Family told me about this place and low & behold they have a large variety of meats at a reasonable price. Navigating the store is a bit cumbersome has they have it set up to flow a certain way. Other than that, for it to be on the smaller side of grocery stores it packs a lot of stuff from the butchered meat, to liquor, to seasonings. I had to do two laps to take it all in and stay to my grocery list, not randomly picking up stuff to purchase. Ultimately I picked up a few of their custom made brats, oxtail, and wings. The oxtail came out to $17 for what normally cost a bit more in other stores in other states. The wings prising wasn't bad either. So I'm definitely going to be back for that wagyu steak and other meats from the butcher area. Overall impression of Lowery's is high. Employees were friendly, they had a variety of goods, prices were reasonable.

Theft went up which then they had to get security cameras put up in parking lot and extra security in store. Twice within a month I saw people stealing. First time some thug walking out with his arms full of beer and liquor. Second time two carts full of groceries and toys. Just walking right out like it's what they were supposed to do. It's probably why Walmart had to close. Theft. Meijer is now dirtier than it used to be. It's never stocked well. The produce department is sub par. And there's just loud and obnoxious people all over. I will say that the lady that is in charge of self check out is great. The people at the deli counter are nice as well.

Most of their produce is also already packaged so you cannot get the amount that you need and it's packaged in styrofoam. You also cannot bring your own bags or scan and bag your groceries. I will say they were the first place I found hop water so that was a plus. If I need a lot of groceries or specific things, I'll pay for delivery from another grocery store further away.

To my surprise I was super shocked. They had a lot of items even new stuff you see in big box grocery stores. From were I'm from the pricing reminds me of a IGA. PLUS I need to say they are all SUPER friendly, place is clean, nice liquior selection. Plus my husband is lactose intolerant they even had his milk here. Plus another score is there is a Dollar general near by to. So this is gonna save me tons of time. I'll be back all month long. BTW seen the comment of bad produce... It looked pretty fresh to me !!!
