So I get a hold of someone to take my order for a 2 inch bone in ribeye and i get attitude and told they have plenty of cuts in the case. I am specifically looking for thick cut not the thin tiny barely an inch steaks in the meat case. it would be one thing if i came in late and they were cleaned up and they showed me what they had in the back. im getting nothing from them but attitude. so no more chances. im done with murphys. horrible little store run by horrible little people. theyre pandering for money.

If you need to pick up a few staples or items that you need for your home cooked lunch or dinner in your summer/rental home, this is the most convenient marketplace for extra goods in Barnegat Light. Purchases here support a local business of the island, which is a nice mental reframe. There's not a large variety of different packaged items, but it does the job when you're in a pinch. They also have household goods, snacks, and produce. There is a butcher in the back of the market as well as pastries and bagels tucked away (I heard they're delicious, but unfortunately I could not have any as I'm gluten free). They also have a mini fridge in the back which hoagies to go as well as cheese. If you want a sandwich made fresh for you or cold cuts to go, they do that too! They also have free tootsie rolls by the butcher which I thought was a cute touch. Note: they are no longer "Cash Only" and accept credit card as payment! Grab a free local newspaper (The Sandpaper - haha so cute) here as well if you want to know high/low tides within the next week.
