The store is huge, and usually well-stocked and clean. There's a Starbucks kiosk inside, which is a plus. A bit on the pricey side for my tastes, but not so different than other other grocery stores I suppose. However, whenever I pop in here, they never seem to have enough registers open. Price chopper has a wonderful array of products local domestically important and international. There's always a weekly sale to entice you to come and shop. A friendly face has generally welcomed me and helped when I was in need. The produce is fresh and is everything in the meat and seafood departments plenty of parking . This store is close to my daytime employment, and I frequent it for lunch. I have always received top notch and friendly service, better than that of the store closer to my home in Cicero, NY. Fresh salads made to order are reasonably priced, and I love their fresh cooked seafood, which is never greasy, made quickly, and always served with a smile. Great staff in the hot foods, fresh salads, and seafood departments, as well as cashiers. In the grocery aisles, they are always well-stocked with sale items and rarely run out of a particular flavor or style of item. read more

This is a great store! Price chopper is my favorite grocery store chain: the store is clean, well organized, and the staff are very nice. The product is better quality than tops and the prices are better than wegmans. The best deals are available if you sign up for the loyalty card: you get storewide discounts, extra coupons based on your shopping habits, and can accumulate gas points. They take manufacturers coupons and post extra in their weekly circular. My only complaint is that the lines are ridiculously long, and they don't fully staff the front end, which would solve the long lines issue. The bottle return area is also gross. The gas points are overall better than Tops' program. The premise is the same: $100 in purchases = $0.10 off per gallon, and the points do expire after a few months. However, you can spend the points at any participating Sunoco, which are up and down Erie Blvd. They also do months of gas point promos, where you can earn 2x-4x the points between certain dates (which are usually a month or longer). The caveat with that is you need to call price choppers customer service line to activate the deal on your card. read more

This is my favorite grocery store. Aisles are large and they sell awesome things like thin chocolate wafer crackers, lemon cream cheese, Romeo and Juliet olive oil and artisan cakes. They sell unique ice cream cakes in fun shapes (football, watermelon shaped). They have a section by the bagels where they have "local" goods like Dinosaur BBQ sauce. They have sushi, lots of fresh flower options and a discount savings card. Only complaint is that the donuts section was empty when I came (though they do have plastic boxes with packs of donuts in the back section). read more

I love the food so much better than other stores where they don't give you choices of brands because they want you to buy their packaged brands,which I think suck! Anyway I haven't been happy there lately,because of so many customers not wearing masks and the management turns a blind eye to. People coughing and getting way to close to me. I won't be going there anymore because of these people ignoring the sign on the door to wear a mask and then the management not enforcing it. I will drive out to Cicero or Westavale from now on. I like going to Price Chopper because they have good sales and the points either get you money off of gas or groceries. They are also cheaper for somethings than other stores too. I'm not a fan of the lay out, but I think that's because I'm not use to it. Some of the employees have attitudes, when I was in there Sunday I used the self check out (love those) and the girl working that area was rude. I needed help and said excuse me and didn't even look at me just said wait. Then I told her I scanned something twice and she say fixed it without asking what it was and she took the wrong item off. When I tried to explain it her she was rude. Her customer service skills need work. read more

I just moved up here from Long Island. Why is it so hard to slice deli meat thin? I don't get the issue. I ask for paper thin, they show me something that's 1/8" thick. Then they give attitudes when I ask for even thinner. We go through this for several minutes until they get something that is close to what I want. Then, when I get the meat home, it's nearly back to the 1/8" it originally started out with with a few thin slices on the bottom. I have to drive a half hour for this? In case you haven't noticed, meat prices are high. On top of that, I have an autistic sister who mostly eats cold cut sandwiches with 3 slices. I need to spread it out. I can get 3-4x as many sandiches if they'd just slice it thin, the way I asked. At 1/8", it's a couple of sandwiches. read more

This place is a shittier, cheaper alternative to Wegmans, but it's a pretty big store, and seems reasonably well stocked. Employees are either chill and friendly, or lazy as shit and super rude. Hard-working, not so much. (After the self-checkout machine specifically says to press the credit button, which doesn't exist) "Um, press the cancel button for credit, it's, kind of, um, a universal standard for those machines" Dude, sometimes pressing the cancel button cancels the whole transaction and locks the machine up. It's not my fault your life sucks, politely show me how to use your confusing machine like a man. read more

Ummm, is the store SUPPOSED to smell like dead fish when you walk in? If so... Bravo! If not, well, perhaps it's time to figure it out. Actually, I think I already did - they have a recycling area in the portico/entryway in the front, which accommodates all types of recycling. Don't get me wrong - I DO love that they have it, ans support recycling big time, but methinks it is creating the unGodly smell. Not all items people recycle have been rinsed, cleaned, etc. And thus, dead fish smell. Most likely. Not sure what the solution is, but it sure needs one. Big time. OK, so once I got past the dead fish smell, the actual store itself was just OK. Seemed cheap (although all I bought was Gatorade) and appeared to have everything a grocery store is expected to have. I have been here a handful of times. It's a big store and they have Bakery, Bagel Factory, Specialty Cheese, Deli, Seafood, Custom Meat, Florist, Bottle Returns. Employees are friendly bad helpful. It's not a favorite store but in an emergency, it's there. read more

I've been here for a while now. I do not understand the reviews that seem to exude hate of this place. It's ordinary, average, usual, standard, and okay. But that's fine with me. I don't ask for bells and whistles in a supermarket, and I never have. This place meets what I need, and then some. Good selection of produce? Check. Good prices? Check. Chicken thighs, hot italian sausage, ground pork? Check. Orange juice, milk, and Chobani?? Check. That's it. All while making you feel good for saving some money on gas as you accumulate towards your reward threshold (that unfortunately barely saves you any money). Of course I prefer Wegmans. Big store. I think there trying to be more like wegmans in some ways. For the most part there produce looks good. I was there a week ago . They put a bunch of bagged carrots out that were in rough shape. They have lots of good deals. They double coupons to a dollar. They take other competitors coupons. Which helps so much when your trying to save money. This is one of the main stores I shop at. This store is open 24 hours which is convenient when you work alot . It's always quite at night less people which I like. read more

Since I work overnight, I generally visit the store at night time when there is no self-checkout open. Overnight cashiers seem to enjoy their job a LOT more than ANY cashier that I have encountered during any daytime visits to the store. During the day, I try to avoid the checkout and use self-checkout whenever possible due to the negative attitudes I have encountered while checking out during the daytime. I understand that being a cashier is not the most glamorous job, but you are the face of the company, and if I had to base my opinion of a company on the cashiers, I would never set foot in this store again. Thankfully, service department and produce department members have been over the top in their ability to assist me when needed, and seem to genuinely enjoy what they do. Cashiers who speak about their 'baby's daddy' and what 'dirty hoe' is going to get 'smacked' next is a) none of my business and b) not anything that should be discussed while you are on company time. This store would get 5 stars if they retrained their entire front end to better represent the company. read more

Great subs but every time I order one they have to leave the counter for avocados and bacon. I wait at least 15 mins for my sub to get made and they never charge me the correct amount. I would never get any other toppings because they look so dried out. I don't think anything is replenished daily or refrigerated. read more

Price Chopper is a great grocery store to pick up some food on a budget. I would recommend getting the advantage club card to save even more on the great deals they have. Make sure to check out their seafood and deli counters every time you go to see the great deals that they have. read more

I visited the Erie Blvd location on 8/24/15. I was extremely IMPRESSED with all the changes and upgrades! The store was immaculate, the shelves were full and neat, and the floors were shining. The aisles were clear with no clutter. I enjoyed a cup of Starbuck's coffee from the mini cafe they have right inside one of the entrances. I also purchased a delicious blueberry muffin from the bakery to go with it. Everyone was friendly at the check out. I used the service desk to buy Fair tickets. There were only 4 ahead of me, and the clerk who waited on me was extremely friendly. And, I have 30 cents off my next gas purchase. Doesn't get much better than that! Well....the prices are lowish, there are a lot of two-fers and such. There's nothing really 'wrong' with this store, but every one of them DOES smell bad, somewhere in the store - the fish case especially. Twice I've bought pork chops that were green underneath and had to be returned. Hamburger turns gray within minutes. They advertise low low low meat prices, say for a roast, but the meat in the meat aisle is either sold out completely or is hidden away in the butcher case! The designer breads look great but don't taste very good...But it is rather cheap to shop here. The problem I have: sensory overload, and not in a good way. Aisles too narrow and crowded. Too many signs with prices like "buy one for $2.67, get two for $5.31". Huh? Too many signs, period. Too many tables and racks of random stuff scattered around. Almost impossible to find items I come in for quickly. They don't carry certain must-buy brands that I always use (like my kitty's one brand of kibble, my husband's one brand of shampoo or toothpaste), and their own store brands are mostly 'meh'. At certain times of the month, you can barely push your cart around as it's so crowded, and then you have to wait FOREVER in the checkout lines. So, I would say it's cheapish, you get what you pay for, but overall an unpleasant shopping experience. They DO have a lot of stuff. A LOT - hair products, produce items, frozen foods, prepared foods - hit and miss, but they have a lottta stuff. Maybe not what you came in for, though! read more
