The Cicero store is no exception. On a recent visit I picked up the Latin Flank Steak bowl. Since I love Wegman's so much, my expectations were high, though this one left me a bit disappointed. The steak was grizzly and chewy. In fairness, the label said it could be served either cold or heated. Since I wasn't at home, heating wasn't an option. If you decide to give this one a try, I don't recommend it cold. Plus, at $16.00 for one serving, it was certainly no bargain. The store ambience is pleasant, but the quick service isn't so quick. In years past, you could pay for your order at the grab and go section, avoiding the regular checkout line. No more. This was particularly disappointing, given employees were just standing around (something I don't often see at Wegman's). With some tweaks to the service model and an upgrade to the flank steak, Wegman's can meet Customers' expectations (and maybe let them forget the steep price per serving).

I go weekly for their selection of eggs, yogurt, butter and coffee. ZERO STARS... The…read morepersonal shoppers practically run you over when you're trying to shop here first off. So I take a two year old car in to get tires on, fine. Got them done, they scratched 3/4 rims. Got to talk to Clayton, unfortunately, the heavily-tattooed automotive manager... He proceeded to follow me outside to take a look at the rims. He kept downplaying the damage, wiping at deep gouges with a microfiber cloth. I finally stated "I should have known better than to bring my car here". Boy, did he lose it. My elderly father with Parkinson's was standing six feet away as he said "What did you say?!" Multiple times, getting in my face. He then accused me of harassing his employees, but there was no one in the parking lot. Maybe he should be tested for substance abuse..? I finally had to apologize because I thought he was going to physically assault me in front of my poor father, who couldn't believe his eyes. After things calmed down, he wanted me to bring the car in so they could "try to buff it out". I looked online and it says Walmart has nothing to do with tire rim repair...I had an appointment and didn't show up. I didn't feel like being verbally harassed again. I called the store Manager Mary Weed later that day and she was completely dismissive, almost silent. She didn't say it directly, but the gist was basically what should she do about it? Anyways, I heard she got a nice bonus for getting the store reopening done in time! That's all she cares about! If you can at all avoid it, shop at Wegmans or Aldis locally for groceries. If you HAVE to go to Walmart there is one in Liverpool and one in Central Square that aren't as bad. WHATEVER you do, if you CARE about your CAR don't bring it to Cicero NY WALMART!!!

I avoid it completely on peak weekend hours. Honestly I don't shop at Wegmans much in general as prices are hiking in this economy, and I just find it more convenient to go to closer stores. This is more of a "run in and grab a brand name thing quickly" kind of place. Still, convenient and nice to have this option. Staff here is generally friendly as well, and I appreciate that their checkout lines are always well-manned and move quickly.
