a cake like this I would definitely recommend trying it. And they had other flavors if chocolate isn't your thing. Would also recommend going to the customer service desk and signing up for a Kroger card so you can get the sale items. Chanced on them filling TWO end caps facing a back wall across from toothbrushes. Only one brand option with lousy reviews. Prepackaged salads? FOUR different locations in produce. Nowhere near each other, so can't compare, and no dupes. So if you need to compare them? No way to do that. Taco seasoning? Found one brand with one envelope left. No other Mexican options. Some of the most common items have so little shelf space dedicated to them that they are often empty (like bread? Really?) Cheeses are in FOUR locations. While many items have only one brand option and minimal shelf, others are given waaay too many locations (I found frozen chipotle salmon in FOUR locations today but never found basmati rice. ONE brand of jasmine rice in mammoth bag, NO other rice. No rice? My back is killing me, I am missing things I need to complete ten different dinner options, and never found 8 items on my list out of 35, so I can't believe I am contemplating this, but I may switch to Aldi's. Aldi's? Really? Have you seen their meat and produce sections? Nearly every aisle was blocked with carts abandoned from re-shelving, so we couldn't get around. Aldi is my favorite grocery store! This store location is convenient because I often times stop on…read moremy way home from work if I need a few things. I've never done a full shopping trip here. When I have come in for the few things that I needed they've always had them. The one thing I love about Aldi is that their stores are all set up very similarly so you aren't spending all your time at a new location trying to find what you need. This store hasn't been updated like some of the others in the indy are but its still an excellent store. Parking is always easy (could be because I go at about 730 at night). Their staff is always friendly and lines are always well managed (which could be again because of the time I visit this location). A few things about Aldi, if you've never shopped here: -bring a quarter for your shopping cart (if you don't have one you can always go inside and borrow one from the cashier). Aldi does this to keep carts out of the parking lot (which helps keep their prices lower because they don't have to pay someone to fetch carts. -bring your own shopping bags, or be prepared to pay for either plastic or paper bags or you can gather empty boxes throughout the store to manage and transport your items (another way Aldi helps keep the price of their items down) -if you have a question, don't expect to call in on the phone for an answer because they don't keep someone at a desk to answer phone calls (another way to keep their cost down because they aren't paying someone to sit at a desk to answer calls that are few and far between) Try Aldi out because you are guaranteed to have lower prices with the same if not better quality of food. Aldi also stands behind their double replacement guarantee if you are unsatisfied. They will 1. refund you as well as 2. replace the item.
